Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 1,622 reviews, most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many customers appreciate the quality and performance of their appliances, often finding them reliable, well-designed, and efficient with features like quiet operation or quick heating. Reviewers frequently praise the ordering process and the delivery service for its speed and professionalism, with items often arriving on time and in good condition. However, many people express significant dissatisfaction with customer service, citing poor communication, unhelpful agents, and difficulties resolving issues like unhonored points or warranty claims. Some customers also experienced product failures, such as faulty oven doors, noisy dryers, or appliances breaking down prematurely. Repair attempts sometimes required multiple visits, were unsuccessful, or involved unprofessional service personnel, with some deliveries also being slow, problematic, or resulting in damaged items.

Telephone support was very helpful

Telephone support was very helpful. Electrolux only lost a star because, as expected, my very old and very reliable larder fridge could not be repaired (due to spares no longer being available after 26 years). I would have bought a similar replacement BUT Electrolux no longer make a model approx 140cms high to fit in the space being vacated by the old fridge! Sadly I had to buy a replacement elsewhere (which is not of the same quality 😪).

Disappointing

The call out service has been great but the AEG products are very disappointing. We have two full ovens, 2 half ovens, a fridge freezer, a washing machine and a tumble dryer all purchased in 2023. Two ovens have had faults and therefore call outs, and again for a second time with one of the ovens, then the fridge freezer gas cylinder went and not fixable. Totally unreliable products, faults with design, quality of certain functions are poor, and the grill on the combi oven is almost useless. I will never buy AEG again, and as and when the products fail - likely to be sooner than later - we will replace with another brand, as we have done with the fridge freezer. Zero confidence in the brand now and would not recommend.

AEG TECHNICAL HELP.

Customer service /technical help were helpful with my enquiry. Which was the strips of thin insulation that were in the tall free standing freezer unit installation kit. They were shown spaced out fitted to one side only. What wasn’t explained was that they only needed to be fitted in a tight enclosure, the gaps being there to allow airflow for cooling. As we designed our kitchen to have a good gap it wasn’t necessary to fit them.

Bad brand with terrible customer service

Very disappointed with AEG customer service.
My AEG ceramic hob developed a crack after around one year of normal household use. There was no impact or accidental damage.
I contacted AEG expecting them to investigate whether the crack could be due to a manufacturing defect. Instead, they relied on the warranty exclusion for glass and refused my claim.
After asking for an explanation, AEG confirmed that no inspection of my appliance had taken place, yet they maintained that the repair would not be covered because cracked hob glass is most commonly caused by accidental damage.
I am disappointed that my case was rejected without an inspection, especially for an appliance that is only around a year old. I expected better customer service and a greater willingness to investigate the cause before reaching a conclusion.
Based on my experience, I would think carefully before purchasing another AEG appliance.

Terrible cheap made poor quality product

I brought an integrated fridge freezer. It is terrible quality. Always has frozen water in the back wall, plastic draws in the freezer are such thin flimsy plastic, I knew they wouldn’t last, lasted two months before the first one cracked. Not covered under warranty, £52 to replace it two months in! I live alone and work so it hardly gets used would be no good for a family with heavy handed children. The replacement turned up with three cracks, they are just such poor quality, you can only put a couple of things in the draws and you have to be really careful pulling the term out. The thing is not fit for purpose. Had my last fridge freezer 10 years no issue but it was a Samsung. I would not by LEG again very cheap made rubbish.

I had a problem with my freezer

I had a problem with my freezer. An engineer from AEG came out and re-gassed it without needing any parts. I paid £174 for the call out and parts to repair the freezer but was told I was eligible for a refund of the £174 minus the £80 call out fee. However, I have been refused the promised refund. Warning to the public: Do not go near AEG, they are cheats out to get your money.
