Rob Casey fantastic engineer
Rob Casey, our engineer, was first class.
He was fast, tidy, managed to solve a difficulty, was able to fit without removing a helpful rail.polite and had a sense of humour.
100/10

The sales lady was great. She took me through the whole process from working out the best firmness for me, then took my preferences into account and suggested some mattresses.
I never felt rushed or a nuisance.
Review of British Gas
It was time for a new gas boiler. Our radiators were working in faux 'heat pump' mode, ie we needed to back it up with electric fan heaters.
I decided to go with British Gas as I couldn't fault their previous works for me. It was expensive, but they gave a quote and stuck by it despite a lot of eventual extra work. 4.5k for a new boiler, flushing the system (which can cost 1K) and we had a replacement radiator for one room.
Their engineer had given my old boiler a service but it was obviously knackered with holes in pipes and all sorts of other problems. That engineer made sure it was safe to the nth degree (compared to a previous company who told me that looking at a boiler without opening it up equated to 'a service') while we were waiting for the boiler change.
Matt's been here 2 days, racing round like a bluebottle on a window ;) He's given us 150% service despite only 1 cup of tea a day. Our pipes had joint leaks and he ripped out and replaced many, commenting that the original plumber must have been a DIY noob. I agreed.
He left today. Every radiator was burny hot, even the kitchen one that had never properly worked. Bless Matt. I'd give him infinite plus points for how he'd looked after us, but 10/10 is the official max.

Review of Starrymart
I've only purchased dry goods recently but I'm also delighted with their fresh/frozen service.
I wish I'd photographed the delivery box. Not an inch of space was wasted. Bottles were double wrapped and taped.
Plenty of packing, but soft bags of flours helped protect the vulnerable items.
I'm very impressed with StarryMart. It would be nice if inexperienced brits would review their items to help others learn which ingredients they need and how to use them.
Review of YourRepair
Expecting a boiler service, the engineer didn't arrive.
So I contacted them to re-arrange, as many radiators were not working, we'd not had heating for several months and had been refused an earlier service.
I received an email saying I needed to get the boiler repaired before servicing!! So I said, the boiler just needs servicing.
Then I was told that their service just included an engineer looking at it and not going inside the case. I can do that!
I said that a service should include cleaning jets etc, and the response what that that would be a different kind of service ie a repair.
If I took my car in to the garage for a service, I would expect more than a mechanic looking at the outside of the car.
Homeserve would clean the insides and check all the radiators in the house.
So that's the end of YourRepair for me!
Further to the above:
I joined Homeserve by british gas and the boiler engineer came out today, the day after I cancelled yourpretendrepair, to give my boiler a SERVICE.
He opened up the boiler cabinet and spotted several problems. Tubes with holes, rust and copper on the cabinet floor. Containers that should have contained clear liquid holding black gunk.
He showed me a large grommet that had been eaten away over time. It was supposed to prevent the release of Carbon Monoxide, but had melted a plastic casing so was dangerous. Basically the 23/24yr old boiler was knackered.
As I would take holidays during februaries, when YourRepair would come do the "service" I didn't get to watch what they were actually doing.
The british gas engineer shook his head over what had been called a "service". It was obvious that the boiler hadn't had a real service all the time I'd had membership with yourpretendrepair.

Review of Zzoomm Full Fibre broadband
My house has 2 separate web providers (BT and Zzoomm) because there's 2 web profession reliant house sharers living here.
I dumped BT and went with zzoomm to get my own fibre broadband as BT would only install one per address.
I've had zzoomm for several months and I'm not at all happy with it.
I've needed to switch to the BT WiFi (on TV or Echos) in any room outside of my office (eg my bedroom which is one floor up and one room across). My old BT router, which used to be here in my office, had no issues with signals anywhere across the largish 4 bedroom house.
In an attempt to use my zzoomm wifi, I spent a fortune on a 3 piece Tenda Nova Mesh system. It took me months to install, because I'm a coward, but I'm finding that it will mesh but is so unreliable (gadgets keep auto switching to BT WiFi) I've needed to set up my bedroom gadgets onto the BT network just because I'm fed-up with messing about.
I feel, in the first instance, that the supplied router is really poor strength. I can't comment beyond that.
NB
I've been asked for more information from ZZoomm but I think they're asking for personal details eg address etc, but I don't want to post those details to a public platform such as trustpilot

Review of TJC
I like their customer service, but the prices are extortionate. As of today, scrap 9ct on a bullion site is approx £18 per gram, but TJC's average chain price is approx £100 per gram, eg a 12.6g 9ct necklace is being sold on offer for £1,104.99 which is 35% off. Ok, they have 'auctions' but wins are often overly expensive.
Ok, it's not scrap, but at today's prices it's worth taking a look at scrap values first.
I've bought from them for years and watched their gold prices rise at a rate higher than bullion.

They promised delivery on the following Thursday and it arrived via DHL! Very well packaged in polystyrene within an outer cardboard box. I’m glad there were no ice bags. Clean and cold and my freezer is full.
I’ve already eaten several items ;)
Review of Pharmacy2U Ltd
I'm very pleased with them most times, except if they're unable to post something because of availability.
It would be nice if they sent the remainder of the order.
For example there was a shortage of a medication lasting for some weeks after covid started, but the parcel included another medication that I needed immediately.

Amazing. Fabrics may have some flaws, but usually able to work round it. Great prices and so useful if you’re a novice. Fast delivery.

I ordered the cheapest pair I could, as spare driving specs, and they arrived within the week.
You fill in details that you can find from the prescription you should receive from your optician, then also add the distance between irises (friend measures this, correctly hopefully)
The only size option I wasn't able to determine or define was the length of the arms, and I just had to pray they'd be long enough, which they were in my case.
You can also test drive 4 pairs at a time, apparently, so you can see the frames in advance, but I didn't bother with this service as they're just for using in the car. Perhaps mine might put off a road rage driven person if I glare at him/her in them.
Anyway, everything was perfectly as ordered, great communication, fast to arrive, and performed just as well as those bought on site locally.
