Excellent service, they completed the job very well but I had a little issue with a staff

Let me just say that customers need to be aware that if you have any issues with their app, you will be referred to the Angi Marketplace. Once connected, you will be told that the staff at Handy who referred you for an issue with the Handy app were wrong. Angi owns but does nothing to correct your issue with Handy but, rather, they want you to get a contractor through them. The result, my project at Handy was $250 whereas the same job is $650 through Angi. Which one would you pick? Suffice to say, Angi owns Handy and you if you foolishly decide to go with Handy. I’m crossing both Handy and Angi off for future projects.

They are the best at what they do and definitely give you the best interior designs money can buy.

I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the service I received and the customer experience. My original appointment was set for July 25 at 10:30 a.m., but just 30 minutes prior, I was notified it was rescheduled to July 28 at 7:00 a.m. On July 27, I received the pro’s number and reached out. The pro asked me to send photos of the space and suggested I purchase additional items from Home Depot to assist him, which I did.
On July 28, I called the pro at 6:30 a.m., but no answer. He contacted me at 9:30 a.m., saying he needed to pick up materials. He arrived at 10:30 a.m. and marked the job complete at 12:38 p.m. Upon inspecting, it was clear the job was incomplete. The pro said I needed to request more time, despite me booking six hours. He then left and sat in his car. I called Handy immediately while he was still on-site. The job was rescheduled for the next day, then again for July 30 at 1:00 p.m., but it was canceled 30 minutes prior. I missed two workdays for a job never done.
Today, I spoke with a representative named Dale. When I expressed how inconsiderate it is to notify customers of cancellations so last-minute, he explained that pros receive at least 48 hours of lead time. It seems clear to me that your company prioritizes the pros’ convenience over paying customers.
On July 28, I requested a supervisor call within 24 hours, which never happened. Attached are photos of my floors before and after the incomplete job. I trust you will investigate this thoroughly and provide a resolution, including compensation for lost time and an appropriate remedy for the unfinished work.
Thank You,

Turns out they have been charging my Visa card $30 a year for the past four years for me as a handyman, when in fact I'm not even handy. I must have clicked the wrong button somewhere down the line. Main point; when I called to cancel, "A.C." customer service person extremely rude, patronizing, condesending, and supercilious. As a result, I will never do business with any of their clients again.
I recently purchased a Nectar mattress and bedframe online. They recommended handy.com to put it together. I immediately put in a service request and was scheduled for today at 1 PM. Checking back frequently with the app I saw that no “pro“ was assigned. I contacted customer service two days ago and was told that sometimes pros are scheduled in the hours immediately before a service. So I checked again with customer service two hours ago and received almost an identical response. Although customer service are supposed to be live humans, I strongly believe I was speaking with bots. 90 minutes before my scheduled service, I was notified that it had to be rescheduled “due to a last-minute pro call off,” which is BS. NO PRO WAS EVER SCHEDULED. As I mentioned to their customer service, if they have no pros in the area, they should not accept the booking. Fortunately I was able to cancel the service after they rescheduled it for a date several days from now, When I looked for where to leave this review, I realized that they have a very low rating on Yelp and I should have done my homework. I will also notify Nectar that I’m very disappointed and hope they don’t continue to recommend handy.com. If I could give less than one star, I would.
The pro didn't show up, nor did he answer his phone or text messages. Had to call Customer Service to report the no show. Total waste of my time.

I used to like this platform. It was a convenient way to get small jobs done. But they've changed their booking system and automatically assign a time frame they think it will take to complete your job. I have a repeat task I do every summer - installing my air conditioner units. I have 4 of them. In the past it took 2-3 hours max. They told me it would take 8 hours, and don't allow you to edit that any longer. What's more, when you cancel it, they don't automatically refund you, they credit you. So basically they steal your money twice. I deleted them from my phone. What a scam. And in the long run that will hurt the professionals they use, because people won't pay twice as much for tasks just because Handy thinks they work slowly.

Handy/furniture.com is a SCAM company!!
Beware, we had two scheduled appointments that they canceled a hour before without any formal warning.
The excuse both times was an installer emergency.
This is a trash company and Angie needs to cancel their contract.

I scheduled a house cleaning 2 weeks in advance, on the day of the cleaning I had the pro cancel on me 20 minutes prior to the appointment. I called customer services 3 times, first time the representative just cancelled the appointment, did not refund. Second time, representative disconnected when placing me on hold and the third time i finally getting someone that was process my refund. i was in the phone for about 45 minutes. They offer $10 credit, but honestly it is not the money was not giving enough notice to book another professional / company. This is a lack of respect for my time and lack of professionalism on the pro's part. Handy has no back up pros - I will never again try to use their services. The pro's name is Rachid Z on the Houston Area, avoid him if you book something.

Paid for someone to deep clean. They came with a little cleaning supplies. Said my house was too much for the price and they left. This was after the first person couldn't make it. I will not try to use this service again. Wasted my whole day waiting for someone to help me get my house ready for an inspection. Should've just cleaned it myself from the beginning.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!! Purchased an outdoor table and chairs from Lowe's and paid extra for assembly, thinking this could free me up to do other jobs. Table and chairs arrived and Lowe's said Handy would be assigning someone to come and I would hear from them within 48 hours. After 3 days, I reached out to Handy and they asked for the "job number", but none was assigned. I reached out to Lowe's for that job number, and they said they'd "escalate" it with Handy. 4 days later, I still haven't heard from them. We're TWO WEEKS post-delivery, the boxes are just sitting there, and Handy is nowhere to be found. They won't return e-mails, calls, anything. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

Zamoni did an excellent job! Everything was clean, she was so responsive and even left a folded swan towel on my bed.

⚠️ WARNING TO THE COMMUNITY ⚠️
Please do NOT book with Homeaglow.
I gave this company not one, but TWO chances—and both times they completely wasted my time. The first time, I booked a cleaning service and they never showed up. I asked for a refund and wanted nothing more to do with them.
Instead, they contacted me again offering a discount to reschedule. I decided to give them another chance. I booked again for the 19th, with service scheduled for the 21st… and once again, they NEVER showed up.
I waited all morning for nothing. No call, no real support, no accountability. They don’t even have a proper phone number—only email—which makes it even more frustrating to deal with.
At this point, I seriously question if this company is even legitimate. This experience has been nothing but stressful and a complete waste of time.
Please protect your time and money and avoid this company
