After gastric bypass surgery my consultant recommended this brand to me as a replacement for the probiotics I was using.
When I started taking this I noticed a number of things. I would have this constant acidic feeling in my stomach that I interpreted as feeling hungry or thirsty, my toilet would absolutely stink I'd have to use Salaway 1 Drop to try and manage the smell. It was like I was doing cowpats in the toilet as in mountainous levels of stool. I'd sit on the sofa and after a few days it would smell like I'd gone to toilet on the sofa. Yes some of this can be attributed to post surgery changes.
After some research my wife and I came across something called SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacteria Overgrowth) which I'm convinced is what's happened to me. All the bacteria backing up in my small intestine and this stuff making it much worse and adding more and more. I had to start washing my butt with Hibiscrub daily to try managing it
Once I stopped taking Symprove suddenly the constant acidic feeling stops and I can actually tell if I'm feeling hungry or thirsty, my toilet stopped smelling absolutely awful, my stool also become more normal and the build up on the sofa also stopped. My stool started to take on a more normal consistency too. Again, some of this can be attributed to gastric bypass surgery but to live in fear about how bad the smell is/have to spray my sofa with industrial grade sprays from B&Q to deal with the smell it's not normal
On top of that I saw I can get a better deal on Symprove via the their site rather than say Holland&Barrett. So I started the 3 month trial. During that month we figured out it was the probiotics causing my issues to I went to cancel. But I can't cancel online, Symprove forces you to ring them but only weekdays. I'm thinking it'll be a long, tedious phone call but no it's a 30 second phone call. Absolutely time wasters for something that could easily be done online
Avoid this stuff.
