It’s not a safe platform. Be careful shopping

If a seller makes an offer to you for their item and you purchase, and they turn around immediately and say they “sold it long ago just not on here”.
You are at their mercy to get your money back. With a very long wait. I was dumbfounded.
July 20th this happened. Thought “oh nice offer”
Reached out for help because times are hard. School shopping for my child. Reply from them:
“We appreciate that you've already asked the seller to cancel the order. If the seller no longer has the item available, we encourage them to cancel the transaction as soon as possible.
However, under Poshmark's shipping policy, sellers are given up to 7 days to ship an order. Until that shipping window has passed, we're unable to cancel the order from our end.
If the seller has not shipped or canceled the order by July 28, you'll be able to cancel the order”
ORDER GETS CANCELLED: Your order was cancelled on July 22, 2026. Your refund has been successfully processed back to your original method of payment. Please allow 10-14 business days for the refund to show up on your credit card statement.
Could be two weeks without money to help my kid. No way to override and help when someone was scammed with proof in the writing and pictures.
It’s terrible business that can really hurt at times.
It’s not safe to shop. I won’t buy or sale again.

The purse I ordered was a fake

The purse I ordered, a YSL straw bag Tote was not even a knock off, it was barely recognizable as the real YSL straw tote. I could have purchased an item at target that was better quality. I can now say Poshmark DOES NOT review all products for quality and that the product is not a fake. For the price I expected a good fake. I went to Poshmark, they agreed it was not as advertised. They sent me a return label and was told when it was received by the seller I would be refunded. I sent it off in the mail the next day and 10 days later it came back to me as undeliverable and not able to forward. I contacted Poshmark and got crickets. I then went to discover as thy are good at getting your money back if you get a defective product or in this case a fake. Poshmark pushed back on the dispute and even with my photos and copy of documents sent to me by Poshmark my dispute was denied. Thus, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. It is a lie that they stand behind the products they sell. I am not out almost $300. I would give them zero stars but that is not an option.

I have had an extremely disappointing experience with Poshmark. Multiple charges were deducted from my bank account without my clear authorization or understanding, and despite repeatedly attempting to contact customer support, I have received little to no meaningful response.
It is unacceptable for a company handling customers' financial information to ignore disputes involving unauthorized or unexplained charges. The lack of timely communication and accountability has left me frustrated and concerned about the security of my payment information.
Customers deserve transparent billing, prompt investigations, and effective customer service when reporting payment issues. Instead, I have spent valuable time trying to resolve these charges with no satisfactory explanation.

Horrible and dishonest post and cutomer service from seller and admin.

I ordered what was stated on the seller's site, and it stated it was an 8P.

I heard nothing back when I reached out to saxthrift, the seller.
I then reached out to customer service, and they said the size was correct. I provided info that showed they are different, but they just sent me their original denial.

It’s happened a few times where a seeker misrepresents their item and somehow that’s my fault as a buyer but this time it’s the app itself that suggested the item was what I was looking for so I bought confidently, trusting the app. The black dress I ordered turned out to be a blue dress which I showed customer support and somehow the app automatically released the funds. The customer service has never bothered replying properly to me instead closing the case without looking at it. I emailed customer support ABS was told to be patient and that someone would be in touch. It’s been 5 weeks and no one bothered contacting me, worse the case shows as closed again. I’m out a lot of money because of an app glitch and they don’t have the decency to reply.

Poshmark sent me a wrong label to ship my dress. First someone says they will release my funds, then another rep said I should double check their labels. The post office shows it was delivered, but the recipient denies it. Poshmark keeps closing my case and so I request it to be re-opened. Their mistake. All I get is excuses. I want my funds released. Stay away from Poshmark. Use eBay instead.

Customer service for returns is a joke.

Twice I have sent an item and a buyer has opened a bogie return case. I provided full, irrefutable evidence each time and they side with the buyer. Recently, I tried to return an item that was not as described, with proof AND the seller agreeing, and they denied it. You can’t win with Poshmark. It’s literally AI bots who don’t actually look at the situation. This is why everyone is jumping ship for other platforms.

Stay away from this platform

Stay away from this platform. They care absolutely nothing for the customer. Customer support is inept and uncooperative. They engage in unfair business practices. I have been a buyer since 2017 spending thousands. They refused to return $36 which is basically miniscule compared to thousands which I would have spent if they had not denied my return. In actuality, Poshmark did me a favor. I am purchasing from Depop. Ebay and Mercari are far more superior. Poshmark needs to deal with their insensitivity and blatant injustice concerning how they handle returns.

This is THE WORST COMPANY for second…

This is THE WORST COMPANY for second hand buying. They never help, they never actually read the messages or reply to what was written or investigate far enough to help. They just restate the problem and close cases. There are no consequences for sellers no shipping things out, or ignoring buyers, there’s no cancel option for buyers, and they allow sellers (Justbag.NET) untrustworthy seller , to repost multiple of the exact same item ( same serial number) that was already bought, then allow sellers to block buyers after spending $2000 for asking why the items were reposted after you bought it and was waiting on it to be shipped. Such a rude unprofessional sellers and a company and employees who are unhelpful and unsupportive of buyers.

Poshmark is decent but I recently bought something that the seller was not up front about a rip in the white denim, it wasn’t obvious in the pictures and she did not disclose it in the written description I’m sure she was hoping I would not notice, which I did not and I did not win the appeal! That is my biggest beef with Poshmark they rarely ever take your side or misrepresentation

Not Worth the Hassle

The selling process is incredibly laborious, does not make sense, and requires various random verifications and can only be done one way. It requires various text messages, account verifications, and the customer service to support this process was terrible.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I have ordered three times from this site. With one the product was delivered but not what it was purported to be. With the other two after the purchase had gone through the seller contacted me through the Postmark site and said they no longer had the item, it had already been sold. Poshmark's response - after they had already charged my card - "Tell the seller to cancel the order and it will be refunded." This site is a scammer's paradise! AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS! You'll be much happier!

Seller Sent Wrong Item

Seller sent wrong item. Twelve days ago I filed a NAD/Sent wrong item to Poshmark Support and I can't get anywhere. Poshmark no longer has a phone number and I think everything is in a chatbot loop. I have sent all original order info with pics, all payment information and all the information/pics of the wrong item.

Poshmark states they have buyer protection. I purchased 'NWT Anine Bing White Size 28 Current Season Jeans'. I received USED Black jeans and the waistband inside reads 3x1 and 1/1.

I have never heard from the Florida seller. Poshmark has been unresponsive despite my continued approach to getting this professionally resolved. I have requested a return label multiple times, because I want to return the used black jeans to the seller, and have not received an official label. You are not permitted to return outside the Poshmark system.

I have tried multiple approaches by trying to work officially with Poshmark, PayPal, BBB and the Ohio Attorney General Office.

As a many years seller and buyer on Poshmark I guess I am too small of a buyer and seller to matter. I purchased from a seller with over 4,000 items in their closet. I guess the small buyer/seller at Poshmark isn't important. Do not believe the Poshmark buyer protection exists if you believe my account.

All in all: zero buyer protection, extremely poor customer service and no refund coming my way.

Update: I sent a Poshmark complaint via BBB. I found out today that despite filing a claim X2 via Poshmark Support per instructed, Poshmark claims online was not the way to file a complaint and it was supposed to be via the app. Thirteen days have passed and this was never brought up in the claim process.

Somehow, I feel very frustrated by the seller and Poshmark. I'm only out $49.62 but I feel extremely disappointed in the seller and Poshmark. I'm going to send the ugly, wrong black jeans to the seller on my dime and we will close our Poshmark account. It's the old buyer beware.

07-13-2026 New update: I continue to get daily excuses from Poshmark about why they refuse to refund my $49.62. The back and forth is via the BBB. This morning, at my expense, I returned the black used jeans I was sent to the seller. I ordered Anine Bing NWT's White Size 28 Current Season $295 (that was the listing title). I could not keep the black jeans because they are not mine---that would be stealing. Nor, do I want something very inferior to what I purchased as a poor substitute.

I get it! It isn't much of a loss. I am an ICU RN, my husband is an MBA/LSSBB. It isn't so much the money as Poshmark's buyer Protection Policy is worthless. Buyers need to know this is not a safe place to spend their money.

I keep asking myself why the hard refusal by Poshmark to honor their own Buyer Protection Policy? Why are they protecting a poor seller? Is it her 4,000+ item closet? My other thought is Poshmark is expecting PayPal or C.C. companies to eat their financial mistakes. Poshmark is ferociously guarding their bottom line or greatly enjoying practicing Annoyance Ecomony. Poshmark is not looking to guard their reputation.
