I started playing with Base44 as a bit of fun, but very quickly saw the opportunties it presented for my business. Within a few months I have replaced thousands of dollars worth of software subscription services that, when I look back, all now appear to have been built in the Dark Ages.
Base44 has given me a freedom in my business that I never thought I would have. Never more will I have waste time looking for youtube videos on how to write an excel formula.
The success of my Base44 Apps did, I admit, make me look sideways at what others were doing. I tried them, but they failed meet the speed, precision and fun that Base44 provides.
I would recommend Base44 to anyone - businesses, hobbyists, enthusiasts. Within an hour you will have something useful. Within a day, it will be part of your life.

I run a live business built on Base44's platform. Over the past week, I have experienced multiple critical platform failures that have taken my business offline, and Base44's support team has not resolved them.
My app was rated #1 last week and my business is being seeked for many potential partnerships.

On July 16, 2026, I followed a recommendation from Base44's own AI assistant to run a backend function called preGenerateLessonAudio. The function was generated by Base44's AI builder and contained two critical architectural flaws that Base44's own Technical Solutions Specialist later confirmed: no pagination limit (it processed my entire database at once) and no incremental saving (if it timed out mid-run, progress was lost and re-running it regenerated the same content, consuming credits repeatedly). This function burned 16,384 integration credits in minutes. There was no cost preview, no warning, and no confirmation prompt before it executed. Base44's own documentation confirms there is no way to preview integration credit costs before running an action.

I contacted support. After investigation, Base44 acknowledged the flaws were in code their AI generated. Their response was to offer 5,700 one-time credits as a "goodwill gesture" — less than 35% of what was lost — and then close my ticket without my agreement that the issue was resolved. Following this, my credit balance was further reduced by approximately 10,000 additional credits, leaving me at 19,901 credits used against a 5,800 limit with zero remaining.

Separately, I attempted to downgrade my subscription from Pro to the $50/month Builder plan before my July 22 renewal date. The billing system returned the same error every time for over 48 hours: "We couldn't schedule your downgrade." Support said they applied a fix. The fix did not work. The issue remains unresolved.

As a result, my app went offline displaying "This app is temporarily unavailable" to all visitors. I have an upcoming partnership meeting with a youth nonprofit on July 29, 2026, and any partner who visits my site sees a non-functional platform.

I requested full credit restoration, a manual plan change, and app restoration. As of this review, none of these have been provided. I have documented all incidents, support interactions, and verified credit usage data in a formal incident report.

A platform whose AI generates flawed code, recommends running it, burns the customer's credits as a result, and then refuses to fully restore them — while simultaneously failing to process basic billing changes — is not a platform that businesses can rely on. I cannot recommend Base44 to any business owner who needs their platform to remain operational.

For me, this is the best AI app builder, easy to use and plenty of new features every month. Strongly recommend it!

2- why lost other stars because I am some how promoting base 44 for free via my app the fully branding intigration feature is missing , making great app but actully of no business use. frustrated no contact customer care. whats app agents opens to base44 contact very confusing and create distrust among my users, base44 doesnt mentioned it before.

I had a specific issue regarding my subscription. After a brief discussion, customer support granted me, on an exceptional basis, a partial refund for my subscription based on the details I provided.

I tested several vibe-coding apps before I landed on Base44. My go to is to use an external app for troubleshooting an building prompts, but to use Base44 for the heavy lifting. I've been really happy with the amount of work it can do, in addition to the product it "spits out".

Very happy with the customer support when I needed to cancel the subscription temporarily, after the payment was supposed to be deducted. The payment was cancelled, and no issues arose from this. I'l be returning to base44 at a later time, and can highly recommend the service.

To me Base44 is good. Fast and accurate. Everyone must know before you built anything you must plan for it very well and you start. Base44 is very easy to use.

I’ve been using base 44 for a little over eight months now and I was just feeling it out and so far built about 24 apps with them with about five active.
Unfortunately, in June, for some reason, the system managed to get a hold of all my credit cards that I’ve saved on my browser and end up charging $700 to my account so when my bank alerted me automatically assumed it was fraudulent so I raise a ticket with my bank they dispute it all the while pay 44 has been charging my other credit card monthly with no issues so far I’ve been spending a significant amount of money each month because it seem to be working and slowly getting the hang of the system even though most of the complaints that people have here are valid. I’ve been patient and tried to acclimatize to the platform
I woke up this morning only to find out that my account has been suspended just because my other bank has race a dispute because of the charge that they charge to my other credit card even though they have my preferred credit card on file which they’ve been billing they went ahead to suspend the account and refunded me the difference of what’s left for the month.
No heads up no notice no phone call. No email nothing just flat out suspended.
I reached out to them that whatever I stand balance is, they should just charge the credit card on file and reinstate my account because I’m losing business by the minute and all my 24 apps have been completely shut down.
Unfortunately, they haven’t responded as urgently as I want it because I guess to them I’m just another number.
I’m so frustrated right now. I’m looking for other alternatives so that this doesn’t happen again because I cannot for the life of me put my entire operations into the company’s hand who doesn’t seem to care for them. It’s just another way to make money.
If there is anybody here with a different and better experience with a different company, feel free to recommend

To be fair, the tool itself works well — building and running the app is genuinely fine.

But this platform is clearly built to extract as much money from you as possible, and if that's the model, your support needs to be excellent.

And it isn't.Their automations have zero safety rails. This has happened to us at least twice: a broken function kept retrying itself and burned through tens of thousands of integration credits in minutes — once over 20,000, another time over 50,000 — with no spend cap or rate limit to stop it.

Their idea of compensation for burns like that is honestly laughable: 20 message credits. We've spent over €4,000 total on credits and have to pay roughly €800 every time just to top back up.

Worse: a security incident let another user gain access to our system, and our website was deleted overnight. We had to fix it ourselves using our own external AI tooling. Base44 support offered nothing but, again, 20 credits — no real accountability, no real fix, no follow-up.

Support overall is slow, mostly copy-paste, and it's clear they don't take security or their customers seriously enough. I don't mind paying for a good product, but it has to actually be good.

We're still investigating the full scope of what was compromised in this incident, and we're pursuing this with the relevant data protection authority. If you're a business considering this platform for anything you actually rely on, look elsewhere until they can show they've fixed this.

The time it takes is soo long, i have been waiting for a couple minutes and not a single line of code has been written, dunno why.

I deleted a version of an app I'm testing. And by mistake, the payments and subscriptions were still active. So payments were still going through even if the app was not accessible. The Base44 team was extremely helpful, to understand the problem and troubleshoot recover my app, allowing me to go inside and then do the proper subscription cancellations. fully recommend base forty four for their technical abilities, ease of use and super friendly and helpful customer service.

Base44 was extremely slow, and when I left the page—even though I did not close the tab—it deleted everything I had worked on.

It had been recommended to me, so I expected it to be much better and more reliable. I am very disappointed with the experience.

I also kept running out of credits after what felt like every few changes. The credits disappeared far too quickly, and then I was expected to pay for significantly more just to continue building the app. It felt like I could barely make any progress before being stopped and asked to upgrade again.

Overall, it was a complete waste of my time. Losing all of my work after waiting so long for the platform to load was incredibly frustrating, and the restrictive credit system made the experience even worse. A platform like this should save your progress properly, work reliably and provide enough credits for users to actually test and build something before asking for more money. I would not recommend Base44 or use it again unless there were major improvements to its speed, stability, automatic saving and credit system.

The support team at base44 was excellent. I had some issues getting my app into google play and for 4 days they stuck with me. Finally, I was able to upload the app and now waiting for approval. Thank you again Jason and your team.

Not gonna lie, I'm not angry, just really disappointed.

I honestly think this is a big mistake by Base44. I used to think it was way better than every other AI builder, and as a solo SaaS founder I loved how fast new features were coming out.

But lately the AI just doesn't feel reliable anymore. I spend way too much time (and money) trying to fix things that used to take one prompt. It keeps saying "fixed" or "done," but half the time nothing actually changed. Simple things like SEO, page titles, or small edits somehow become a long back-and-forth.

It's sad because I genuinely liked Base44 and wanted to stick with it, but at this point I don't really see another option than moving on.

Do NOT waste your money!
I spent over $600 only to realize 4 days later I’d not only wasted my $ but also my time. I spent hours just trying to get it to give me a printable PDF. That’s just crazy. I run several very successful businesses. There is NO way this is a successful business. This is basically fraud. Don’t get scammed.

I think this great I was able to create a social networking site and I am planning on making a dating site and a chat room later on! That being said I love their service. Keep up the good work

I don't understand all these negative comments. The problem isn't the AI—the problem is the person who can't use it properly and then complains when something doesn't work out. I built a complete app, very detailed, and it runs great—everything works.
