Broadband switch from BT

I switched over from BT and was getting full fibre speed almost but at a high price, I chose full fibre 500 from Plusnet but after 14 days I am only getting about 180 mbps and initially their child protection system didn't work, they were supposed to get back to me with their technicians, but they never did, so not all that impressed, I am saving about £250 a year compared with BT though.

Went to get a replacement battery at…

Went to get a replacement battery at the Cleethorpes Tesco branch and he told me it would be over £60 for my ladies watch, I said you only charged me about £13 last year, he said the rules have been charged it is a Longines and that is what I have to put in, I said any suitable battery would do and he said he could not do that as he was being watched, he went on to say Timpsons are not interested in you as a single customer as they earn millions every week. He was quite curt about it and I said I will not be using you again. I bought the batteries on line for just over £3 and got two of them.

I have complained over 4 years that my gas meter does not send data and now does not always show a reading, been told this time that it has not been commissioned and to send a photo of the meter so that they can look into it. This company is a big joke.

The Crataegus Plena Tree came after 8…

The Crataegus Plena Tree came after 8 working days, the delivery courier was very good as was the packaging for the tree. The tree was a sturdy looking specimen and bigger than advertised, I planted the same day as they advised in their leaflet and it looks great. Will use again without hesitation.

I ordered a Crataegus Plena tree from Ornamental Trees and they told me it would be 4 weeks before it was sent, I could not wait that long, because I was going on a long holiday in a couple of weeks, so had to cancel the order, I received the payment back in my paypal account the same day, very impressed

I liked the cover and the way they run…

I liked the cover and the way they run their home insurance, but you pay well over the odds, they increased my cover by over £54 this year and I have never made a claim, as a result I got the same cover with another well respected company for £100 less.

An error occurred on my account whereby…

An error occurred on my account whereby over £2300 appeared as a debit, when I was actually over £400 in credit. I phoned up Octopus and Will who dealt with me soon sorted it out, it seems either myself or a system error put a 1 in on a reading instead of a 0. If only everything in life was sorted out like this, I give 5 stars to Will and Octopus.

Octopus energy suddenly put a £2380.80…

Octopus energy suddenly put a £2380.80 debit on my account bill when in reality I was still in credit by over £300, it seems to relate to my electric bill, and it is more than I pay each year for combined Gas and Electric. I have sent them an Email and if they don't sort it out quick I shall be contacting the Ombudsman, I am a senior citizen who is very careful how I use my utilities and it has upset both my wife and myself enormously. I phoned up Octopus and Will soon sorted this out either myself or a system error put a 1 in front of a reading instead of a 0, soon sorted by Octopus. My faith is restored long may they give such brilliant customer service.

I told them that I was not renewing my car insurance and received a letter saying that it would not be renewed and giving me my no claims record, but ever since they have kept sending me an email saying thank you for renewing your car insurance with us, it is extremely confusing and annoying, I would not use them again.

Not the cheapest

Not the cheapest, but you can actually speak to someone on the phone that you can understand. I had a couple of glitches when I bought their car Insurance, but it was soon sorted over the phone, the cheapo insurance out there is just that, you get what you pay for.

Experian keep sending me an email…

Experian keep sending me an email telling me my credit is locked and to unlock it if needed, but there is nowhere on their sight where I can unfreeze it that I can find and they are impossible to contact on the phone even though I give the correct details requested, I strongly advice people to stay well clear of them, they are a nightmare.

I believe the spin a wheel to get an imaginary prize is just a scam, they never print who has won anything to the people on the site that I have ever seen, I have stopped buying the rag as a result. It was OK when you received Nectar points, now it just a waste of time.

I was transferred over by BT Mobile to EE and was told my old number would be ported over the next day or within 48 hours, this has not happened and now I am stuck with a number that nobody knows and is causing me problems, you cannot actually speak to a person at EE and just get sent round in circles to no avail, avoid at all costs, I am going to cancel.

We aim to transfer your mobile number over to our network within 48-72 hours, depending on when you do this, you can continue to use your BT SIM in the time being as well, so I'm sure your number has now transferred over.
