Miriam great employee 😁
I was helped by Miriam and she was very patient and professional. I wanted a slightly larger car than I had originally rented, and she helped us very well with that. The car was fine. The employees who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport were friendly and professional. Everything was arranged perfectly. We will be back next time!
With DRIVALIA SPAIN you pay double full cover!!
DRIVALIA SPAIN works with a Car rental broker called ORBIT CAR HIRE.
I rented ( payed) to have a car in Spain (Alicante) with ORBIT car hire. I was told that according to Spanish rules, I had to pay for a full cover, which I did.
When got in Spain, I went to DRIVALIA and was asked to pay for a full cover or leave a deposit of 1200£ ( on an already payed full cover car?????)
I did not have a credit card and ended up having to pay AGAIN a full cover insurance. They never wanted to see the email proving that I already payed a full cover and there answer was: you rented through a low cost company, you will need to speak with them!!
They work together or not???? Customer always paying for this “ obscure arrangements”between companies.
DRIVALIA/ORBIT CAR HIRE- TO AVOID

STAY AWAY ORDINARY THIEFS
Never again!
I returned the rental car in Valencia exactly according to Drivalia's instructions: I parked it at the designated location and handed over the key to a person designated by Drivalia. The car was undamaged at that time, which I can prove with photos and videos taken immediately upon return.
Subsequently, I received a damage claim of €517 for two instances of paint damage that were allegedly discovered 5.5 hours after the car had been returned. During that entire period, the car was under Drivalia's responsibility, not mine.
Despite emailing my photos and video evidence, Drivalia kept asking for proof, while my substantive questions went unanswered. It was as if they had not really read my emails. After submitting an official complaint, I was even told that there were suddenly four damages instead of two and was again asked to provide evidence. Furthermore, my email was not addressed in any substantive way.
Moreover, Drivalia states that a renter remains responsible for the vehicle until an employee has inspected it. In my case, that would mean well over 5.5 hours after the end of the rental period. This is not stated in the terms and conditions, nor was it ever explained to me when I picked up the car. Because you no longer have control over the car after returning it, I would never have agreed to such a condition.
Therefore, I asked by email where in the terms and conditions this is stated, or on what contractual or legal basis a renter can be held liable for damage that is only identified after the car has been properly returned. I also asked why the car was not inspected until 5.5 hours after its return.
Because the number of reported damages keeps changing and my questions remain unanswered, with no further responses to my emails, I have serious concerns about the way damage claims are handled and suspect that this may not be an isolated incident. I am surprised that insurers are not taking action on this.
If Drivalia fails to provide a substantive response, I will submit this case to the European Consumer Centre.
My advice: stay away from Drivalia.

Annika & Raul in the Alicante office…
Annika & Raul in the Alicante office provided us with outstanding service - they were super polite, transparent and even gave us their recommendations for the area. The office was clean and the process for renting the car was completed very fast. Definitely recommend to rent through Drivalia and hope you have the pleasure of being assisted by Annika or Raul!

We’ve been renting cars from Drivalia for 6 months now and they’re great. Always happy to help and Christian in the Barcelona Airport office has been especially helpful if we’ve ever had any issues. Very happy with our experience 👍

Was urged to pay an exorbitant price…
Was urged to pay an exorbitant price for debit security package. "Last Car" " Next Customer was already behind me" Had to pay nearly 1000€ extra while online said about 250-300€. No Clear Condition, was told this is the price i definetly has to pay. Scared of losing the 400€ without getting a car i paid. Scamer using time Pressure. Never Again.

Booked a van with Drivalia at Heathrow…
Booked a van with Drivalia at Heathrow for a house move – confirmed reservation, turned up on time, and was simply told no van was available.
This wasn’t a casual hire – it was for a planned move. Being a Sunday, there were no alternative vans available anywhere, and I was left in a very difficult position at the last minute. The move only went ahead because a friend stepped in to help.
I completely understand that vehicles can develop faults, but the issue here is reliability. A confirmed booking should mean something – especially when customers are relying on it for important events like moving home.
What’s most disappointing is the response afterwards. Despite acknowledging the failure, Drivalia refused to offer any meaningful goodwill gesture – only a small discount on a future booking, which requires trusting them again.
In short:
* Confirmed booking not honoured
* No alternative provided
* No real resolution offered
I would strongly advise anyone with a time-critical need (especially a move) to think carefully before relying on this company.
Very disappointing experience.

Not willing to replace a dangerously malfunctioning car
We had a malfunctioning wheel sensor and a broken speedmeter in our car. Car was breaking on it’s own, traction control system was not working and on the third day the speedmeter was showing 50-60 km/h higher speed than reality, even when stopped. We went to the rental location in Malaga airport and requested a replacement car.
The customer service was incredibly rude. We were given a list of excuses why they wouldn’t help us:
-We rented through Discovercars so they said we should call them and not Drivalia.
-They said car was fine when we got it so it is our responsibility
-They said we didn’t buy extra insurance so any problems with car is not Drivalia’s issue.
We asked to talk to the manager. They pointed to the manager, who ignored us and did not come to assist in the situation.
We did not receive a replacement car. Later we filed a complaint through Discovercars and requested a refund. Drivalia claimed to Discovercars that we never visited them to request a replacement car.
Stay away from Drivalia, the worst rental place.
We booked out car with discover cars.
This rental place was a nightmare and a liar.
After couple of days driving the car we noticed that the speedmeter was not working: even when we were stopped, the speedmeter was showing 60 km/h. Also, while driving in highway, the car started to break alone and it was really scary. We tried to call them to receive a replacement and we never got the answer. Then we went there with that car and they told us that they wouldn't replace the car because we didn't have the full insurance. But this was a security issue to do the car and they should have replaced it. We asked to write black on white they didn't want to replace the car and they said :we don't have paper and pen. At the end we left because they were really rude and unprofessional.
We started the process of refund with discover cars(they tried their best and we think it is a good service) and Drivalia told them that they would have replaced the car but we asked them to come in out location to replace it, that we never went there! We have proof of our Google movement to show that we went there and also that we tried to call them but we never got an answer so it is impossible that we had the discussion by phone. They are liar and really unprofessional. The car are unsafe and they don't care about safety of the people. Stay away from this place. Stuff extremely unprofessional and rude.
Raul was fantastic
Raul was fantastic! He was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the rental process. He made everything easy and stress-free, answered all my questions, and provided excellent customer service. I highly recommend Raul—thank you for all your help!
