bad at best
My experience with Dreame’s customer service has been one of the worst I’ve encountered with a consumer electronics brand, and the problem is not a single mistake—it is a systemic failure in communication, process control, and accountability.
Chronic Misinformation and Contradictory Guidance
From the start, Dreame repeatedly informed me—explicitly and in writing—that my vacuum could not be repaired and that replacement was the only option. This position was reiterated multiple times over weeks and then months. Acting reasonably on Dreame’s own guidance, I eventually disposed of the unit via recycling.
Only months later, Dreame abruptly reversed its position and claimed the device could be repaired—after they already knew it had been recycled based on their earlier instructions. That reversal alone demonstrates either:
poor internal knowledge management, or
deliberate misrepresentation in earlier communications.
Either explanation is unacceptable.
Endless Delays and Incoherent Case Handling
This issue dragged on for months with repeated promises of escalation, review, and resolution—none of which resulted in a consistent or credible outcome. Different agents provided contradictory answers, suggesting there is no unified case ownership or internal documentation standard.
At no point did Dreame demonstrate control over the case timeline or accuracy over basic facts.
Insulting and Disingenuous “Offers”
Dreame’s proposed resolutions were equally incompetent:
A replacement unit was offered at a higher price than local Swiss retail, making it objectively worse than simply buying a new product myself.
This was followed by emails asking me to select a replacement model—only for that option to be withdrawn later.
After months of delays caused entirely by Dreame, the company capped its response with a CHF 200 “maximum adjustment,” which was then repeated verbatim in a follow‑up email, as though repetition equaled resolution.
This was not customer service—it was procedural stalling disguised as goodwill.
No Accountability, No Transparency
At no point did Dreame acknowledge responsibility for:
providing incorrect information,
causing the device to be disposed of,
or wasting months of the customer’s time.
Instead, the strategy appeared to be delay, deflect, and minimize, hoping the customer would disengage.
Final Assessment
Dreame’s customer service shows:
❌ No consistency of information
❌ No ownership of cases
❌ No respect for the customer’s time
❌ No meaningful accountability
This could have been resolved easily and professionally had Dreame offered a repair option from the beginning or honored its own written guidance. Instead, the experience permanently destroyed any trust in the brand.
I will never purchase another Dreame product, nor recommend one to anyone.
When something goes wrong—and eventually it will—Dreame has shown exactly how it treats its customers.
