It was a pretty straightforward process and I’m not very tech savvy. It would be nice if it were a little more clear what the difference is between credits and liner notes though. I made a mistake r... See more

⭐ 1 STAR

⭐ 1 STAR — Avoid DistroKid.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I’ve been trying for over a MONTH to get my account activated with the correct email address. I’ve dealt with multiple agents, sent over 100 messages and emails, and explained the same problem again and again. Yet nobody actually fixes anything.

Every time I think someone has finally taken ownership of the issue, I’m told to “keep an eye on my email.” Then I wait another week… and hear NOTHING. Even my official complaint has simply been ignored.

If DistroKid can’t solve such a basic account problem after a month of constant communication, I would seriously think twice before trusting them with your music, money, or time.

Google Play won’t refund you either.

One of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Stay away.

Third time reviewing"I have been ignored for almost two months."

Third time reviewing. It has been almost 2 months since my account and releases for Doox Records were blocked. I am a paying Pro subscriber, and DistroKid's support is a complete joke—pure bots promising human contact that never happens and ignoring tickets for weeks. Nobody resolves anything. Until when will I be locked out of uploading my music? Fix this manually now!

DistroKid logic:

DistroKid logic:
✅ Take your money
❌ Reject your release
❌ Ban you from all stores
❌ Ignore your refund request
❌ Send copy-paste template instead
I paid for distribution. I got a ban and zero support. UPC 700989894132. Where's my refund, @DistroKid?

Scam company

I've contacted support over 10 times in 3 years, and they simply close tickets without doing anything. They won't let me pay or take my money back. Scam company, don't deal with them.

Breach of Contract - Ticket #4558501

@DistroKid is in direct breach of their Ultimate plan contract. For over a month, my label's artists (R.B. Composure & R.B. Cinema Score) have been dumped into a phantom profile on @YouTubeMusic, completely paralyzing my release schedule. Support ignores Ticket #4558501 with automated bot replies, asking for links to channels their own system failed to create. If this catalog-wide mapping failure isn't resolved manually by an engineer, I am initiating a lawsuit for breach of contract. Think twice before using DistroKid for multi-artist label distribution — they will ruin your catalog.

When I create a case and need help

When I create a case and need help, they close the case without responding. I wait several days, weeks, then I texted in the case and that’s case close. I pay for a service that doesn't even work anymore, so I want my money back, but they don't even respond.

Great experience with DistroKid

I am very satisfied with DistroKid. The process was simple and my song was successfully distributed to the music platforms. This release is very important and deeply personal to me, so I truly appreciate the service and support. Thank you!
