Fantastic

Fantastic. AA feel like an old fashioned company in their level of service, but with technology that outperforms the largest, most famous ISP by leagues. I have confidence that they would solve any problems I have quickly, and that I would be straight through to a competent engineer without having to persuade a queue of staff that I've turned it off and on again. But I'm yet to have a problem, so I'll have to wait and see.

Predatory subscription tactics

Predatory subscription tactics: On That Ass refuses to cancel your subscription until you've given at least a month of notice, meaning that you'll buy another pair of boxers even after giving notice before you've received the previous one.

The worst company I have ever encountered

I have honestly never dealt with a less organised company. For 6 months Solarplicity charged me double. Eventually I had to claim on the direct debit guarantee from my bank as instructed by their customer service rep who I had to hold the phone for for more than an hour. They then stopped charging me anything, and started sending me threatening letters demanding payment even though I pay by direct debit. I have now cancelled my account but am still receiving bills almost three months later.

Great magazine, OK cancellation process

In contrast to other people commenting here, I found it very easy to cancel my subscription when I wanted to. I phoned the service desk and had my account closed within 2 minutes. Losing a star for making me do this though: I should be able to cancel online.

Customer support helpful

I recently made a booking with eDreams for a flight to Iceland. Their website showed hand-luggage as included but after booking it the carrier told me that actually it wasn't.

I contacted eDreams and spoke to Amit who confirmed that it was a technical problem with their website and arranged for a refund to me to cover the cost of the bags that I now needed to book.

Overall, a little mistake but they handled it well.

Ok, but demand for extra money soured the experience

Overall I was pleased: Interrent offer an experience that is more professional than some other companies in the same price band.

However I was disappointed to be told on arrival that your new policy was to require the car interior to be vacuumed by the client and further, told that it would cost me £15 in fines later or £7 now to pay for valetting on return. These cheap extortion tactics leave a sour taste in the mouth, especially when they are not advertised at the point of booking.
