This was my first visit to Vets for Pets Hall Road. I choose them due to good feedback from friends and extremely helpful conversations prior to joining with the reception team (particularly Hannah)... See more

The whole team at Hendon was great
The whole team at Hendon was great. They are organised and pleasant. My cat Rio is normally a nervous one but with them not even a growl let alone a scratch!! Thank you Dr Daniel and Mark who was at reception that day
I have always praised this practice not…
I have always praised this practice not now.
I am disgusted there receptions hang up phone and if ur not sure very sarcastic. I tried to get to see owner to complain he's even worse so ignorant I am so annoyed
I am lady pensioner disabled I tried to tell them i cannot go as fast as them just hang up they have no equality or diversity at all.
Of course I changed vets immediately and all people I had reffered to them all left as well

CLOSED BRANCH - NO VET - NO PLAN!!
⭐ 1/5
A splendid 100-mile tour of Aberdeenshire. Unfortunately, I wanted a vet.
I would like to thank Vets for Pets for arranging a delightful Saturday afternoon excursion for myself and Snowy Joey, my Bichon Frise.
Several weeks ago, I booked Snowy Joey an appointment for his vaccinations at Vets for Pets, Bridge of Don.
Being rather old-fashioned, I interpreted the words “veterinary appointment” as suggesting three things would eventually converge at roughly the same geographical location:
1. My dog.
2. A veterinary practice.
3. A veterinarian.
I successfully supplied Item 1.
Vets for Pets struggled with Items 2 and 3.
After driving approximately 50 miles to Aberdeen, Snowy Joey and I arrived to discover that THE PRACTICE WAS CLOSED.
No vet.
No vaccination.
No telephone call.
No warning.
Just me, a Bichon Frise, and the growing realisation that we had travelled 50 miles to admire the exterior architecture of a closed Vets for Pets.
I telephoned.
To their credit, the staff openly admitted that THEY had made the booking error.
Apparently there was one vet working elsewhere who was dealing with an end-of-life case. Quite rightly, that vet needed to remain with that animal and its family.
But that isn’t why I was standing outside a closed veterinary practice holding an unvaccinated Bichon Frise.
I was standing there because Vets for Pets had BOOKED ME AN APPOINTMENT THERE.
So we turned around.
Another 50 miles.
Snowy Joey has now enjoyed approximately 100 miles of premium Scottish motoring.
His vaccination status remains remarkably unchanged.
I then discovered that this administrative triumph had a sequel.
Apparently Snowy Joey’s health plan has been CANCELLED.
This was surprising.
Mainly because WE HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR IT EVERY MONTH.
Perhaps I misunderstood the business model.
I had assumed:
PAY MONEY → HAVE PET PLAN → VACCINATE DOG.
Apparently the process is closer to:
PAY MONEY → DRIVE 50 MILES → FIND CLOSED BUILDING → PHONE VETS → DISCOVER PLAN DOESN’T EXIST → DRIVE 50 MILES HOME → STILL HAVE UNVACCINATED DOG.
I await clarification regarding precisely what our monthly payments have actually been purchasing.
Perhaps Snowy Joey has unknowingly been sponsoring another Bichon Frise.
Perhaps we’ve subscribed to the building.
Perhaps the payments funded today’s sightseeing excursion.
I’m sure somebody will eventually explain.
What makes this particularly impressive is that this is the SECOND time Vets for Pets has seriously messed us about in less than 12 months.
Once is unfortunate.
Twice suggests considerable dedication.
There won’t be a third.
Snowy Joey will now be registered elsewhere, and our future veterinary spending will be going with him.
For anyone considering Vets for Pets, I can therefore confirm the following:
The booking system works.
The payment system DEFINITELY works.
The part where a vet actually meets the dog appears to be more aspirational.
Snowy Joey is now safely back home.
Approximately 100 miles added to the car.
Fuel consumed.
Saturday afternoon gone.
Monthly payments apparently disappearing into the administrative ether.
Vaccinations received: 0.
⭐ One star.
Would have been two, but apparently the other one was cancelled while I was still paying for it.
Ear Infection
I took my Labrador to Dorchester because her ears seemed to be bothering her and was seen by vet, Juliette Gallon. I had been to another practice but was told that she needed an antihistamine by a nurse. Juliette was lovely and very professional. She examined my dog properly and took a sample from her ears to evaluate under a microscope. The dog had an ear infection which was making her ears very sore. Her ears were cleaned and she was prescribed ear drops. I now have a much happier dog . I can't recommend the care she received at this practice highly enough.
Such kindness
Sadly, had to say goodbye to our beautiful dog of 16 years, the staff were so kind, thoughtful and respectful to our dog & us. Allowed us as much time with her as we needed to say goodbye. Such kindness at a horrible time. Thank you
Not great first and last experience...
We went to Vets for Pets for the first time today following a friend's recommendation. We needed to remove a lump from our cat, but the young vet who attended us said they weren’t capable for such procedure, and instead referred us to a professional clinic. Both 2 vets we saw were really young. We ended up paying £60 for literally nothing getting done, apart from us wasting an hour of our time to get there, explain the history and provide all results from previous tests done on our cat from a different Vet. It may be cheaper than other vets, but the level of confidence they gave us is not worthy and I would take my pet somewhere else with more experienced vets. I wouldn't recommend them, based on our own experience.
BE AWARE OF “Vets4Pets” PRACTICES
They asked me would I like to earn £10 by recommending the, my answer to them was as follows:
will absolutely not be recommending “Vets for Pets” due to the following reasons:
You charged me £20 for 3mg Metacam, when I asked for a prescription to allow me to buy online you told me the prescription would cost me £20, when I questioned your vet on the cost of the prescription she just said “I don’t make the rules”, she is a very attentive knowledgeable vet and I can praise her for how she examined my pet and do not in the least blame her for “Vets for Pets” practices.
You and I both know the Government capped your prescription charges to £21, I think you have exploited this cap to the full.
I feel you especially exploit the fact that “we” as our pet’s guardians are feeling very vulnerable when we bring our pets in for attention.
I feel the fact that you gave my cat a Metacam jab would have given me time to obtain an online prescription at a greatly reduced cost.
Considering I pay a monthly subscription for your services along with “pet insurance” you really ought to have treated me and advised me better.
Finally, you really should take my comments on board since social media and other platforms give us all a chance to share our experiences.
I feel “Vets for Pets” started a new and better era in pet care but have lost their way over the years.
I will be sharing my comments, feel free to contact me for other feedback.
I can’t be bought for £10
Have a good day

Amazing staff. Amazing Vets.
Amazing staff. Amazing experience. Our 9 year old king cab had to have a serious operation and they kept us updated with his progress and he has never been happier. Thank you 🙏🏽 so much for making my baby happy. Highly recommend xx
I use Gravesend Branch- I would…
I use Gravesend Branch- I would strongly advise anyone using this vet to double check any information you are given, especially if you need a prescription or are relying on them for important treatment. I would also recommend writing everything down, including who you spoke to and what you were told.
Unfortunately, I have had two very disappointing experiences with this vet so far.
The first happened when I was due to travel with my dog for a few days. I called the practice beforehand to double-check some information and specifically asked whether a particular treatment could be carried out here in the UK. The receptionist told me that she had double checked with the Assistant Manager and confirmed that it could be done. Based on this information, I was booked in for an appointment.
However, when I arrived on the booked date, the vet told me that she could not carry out the treatment because she was not qualified to do it. I was shocked and asked who could perform it and whether anyone else was available, but there was no one there who could help. My travel had been booked around this appointment, as I had relied on the information I was given, and it completely disrupted my plans.
I was extremely frustrated. I was told that someone would contact me, but nobody ever did. I also tried calling the reception afterwards and could not get through.
My second experience involved requesting a prescription. I even took the medication with me, yet the name of the medication was written incorrectly twice. This is especially concerning when it comes to prescriptions, where accuracy is so important.
And that is without even mentioning the number of times I have had to wait because appointments were delayed. On one occasion, I waited for an hour.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the level of communication, organisation and care I have experienced. After two bad experiences, I have completely lost confidence in this practice. Absolutely unacceptable.

Had an emergency with my Pet
Had an emergency with my Pet , my current Vets let me down , I called Vets for pets , they were exceptional in helping me , did a stellar job , 10/10 from me .
Great staff kind service
Llandudno surgery. Have always looked after our Boxer dogs, not the easiest of patients, the staff and vets know their stuff and understand the Boxer and of course all the other animals. One has had major surgery there and when we lost an older one the dignity and care they showed was moving. All good no negatives and the staff there are all one well joined team.
Outstanding hospital providing affordable vet treatment from compassionate vets
Feline Friends London is very grateful to this vet hospital, which is not only by far the best but the only affordable vet hospital in the London area, allowing pet owners to have their animals treated and their lives saved. instead of tragically opting for euthanasia due to inability to pay the high fees demanded of most 24 hour hospitals.
We have used this practice for some years now and find the vets and service provided exceptional. Alberto, the Head Vet is highly skilled, with a knowledge that comes from experience and not just from a textbook, and is one of the most compassionate vets we use as a charity. I recommend this hospital to everyone and, although this isn't the out of hours for the Central London vet practice I use, all my own cats are registered here, including my young special needs cat, Raffy, who has been an inpatient here when he was seriously ill.
A case that always stays in my mind is that of Grey Teddy, a then 9 week failing kitten with pneumonia, weighing only 500g, who would have died, were it not for this practice and Alberto's care, who put Grey Teddy on oxygen on admission and saved his life. Grey Teddy and his brother, Taz, weighing 700g at 11/12 weeks, were both able to be rehomed as thriving, healthy kittens and are now much-loved, 2 year old cats.
Can't recommend this hospital and its staff, enough, without whom we could not have taken in and had vet-treated the number of cats we have, many of their lives saved by this hospital.
Always trying to up-sell
Vets4Pets were our vets for 5 years whilst we lived in the area and it is only now that we have moved away and that they are no longer our vets that we feel comfortable sharing our more recent experiences. Whilst the prices for their procedures always seemed to be higher than national average, we used the services as they were conveniently close and always we did get the sense that the vets on the shop floor did care for them. However we sensed that management/ the parent company had a different agenda.
Something we noticed more and more over the years was that we were constantly being tried to pay for up-sells, for procedures that did not seem necessary. Phrasing like “this is highly recommended” were used often, and when I asked multiple vet friends not in the area, I was told that this is by no means necessary and simply taking advantage of pet owners who will pay a lot of money if they think their pet is at risk. You have probably seen in the news that Vets all over the country are being accused of not being transparent with pricing and that entry-level vets are being pressured into upselling. I very much got the sense that was happening a lot at this practice. In fact often the younger vets came across as embarrassed in even suggesting some of what they were recommending. My opinion is that they have likely been set internal targets for upsell, which I view as unethical, given they know many pet owners will pay a lot of money for the wellbeing of their pets. We certainly did.
Whilst there was no single experience with the practice that was horrendous, this constant upsell sat very uncomfortably with me by the end. My advice is to watch out for it and to question what you are being told, ideally by someone away from the practice who does not have a financial stake in how you choose to proceed with your pet’s care. If you sense that money is their driver and not animal welfare then consider somewhere else. If we had not been relocating, we would have switched vets.
To be clear, everyone at the practice is lovely, and we thank them for helping our pets over the years, but something that is not okay is going on behind the scenes that cannot be inline with their mission statements: “We put Pets First”.
Misadvise to customer
Unfortunately my 1st time experience with Vets4pets Bagshot branch is let down by it's front desk/receptionists/customer service.
I've got a puppy who is 11wks, already had 1st vaccination with breeder, hence I arranged 2nd vaccination with Vets4pets Bagshot. Despite my calls to this branch and spook to its receptionists, unfortunately they missed a very important piece of information that is if 2nd vaccination late just for one day, this can invalid pet insurance. Both Receptionists & Vets only advised me that I need to sign a declaration, but failed to advise me Pet insurance can be invalided regardless declaration. If they say this in advance, I could re-arrange the date to ensure 2nd vaccination is on the date that is required.
This directly resulted I had to re-starts puppy vaccination, and impact of this is not just puppy suffers another jab, also delayed puppy goes outdoor due to not finishing initial vaccination. Also I had no choice but sign on a Pet care contract as if not, I will be charged initial vet consultation fee and 1st vaccination.
I think this branch problem is staffs especially reception say "Yes" too quickly to eager, feel like they have a sales target, so they have to make sales regardless and careless to give information/advice.
The vet is very nice, gentle to the puppy and I can see puppy relax very quickly with the Vet which is a good thing.
Also this brand out hour service is outsourced to another vet in nearby town who has very bad reviews which makes me anxious for my pup.
I will keep observing this branch service, hopefully no more errors from them, if it happens again, I will no doubt to change.
Bad Communication - Dog Died
Bad Communication - Dog Died
This review is about Vets4Pets Woking. I have been with them for 10 years and have always been happy with the care my dogs received. However, since Steve Brawley, head vet and business owner, retired from practising to run the business, it has gone downhill. There was a time I would give it 5* but no longer.
This year 2 of my dogs had very unsatisfactory annual health checks with basic problems missed. But my biggest complaint is the treatment of my eldest retriever Mollie. I took her in immediately when she excreted profuse amounts of watery blood. The vet said I should either take her for overnight care but didn’t say why or take her home and try to keep her hydrated and bring her back in the morning. I was given no indication that she had a potentially life threatening illness. I thought she had a minor stomach issue and I needed to keep her hydrated due to the amount of fluid she was losing, so I opted to take her home. I was given a few products to replace the fluid she was losing. No other meds which reinforced that it was nothing serious. After a sleepless night with my dog and with her having four excretions, I prepared to take her back to the vets. She had become so weak that I needed help to get her in the car and then she collapsed at the entrance to PetsAtHome.
She had to be stretchered into the consulting room by nurses who told me she was extremely dehydrated and had gone into shock. Worryingly, the notes simply said she was struggling to walk! I left her there for the day for intravenous fluids but by the afternoon I was told that she was not responding and her organs were shutting down and her veins collapsing. I had to agree for her to be euthanised. On looking up her symptoms it appeared that she had AHDS for which the treatment is immediate intravenous fluids. There was no sense of urgency from the vet and no suggestion whatsoever that she had a serious illness. Had I been made aware of the seriousness of her condition, I would never have taken her home but taken her straight to the overnight hospital. Even her euthanasia wasn’t without issue and was very distressing. We left having been told the invoice would be sent on to me.
Three months passed with no invoice so I assumed they had waived the fees in view of the issues I had with Mollie’s care. In the meantime, I had taken my other retriever, Susie, for her annual health check. This took precisely 5 minutes and the only thing the vet checked was her heart and lungs. I filled in a review after this unsatisfactory appointment and received a response from the practice owner Steve Brawley in which he stated that he saw nothing wrong with her health check and that vets only checked what was pointed out to them by the owner! That was the last straw so I moved my remaining 2 dogs to another vet. At the ‘meet & greet’ they found that Susie had ear infections, completely missed by Vets4Pets as her ears hadn’t been checked.
On 1st July a week after I had changed vets, I received the invoice for Mollie’s care, some 3 months after her last appointment. Coincidence? His justification for the delay in sending the invoice was out of consideration for me! Three weeks, maybe, but three months!
There followed an exchange of emails between me and Steve Brawley, practice owner, in which he 100% supported the vet I saw with Mollie. He claimed I had decided against taking Mollie to the overnight vet due to costs and also claimed I’d been told that there was provision for Mollie to be seen at any time overnight both untrue. Had I been told the latter, I would have realised that this was serious and would have taken her for overnight care. I had previously had a good relationship with Steve and he knew that I never put costs before my dogs’ health.
As well as losing Mollie, due to not being told the facts and being able to make an informed decision, I was accused of not being honest about what was said and he claimed I was told things that I know I wasn’t. It was quite clear he was supporting his vets irrespective of the truth. At the end of the day, I lost Mollie because the vet didn’t convey the seriousness of Mollie’s condition to me nor give me correct advice.
What really upset and annoyed me was that he was questioning my honesty and saying I put the costs of treatment before my dogs, which he knew to be untrue. The inference being that I was responsible for Mollie’s death!
Incidentally it is not locally owned as stated on the website, as Steve Brawley, the practice owner, lives on the south coast and has done for years!
27/8/26
The owner has replied to a review I put on Google in which he says again that my dog's death was due to me as I refused treatment due to cost! Completely untrue. There were no witnesses to my conversations with the vet so it is my word against the owner.
Service provision
The vets are fine with some much better than others but what is shocking now is the price of their medication. Tablets elsewhere were £500 cheaper and the latest medication just for some eye drops and corneal repair was £70+ more than elsewhere. Getting a prescription from Vets4Pets in future which is much cheaper and then order from other pharmacies which sell exactly the same items much, much cheaper. It feels like we are becoming more and more ripped off with the pricing of their medication.
Burak at Vets for Pets woolwell
Burak at Vets for Pets woolwell . Absolutely amazing with our rescue cat Purdy. Couldn't believe how relaxed she was with him and allowed him to cut her nails and aswell as her vaccines His approach was brilliant. Thank you. Can't recommend him enough .
Ridiculous request when trying to see a vet urgently
Dog has a limp, so call Vets 4 Pets to see if | can get him in to see someone urgently. Not registered there and not registered anywhere with him at another vets. They asked if I have used a vets before in Bridgwater where I live, and I told them that we used to use another vet for our cats, which have all passed on now, and we've not used any vet for quite some time.
I am then told I have to take my dog to vets we used for our cats. I asked why? They said it's because I have used them before. I told them this dog is not registered at any vets. They insisted I need to take him there, and they won't see him.
Seriously, what the heck is all this about? Total disgrace. Now my dog has to limp around for 2 more days until I can find another vet after the bank holiday, when initially the receptionist said they might be able to see him the day I called before making this nonsensicle request that I take him back to a vet I have not used in ages, and the dog has never been to.
5/5 Stars
5/5 Stars – Absolutely Outstanding Care!
I cannot recommend Vets4Pets Leigh-on-Sea highly enough. Natalie, Tom, and the entire reception team are always so wonderful, welcoming, and helpful, but Liliana the vet is truly in a league of her own. She is absolutely outstanding.
Liliana takes such brilliant care of my three rescue dogs. Because of their backgrounds, my dogs were initially incredibly scared of vet visits. Now? They actually enjoy going—which is practically unheard of! One of my girls LOVES going to see Liliana so much that she will literally drag me into the reception area and wait patiently outside Liliana’s consultation door. I have never known a dog to be so happy to visit the vet, and the main reason for that transformation is Liliana. She has such a naturally warm, calm, and compassionate approach, and her genuine love for animals shines through in everything she does. She is endlessly kind and patient with them. Having a vet who truly understands rescue dogs and takes the time to build real trust is priceless.
On top of her amazing bedside manner, her clinical skill and dedication are second to none. My dogs have had a complex mix of health conditions, and Liliana, Natalie, and Tom have always been remarkably thorough and supportive. Liliana in particular was incredible at unpicking a really complicated combination of issues affecting one of my dogs. We’ve practically been living at the surgery, and through every single appointment, Liliana has been an absolute rock. Her consistency, patience, and unwavering support during a very stressful time have meant the world to us. She is so friendly and approachable that she instantly puts you at ease, and she always takes the time to give detailed, carefully considered answers to every single question.
If you are looking for a veterinary team that combines top-tier expertise with genuine heart, look no further. Liliana, Natalie, Tom and the team are absolute gems!
