Do not book a hotel through Vio. This experience felt like a bait and switch.
My family and I saved for this trip and paid almost $1,300 for a room with two beds. Vio took our payment and sent us a confirmation, so we trusted that our reservation was secured.
Then, only a couple of days before our trip, Vio told us they could not honor the reservation they had already confirmed.
Their solution was a room with only one bed and $100 in compensation. One bed does not work for my family. What made this even more upsetting was seeing the replacement room selling for less than $500 when we had paid almost $1,300.
From a customer's perspective, this felt like a bait and switch. We paid for one room, received confirmation for it, and then right before our trip were offered a significantly cheaper room that did not meet our family's needs.
My family worked hard and saved for this trip. Instead of being excited, we were left stressed and scrambling at the last minute.
I understand problems happen, but a confirmed reservation should mean something. Offering $100 does not make up for the difference in the room, the price, or the stress this caused my family.
I would not trust Vio with another family trip.

Buyer beware!! I’ve used Expedia for many years and never had any problems being refunded if plans changed well in advance. I’m taking my son to visit colleges in West Texas & Vio popped up in a Google search of lodgings. I booked rooms for two separate stays, one in San Angelo over a month from now. Our plans changed so I had to cancel just the San Angelo trip, not the trip in 2 weeks to Canyon Tx. I am being told the 2 night stay is non refundable, whaaat? I can’t afford to lose money & even the hotel policy allows customers a refund if cancelled early

Customer service was amazing
Customer service was amazing. They helped me get my refund on a non refundable purchase. I tried to cancel the purchase fast right after realizing I selected the wrong date and that it was non refundable, exited the website but it still went through few mins later. It was fast response and fast result.
