Just purchased my pergola & accessories and looking forward to my delivery and installation date. The fabulous Wado has been with me every step of the way and had so much patience. Every decision has gone at my pace, I've never felt rushed or pushed to make a decision. Wado has shown me design idea and been at the end of the phone for every question I've had and every measurement I needed. Great company beautiful items, unfortunately one of my items even though it was beautifully packaged arrived damaged. After service abissmal not interested in issues - rip off merchants

I had an absolutely horrendous experience with The White Stores.

I had previously seen a bad review related to customer service but thought it’s just a one off. Unfortunately for me it was not.
I bought a Pergola, accessories and garden furniture, service was good during this process as was booking delivery.
When I received the delivery I was told a further delivery would take place for one item (this came ok) - not a problem. There is no manifest stating exactly what you should receive.
A few days later going through the assembly instructions it was clear I was missing some parts. I went through all the boxes and identified that of 19, 2 were missing.
It took a month to get to a point where these missing parts were eventually acknowledged and sent.
What doesn’t help is the AI assistance that is employed in their customer service email - either it doesn’t read it and understand it or the customer service agents that use it don’t understand the context of what’s being explained.
Consequently you spend days and days going around and around in circles being told to check boxes send codes over again and being told it’s been delivered when you know it hasn’t. I had to explain that we could look at my cctv and count each individual box off the delivery to prove I am not lying.
I had people helping me construct this that I had to cancel because parts were not sent.
It felt I was being treated as stupid or a liar.

My advice is do not even bother using the customer service contacts - drop in or speak directly with the local store you purchased from - sadly I found that out too late.

The only reason I have this a 2 rating instead of 1 is that the products were good, easy to assemble and well made.

This was our second visit, and as before, Derek was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

We had a concern regarding a Christmas tree, which was not White Stores fault. I sent an email on a Saturday afternoon and was amazed to get a really helpful response which solved everything on Saturday evening. I’m super impressed with this company!
