Lost my order, ignored my emails and then sent me a replacement that needs to be returned in store - refuses adjustments for the fact that I am disabled and housebound
I placed an order with Boots online that never arrived. After waiting, I used their help form to get in touch, but 10 days passed with no response. I found a customer service email, forwarded my original message with all my details, and they asked for them again. I sent them again.
Another advisor then contacted me and, again, asked for my details. I sent them, said I wanted a refund and an investigation, and made it clear I’d already replaced all the products, so please don’t send another batch.
The next email said they’d sent a replacement anyway. I replied immediately, saying that’s what I’d asked them not to do. Within minutes they said it couldn’t be canceled and that I’d need to return it in store for a refund. No apology.
I explained that I’m disabled and currently flaring, so I can’t leave the house. The reply was just: “The items need to be returned before we can process a refund.” No acknowledgment or apology, just a default signature.
This order was meant to be a special treat during hard times but it’s left me out of pocket and stressed. I’m on a low income, have no one nearby to help return it, and Boots doesn’t seem to care that it was their mistake. I can't really believe how indifferent their staff are, I’m just really disappointed that people treat each other this way.
Just explained to them a second time and they just said this (what I've put in quotations was in white and the rest of the text pink - clearly it was just pasted into their template.)
Hello Dani,
Thanks for contacting us.
"I’m sorry a replacement was sent instead of a refund."
Unfortunately, we’re unable to cancel this. To process a refund, please return the unwanted items to your local store in their original packaging within 35 days of receiving them.
I understand this might be frustrating, and I’m really sorry I can’t process your request directly.
If there's anything else you need, just reply to this email and we'll be happy to help.
Kind regards,
**still haven't even answered me on if I can return not in store or arrange a courier to collect**
Love £10 Tuesdays
Love £10 Tuesdays, got some great bargains on vitamins. And tried more expensive products that I’d never normally get.

Received damaged makeup
I received a foundation and brow pencil without any seal, that have been tampered it. The foundation looks opened and tested (has stains) and the brow pencil tip is bent.

Packaging problems with deliveries
Ordered 4 of the star buy champneys wellness spa collection for Christmas presents. When delivered the delivery driver asked me to check the contents because the box wasn't sealed, the sets had been put in the box upside down and the contents had fallen out of one of the sets and the packaging around the set was ripped off. The delivery driver said they have a lot of problems with Boots deliveries because the boxes are never sealed.

For weeks I’ve had trouble getting things into my basket. If I get some of the things I’m my basket it then won’t let me into my basket. I normally buy a lot of Soap and Glory at this time of year. But they will be getting alternative presents now.
