New FTTP line 100% reliable so far
Recently had a new FTTP line installed, installation went well and the service has been 100% reliable so far. Getting the full advertised speed, not had any throttling, latency is also excellent. I'm able to use an OpenWRT based router without any issues.

I've used Andrews and Arnold for many years now but last week I had FTTP fitted and it's performance has been great. A small initial issue was worked through with the minimum of fuss by knowledgeable human being on the end of a device called a PHONE. This involved an process called "speaking to someone" (now "lost tech" to many businesses) which was achieved with a minimum of fuss. Couldn't be happier.
Excellent firm to deal with.
It's been a couple of weeks now since Andrews and Arnold contacted me to say my VOIP landline number is fully ported from where it was before (Idnet).
I'm using a couple of old type analogue phones to use on the new A&A VOIP phone service and, with a little help from a helpful manager called Shaun, and a great fella in Technical called Alfie we were up and running and I had my old number fully working.... but with A&A not Idnet as it had been. All for a measly £12 fee to port the number over to them and £1.44 a month to provide the service.
The procedure was incredibly efficient and the staff are helpful and knowledgable.
I did remain with Idnet for my FTTP fibre having been with them for very many years and had good service but would very happily move it to A&A at the drop of a hat.
Highly recommended.
Seemless switch over!
Seemless switch over!
Smooth transfer across from Sky to A&A - clear information from the sales team throughout :)
Top quality, no fuss service
I have been with Andrews & Arnold for many years ever since my previous ISP started to annoy me by introducing traffic shaping and similar shenanigans.
AAISP offer you a straightforward deal and they honour it. I like their plain language. It means we all know where we stand. I find them very easy to deal with.
They monitor the performance of your line as a matter of course and, presumably, rectify faults before you know about most of them. On the very rare occasions that I have noticed an issue, their support team was knowledgeable and addressed the problem swiftly.
The prompt for this review was the upgrade of my line from FTTC to FTTP along with a switch from BT landline to an AAISP VOIP phone. It was very easy to request this on their website and it was always clear what I was agreeing to. I was particularly pleased to be able to keep my existing landline phone number. An appointment with an Openreach engineer duly ensued, my upgrade occurred on the time and date agreed with no issues and the new services Just Work, only faster.
Consistently competent internet services
I've been with A&A for years now. I use their home broadband and telephony. It's a fair, honest and reliable service from a bunch of very technically able people. They deliver on what they promise every time. If faults happen, they let you know, they tell you the diagnosis and the fault is fixed as fast.
Whenever I've dealt with them it's been great. You ring them up and you get to speak to a real person right away. For the things I know about, they treat me like an intelligent person. For the things I don't know about, they'll happily explain.
Their equipment and network are great. Their control panel exposes much more monitoring information about my connection and configuration options than other providers. I can set up my services as I choose - I have IPv6, reverse DNS, advanced VoIP features, and more, all as part of the standard service.
Internet done right. Highly recommended.
Class outfit..despite the GUI. Just happy to be free from Vermin Media.
Great service. Open, honest, straightforward.

FTTP Install
Been with A&A over 2 years and moved from gfast to fttp, the day of install went flawlessly, install was done by circet. I had to contact support to sort a billing issue of my own making which was sorted quickly.

Excellent Service
Last year, I moved into a property which (unbeknownst to me) had a collapsed underground fibre duct. After the first two ISPs I signed up with couldn't make any progress on getting me connected, someone recommended A&A to me. They were able to navigate the complexities of getting this resolved with Openreach and kept me updated along the way.
Since installation, I've found the service to be reliable. Overall, I've been very happy with them so far and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic
Fantastic. AA feel like an old fashioned company in their level of service, but with technology that outperforms the largest, most famous ISP by leagues. I have confidence that they would solve any problems I have quickly, and that I would be straight through to a competent engineer without having to persuade a queue of staff that I've turned it off and on again. But I'm yet to have a problem, so I'll have to wait and see.
Long time customer, still the same great service
I've been an A&A customer for more than 18 years now, and have stayed with them through 4 different house moves and most recently (Jan 2025) I've switched to FTTP.
In all of that time I have very, very rarely had any problems, but on those rare occasions it has always been very easy to get through to someone who understands the problem and is able to help get it resolved.

Great service, sad to be leaving, for now
I've used A&A as my home ISP for several years, and I can say that their level of service is incomparable.
I think they're well-suited to 'technically-minded' customers, as they readily expose quite a lot of realtime technical detail about the connection, which has helped me to understand in detail how well my internet connection is faring.
On the couple of occasions that I've needed to contact their support (both times due to a problem with underlying BT/TalkTalk wholesale infrastructure), I have got through immediately to a technical person, who was happy to give me direct and straightforward information about what was going on, and have sorted out the issues without any delay on their side. No rote, obfuscating customer service scripts here!
Probably the main shortcoming, from my perspective, is that in my area A&A can only offer services sold on top of other companies' ageing ADSL infrastructure. And while A&A do as good a job as could be possible in delivering these services, there are aspects that they simply cannot have direct control over.
It's on that basis, then, that I'm sad to be leaving A&A (and moving to a FTTP provider who have just connected up the block of flats that I live in). If I could stay with A&A and still move to fibre, I would do so without hesitation. But, today, that option is not available to me, and I simply cannot stay on ADSL any longer! Maybe in the future, A&A may have access to some fibre infrastructure that serves my block of flats, and I would be happy to use their services again. Until then, I'll look back fondly on the great service they have provided.
A great choice
I've been waiting for this ISP to introduce an unmetered package, and now that they have, it’s exactly what I was hoping for. I appreciate how easy it is to add VoIP lines to the account, and their control panel offers a level of control that other ISPs simply don’t provide. It allows for fine-tuned management of both VoIP and internet settings, including the ability to run GEA service tests and monitor traffic rates and latency in real time.
I also like the flexibility of being able to add routed /60 or /64 IPv6 subnets from the allocated /48. Their no-nonsense approach is refreshing, and their technical support pages are clear and well-documented, making it easy to find the information you need. Overall, a great choice for those who value transparency and control over their connection.

Great!
I've been with A&A a year or so (I switched from Virgin as I was seeing "your connection is unstable" on Zoom/Teams calls despite having their fastest connection speed). At the time I could only get 70mbps or so, but while large downloads were slower than on Virgin my Zoom/Teams calls were rock solid. OpenReach FTTP is now available in my street so have upgraded to that. So now I get the best of both worlds. Sure it's pricier than Virgin or BT/EE but I'm happy to pay as I work from home and need a fast, stable and reliable connection.
Does what it says on the tin
Everything went as promised. Engineer showed up on time and completed the work quickly and cleanly. Since the the quality and performance has been flawless
Technical excellence
Simple setup, done quickly, and it just worked with zero issues. No issues since connection at all.
Excellent technical documentation, and native ipv6 support out of the box.

If you want reliable internet where the network isn't over congested then this is the ISP for you.
AAISP - a good choice
I chose AAISP because of their excellent rating on ISPreview. I'm a new customer, and have been impressed by their helpful and efficient service so far.
I abandoned a major ISP for Andrews and Arnold
I abandoned a major ISP for Andrews and Arnold (upon recommendation) and was initially rather nervous - firstly because of my advanced years and secondly because of my lack of tech skills AND my advanced years. I am glad to report that my fears were unfounded - A&A are always at the end of a telephone for kindly help and emails are answered promptly. In terms of broadband performance, A&A is every bit the match of the "Big Boys" if not better. I have a couple of very minor niggles but those in no way detract from an impressive overall performance.
A truly fantastic ISP who I should have switched to years ago
A truly fantastic, knowledgeable ISP who show all others in the space how it should be done.
Incredibly professional, deeply knowledgeable people who provide a service which is technically beyond the scope of any other ISP I'm aware of in the UK. If you want reliable internet provided by people who understand every inch of the connection to your door these are the guys to go with. They treat you like an adult.
No slowdowns, you won't share with the person next door, the ISP won't log your traffic, and you can monitor every inch of your line. If my line drops out for 30 seconds I get a text explaining the event on their side.
I wish businesses like this existed in every space. If you're a technically minded person (or if you're not, but want the support of people who are) I cannot recommend them enough and they deserve your support and the (very slightly) higher prices they command.
