DO NOT BUY

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY BECAUSE YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF SIGNED UP TO A SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE AND IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO FIND OUT HOW TO STOP IT.
I contacted the company directly citing fraudulent activity and then managed to get PayPal to cancel future payments. I had a reply from 'James' at NutriPaw who told me how to cancel my subscription but it was not easy to find the CANCEL button. When I eventually did I had to cancel several times as they really do not want you to do this.
I do not care how good the product might be I will NEVER purchase from them again and advise you to do the same. It is pure FRAUD. If the product is that good it will speak for itself. We do not need this extreme type of selling in the UK.

Customer Serviceless

When we moved in 4.5 years ago we found a non-working 'smart' meter which although unreadable to us was still giving readings to Eon. They were informed and ignored this information! This went on for over a year until they finally realised that we now had an extremely large bill to pay, which was well over £1k. We went to Ofcom who agreed with us the customer and fined them a measly £300 (Toothless) So we had to suck it up and pay. We refused after that to pay by DD and instead used Standing orders which kept our account in credit. On first of every month a meter reading was sent to them but started receiving interim bills via text, email and post demanding payment for 'overdue' account! Finally after my husband died I decided to confront them and requested a stop to this harassment. I was then informed that it was due to their 'system'. You can imagine my reply. I was then asked if I wished to make an official complaint to which I finally agreed. To top it all was then asked what I wanted as compensation. I suggested no more bills at all until I moved house which was imminent ........their answer was to stop their 'system' sending monthly bills but to make it 3 monthly instead and all this to a pensioner who has no access to large amounts of money. My advice is DO NOT USE THIS ENERGY COMPANY as there is no sensible customer service and when I do move I shall NOT BE USING EON ever again!

Brilliant company with great products

I have been using this company for about 4 years for myself and until last year, my husband. The website is easy to use and delivery has always been within 48 hours and often less than that! All the items that I have bought have had a very positive effect and the most astonishing one was Mucuna for my husband after a series of strokes. Nearly two years ago he was given a month to live but when I gave him the Mucuna he rallied astonishingly so much so that I was able to have him coherent and moving for another 18 months, almost up until he sadly died. Lungwort also helped with his breathing when he became less active. As for myself the Marine Collagen is a life saver and am now able to grow nails and hair! I have also only had one cold in the last four years (Vitamin C & D not to mention one or two other pills) and that was due to my granddaughter! All in all I cannot recommend this company enough and would never buy any vitamins or minerals on the high street again.

Disgusting Vanilla Latte Macchiato

I have ordered from this company twice before but on my last order my usual Vanilla Latte was out of stock so ordered Vanilla Latte Macchiato which finally arrived later than previous orders and was disgusting! When I opened up the capsules I found that the milk powder was not liquidising leaving most, still in powder form, inside the capsule. Complained to Kaffek who took two days to respond wanting more details, photos, serial numbers etc. I replied by return with these details and two more days elapsed before they replied wanting a video of my machine working. Again I complied, requesting a refund or replacement of my usual Vanilla Latte as per UK law. However only offered voucher which is not correct. This company definitely not as good as it used to be and will seriously consider against using them again. Cannot therefore recommend Kaffek.

ANYTHING would be an improvement

ANYTHING would be an improvement. Wish I had read the reviews here first.
Ordered my sons birthday present on 25th March for 4th April and here we are the 9th April. No present, only communication continually states 'PROCESSING' and I am beginning to wonder if anyone has actually received anything from this company! One more week and then trying for an UNLIKELY refund......SCAM! Do not waste your money or time on this company.

No delivery and no apology or communication.22

Having used this company to deliver our prescriptions for about 4 years without problems, I ordered my own prescription at the end of January this year and to date have still not received it at the time of writing which is now 4 weeks later! I have made two telephone calls and each time been told that one item is out of stock but they cannot tell me which one. I have had one communication only by email a week after ordering and since then nothing ...not even an apology! Both items ordered are long term medication that I need to take every day and have almost run out. Delivery promised 24 hrs yesterday but nothing! Original order now cancelled after yesterdays phone call and new order made! Not impressed.

Still OK but not what it used to be which was brilliant 😱

Co-Op. Greedy profiteering funeral directors

Upon my husband's death, my daughter and I decided to use the Co-op Funeral directors in Carlisle as Lincolnshire Co-Op had given good service when arranging the funeral of my mother in 2017.
However this was a most unpleasant experience. Not only was the office dark and dismal but the true cost options were hidden. When we decided on a plan and forms were completed we were then told that these costings did not cover the crematorium costs which were well over £1k, nor the flowers, stationery, celebrant etc which would have virtually doubled the cost of the funeral. In fact we found it difficult to understand how they could possibly charge such an horrendous amount for little or no work, being mainly just collection and cold storage...Pure greed and no compassion.
This type of 'selling' is nasty and underhand. Costs should be upfront and proportionate and if extras not needed then deducted from the total not added. It leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth as it appears this company is trading off people's grief, making you feel guilty if you do not decide to use the most expensive options.... worst all of this was all said with an ingratiating smile.
We have now changed funeral directors and are using a compassionate and lovely local company. They are slightly more expensive but the difference is extraordinarily refreshing, making my husband's passing a lot less traumatic.
If you need a caring company to look after you during this horrible time then do not use the
Co-op Funeralcare because the 'care' has been lost in favour of greed/pure profit.
Update....I have just had an auto generated reply which shows that they did not read my review where I stated that it was the Carlisle Branch and NOT Lincolnshire. Think this tells you everything doesn't it!
Second update....Usual reply which is sent to all dissenters and would love to know who 'abs' is!
This company has my contact details but they have not made any attempt to do so. I therefore repeat DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY WHO ONLY WANT TO CLEAR OUT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT.

Stopped at Costa on the M 74 just north of Carlisle on the southbound carriageway for a coffee with mac n'cheese.
Tiramasu iced coffee not available nor was the mac n'cheese... Indeed many items were listed as 'not available'
Had panini instead which was virtually inedible with hardly any filling in it. In all £14 for a disgraceful meal is a rip off. Costa needs to get it's act together or close as customers won't put up with this for long!

Beware, yet another rip-off insurance company.

We insure several machines with this company and up until now have had no cause for complaint. However when my old Whirlpool washing machine gave up the struggle with my stroke survivor husband's excessive washing of clothes, bed clothes etc in February this year, I was told that my insurance covered the cost of a new machine.
Great I thought until an email arrived giving me the choice of just 2 'free' Hotpoint washing machines and a further 3 if I paid extra. I checked these out with Which? but none of them had a great rating. I therefore chose the best of a bad bunch but when I started using it I realised it was not a patch on my old Whirlpool. When I contacted Domestic and General to complain all they would do was send out an engineer to check it over which was unnecessary as it was the way the machine was made. The settings mean that it takes hours to wash and if you use the short cycle it cannot manage a full load and the spin is poor so one has to use the extra spin cycle. This is hopeless for our needs and although I explained this to them they were not interested. We are now landed with a useless Hotpoint washing machine and we cannot afford to buy a different one.
We will therefore be looking to insure our machines with a different company who understands peoples needs and does not rip it's customers off!

Hello Sarah,

Thank you for taking the time to review D&G.

I’m very sorry to hear about the troubles you’ve experienced with the replacement models, especially given the health circumstances with your husband. I completely understand how upsetting this must be for you.

Please be assured that we always aim to replace appliances with like-for-like models, based on your machine’s model number and specifications. The replacement offered should match the specifications of your previous appliance.

If this is not the case, I would encourage you to contact our Product Replacement Team directly at 03330004970 . They will be able to escalate this further and ensure you receive the appropriate support.

It was a real faff to set up but worth it in the end.

It was a real faff to put my vehicle on this site witsh continual requests to retake photos which then took ages to upload. Foreign customer services which was difficult to understand as I wear hearing aids but eventually it was offered for sale and the price was a great deal better than 'We Buy Any Car'. Buyer contacted me quickly and collection was arranged smoothly. If you use this site do not expect a quick sale due to the continual demands for better photos, but the price is better.

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your review. We’re sorry you encountered issues while trying to sell your vehicle.

Looking at your account, we can see that our Sales Team had requested the service history documents on several occasions. Unfortunately, the photos of the documents that you originally submitted were blurry and could not be used.

These records serve as proof that the car has been properly maintained, which reassures potential buyers that the vehicle is in good condition and less likely to have hidden issues. Furthermore, we cannot list the vehicle as being fully serviced unless we have these documents which may have affected your final offer in the case that these documents were not properly submitted.

It's important that you upload all required documents using good quality photos to prevent any delays in the selling process. When the images are clear and complete, our team can efficiently review them, allowing the sale to progress without any unnecessary interruptions. If the photos you submit are not suitable, we may need to reach out to you to retake them, which can slow down the process.

While we regret that you found it difficult to understand some of the agents you spoke to, Motorway is proud to be a multicultural employer operating from offices in Brighton, Durban, London and Cape Town. Additionally, all of our agents have a high level of English proficiency and are fully trained on how to list vehicles onto our platform.

Whilst it is regrettable that your experience was not more in line with our usual high standards of customer satisfaction, we are pleased that you were ultimately able to sell your vehicle, and we wish you all the best going forward.

Kind regards,

Jason

No manned tills and long, long queues

Went to the Carlisle store on a Sunday to buy outside paint in 10l. pots, so very heavy. Got to the checkout to pay only to find huge queues and only one till that was manned. It was absolute chaos. They were having to open tills at Customer Service areas etc and I had to wait until the manned till was free because I was unable to lift the large pots of paint onto the conveyor to be scanned. Quite disgusting. The staff were trying to help but what a dreadful way to treat your customers. B&Q need to sort this out immediately. It used to be a nice place to shop with plenty of manned tills and no queues. It will be a long time before I return.

Review of Starbucks UK

INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE & UNCOMFORTABLE

Decided to go to Starbucks in Carlisle for a coffee and a bite to eat before taking the dogs for a walk, but were horrified at the cost. Every coffee over £5 except for flat whites! All cakes about £2.50 and very small. The cost for two flat whites, two paninis and one cake was eye watering. The tables were unsteady and small, barely enough room to sit two people around and totally unsuitable for my disabled husband. Only good thing to say about it was that it is easily accessible by car and quiet....not surprised though due to the prices. Will not be going again.

Totally on the side of Energy…

Totally on the side of Energy Companies.
We bought an empty property to do up and on arrival found that the so called 'Smart' meter wasn't so smart with no reading on it. Told Eon who totally ignored us and kept sending estimated bills for small amounts. Finally after a year told them we were not legally required to pay until we had an actual reading. Sent a meter reader out who could not read it either and finally sent bill for £2k because 'they could read it at their end'. Had normal meter fitted and so disgusted we contacted Ombudsman asking to have bill wiped up until new meter fitted, due to their disgusting customer service. Ombudsman decided to slap them on the wrist with small fine and we have been left with no recourse other than to pay it. Husband disabled with stroke and both pensioners but Ombudsman states decision is final...where next?
After their reply to this rating which is full of platitudes I will wait for them to contact me because when I tried to get the decision altered they just cut me off!

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Be very careful if using this company because nothing is their fault. Surveyed our house before moving and again for equity release company. Long report sent but with next to no information in it. House bought as renovation project but no effort to ascertain dampness. Had been empty for nearly two years and floors were found to be rotten with dry rot! Could actually put my foot through the floorboards in one place. Carpets were not fixed and no furniture in house so no excuse for not checking. Paid over asking price to secure purely on surveyor's recommendation that 'it was a solid little property'.
Caused untold problems with our health as we had to live in it whilst the builders worked and they found all drains outside broken allowing water ingress from outside. Again no attempt to lift covers and check!
What does one pay for...this company has cost us all our money and my husband's health but it is still not their fault.....DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE PRETEND SURVEYORS.
