Unscrupulous company

I ordered an outdoor table and chair set on Wayfair from VidaXL. Only chairs arrived. When I contacted Wayfair, they passed me to VidaXL, who then, I kid you not, CHANGED THEIR LISTING, and said I’d only bought chairs and no refund or return was possible. Thankfully, I had screenshots of the original listing, as well as my invoice and all emails about the order that all stated “with rectangular table.” Wayfair stepped in and organized the return and refund. I would never trust this company. Avoid at all costs!

Review of HURR

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I Bought HURR Protect. I Still Had to Do Everything Myself.

I purchased HURR Protect specifically because I wanted peace of mind when lending higher-value designer pieces. Unfortunately, when I actually needed to use it, the experience was extremely disappointing.

A renter returned a designer Zimmermann dress with extensive staining. I reported the issue immediately, provided before-and-after evidence, proof of purchase, cleaning receipts, timestamped metadata, and followed every instruction given to me.

What surprised me was how much of the process I was expected to manage myself. I had to contact the renter directly, organise specialist cleaning, gather evidence, repeatedly resend documentation, and spend considerable time chasing the claim. At one point I had to visit three separate dry cleaners before finding one with the correct treatment process for the fabric.

Perhaps the most frustrating aspect was repeatedly being asked for information that had already been supplied. Over the course of the claim, I provided proof of purchase, timestamped before-and-after evidence, metadata screenshots, receipts, and cleaning outcome photographs, yet continued receiving requests for the same documentation. Rather than feeling supported by HURR Protect, I often felt as though I was having to prove the same facts over and over again.

The dress was ultimately restored to a rentable condition thanks to an excellent specialist cleaner, but that was due to my own time, effort, and persistence rather than any meaningful support from HURR Protect.

The most frustrating aspect was being told that the renter had not purchased Damage Protection and that recovery of cleaning costs would therefore depend on pursuing the renter. As a lender, I had specifically purchased HURR Protect for this rental. Why should the effectiveness of the protection I paid for depend on whether somebody else purchased a separate product?

If HURR Protect is intended primarily as a reimbursement mechanism after lenders have done all the administrative work themselves, then that should be made much clearer. The name “Protect” created an expectation that HURR would play a more active role in managing situations like this.

This claim has made me seriously reconsider whether lending items through the platform is worth the risk.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and I’m really sorry to hear about your experience.

HURR Protect is designed to cover items that are damaged beyond repair or not returned. In this case, the makeup marks on your item were successfully removed following cleaning, and the item was restored to a rentable condition.

To open a HURR Protect claim, we do require supporting evidence at the point of submission. This is to ensure claims are only opened where an item is genuinely damaged beyond repair or not returned.

We also require lenders to provide the relevant documentation themselves, as we are not able to attend dry cleaners or arrange specialist services on behalf of users for their own items.

That said, we’re really sorry for any frustration caused during the process and appreciate the time and effort you put into resolving this.

Heads up: I requested cancellation within an hour and was told they can’t cancel, only return. Their refund policy also mentions an 18% service fee. Please read the refund/shipping policies carefully

I placed an order and after reading some alarming reviews, I emailed to cancel within one hour. Customer support replied that they couldn’t cancel because orders are processed automatically and directed me to their return/guarantee policy instead. Their refund policy mentions an 18% service fee for returns. After I left a factual comment on their Instagram ad about my experience, I was blocked/restricted from viewing their account.

When I looked through their online reviews/Instagram comments, I personally noticed what looked like repeated accounts posting similar praise. I can’t verify authenticity, but it didn’t reassure me.

I’m sharing this so other customers read the refund/shipping terms carefully before ordering.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Our fulfillment process is automated so orders can ship quickly. By the time your cancellation request was reviewed by our support team, the order had already been packaged and processed by the warehouse, which is why cancellation was no longer possible at that stage. In these situations, customers are directed to our return policy, which is disclosed prior to purchase.

Regarding returns, we do charge a restocking and service fee. This fee covers the cost of having returned devices professionally inspected, cleaned, sanitized, and restocked by our manufacturing partner so they can be restored to brand-new condition and meet required FDA standards before being resold. These policies are what allow us to offer returns while maintaining strict safety and quality standards for all customers.

We are proud of the community that has formed around our brand. Many customers choose to share their experiences to help others who are navigating similar hair-loss concerns, and we value those shared stories.

Regarding social media, we do not restrict customers for sharing genuine feedback. However, accounts may be limited if comments violate platform guidelines, contain misinformation, or disrupt discussion. Our intent is to maintain a respectful and informative space.

Our goal is to be transparent about our policies and responsive when customers reach out. We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective.

Fraudulent company

It is a scam as all the others have said.

When they were unable to deliver my ordered item, they offered me a replacement or store credits. I said I wanted a refund, which they have refused despite consumer law clearly being on my side. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, their customer service stuck to the store credit option.

After doing some research (too late), I then discovered the numerous reviews from others with similar complaints. I’ve since disputed the charge with my credit card provider and reported them to the relevant authorities.

If you’re considering purchasing from this company, don’t! They’re untrustworthy, and it seems they exist solely to take people’s money without providing the goods they advertise.

Excellent program and support

I've been super happy with Bodyline so far. After gaining 7kg postpartum due to a breastfeeding medication, I was really struggling with both my weight and image. After stopping breastfeeding, I got in touch with Bodyline, who helped me decided between two medications to help suppress my appetite. I couldn't be happier with the choice I made. In the first 6 weeks, I lost 7kg. Now, I've got another 7kg to go to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I definitely feel much more confident in my ability to get there now. The medical team definitely cares about your health too, ensuring your blood pressure is good for the medication.

Non-genuine repair parts

I’ve used So-Sure for years for my phone insurance and even had to make a claim for a cracked screen before. Everything was fine then, but now after my camera lens cracked and I received my phone back after five days, my phone is alerting me that the camera has been replaced with non-genuine parts. This is completely unacceptable and makes the phone worthless.

CONTAMINATED Vegan Baby Formula!

I ordered multiple boxes of vegan baby formula and what arrived was clearly expired/bad. My baby instantly spit it out and when I tried it, I spit it out too as, again, the contents were clearly expired or contaminated. I contacted customer service three times as the formula was very expensive and have had absolutely no reply.

Cold-pressed means nothing because they process afterwards!

Sadly, I'm quite disappointed in this product. While they advertise that it is cold-pressed, they still do a high pressure processing, which kills a significant amount of the nutrients. Fresh, raw, cold-pressed juice should last about 72 hours. Had I known that they process their juices, I never would've bought the week-long package. (I assumed they froze theirs for shipping and would instruct to freeze half the juices for the package.) A waste of money if you're looking for a truly cold-pressed juice subscription.

Hi Gracie

Sorry to hear that you were left disappointed with your recent order.

Our products are all advertised to have a minimum shelf life of 21 days. High-Pressure Processing is a technique by which products, already sealed in their final package, are subjected to a high level of isostatic pressure transmitted by water (no heat). The characteristics of fresh produce are retained, with 96% more nutrients preserved after the process, unlike heat pasteurisation. It also helps to destroy pathogens such as Salmonella & Norovirus without altering the flavour or texture of the product.

Raw juices would be fine 1-2 days after being made but on the last few days of shelf life is where potential harmful bacteria could become present.

The HPP process allows us to deliver our juices knowing they are safe to consume past being freshly made, extended shelf life so that we can supply cafe's & a product that is a nutritionally high quality. There is no heat used in our process at all. We'd also say that a juice has been frozen & then defrosted is no longer fresh & would affect quality.

Thanks,
Team B.fresh

Avoid at all costs

This company is disgraceful with misleading shipping times and customers literally being forced to download an app to even reach customer service or see the status of an order. Contact says it’s in United States, but it’s actually in China. Outrageous returns policy. Never ever again.

Not as Expected

Overall, I have very mixed feelings about the ADT system installed. The man who came to install the system was very frustrated by what I was sold (by a different man who had come to assess the house and sell me the package) as he struggled to install all the parts in the places discussed (as the house infrastructure wasn't there for it, but obviously, I didn't know this at the time of purchasing).

In addition, I was unaware that the system operates solely on wifi. I never would have bought the system had I known this as we try to turn our wifi off at night and when we're not home. It's a lot of money to spend on something that isn't expected.

Lastly, we get notifications every five minutes when something blows past the front door, so we've actually had to turn the notifications off, making it all rather useless and a waste at this point.

UPDATE: Don't be fooled by the ADT reply below. They have absolutely no interest in anything but getting money from your bank account.

Refunds are subject to £25 fee

I ordered a test kit, but discovered that I’d just passed the one day of my cycle I needed to test on (the website doesn’t indicate which day until you have already paid and ordered). As I’m going abroad to work for a few months, the test instantly became inconvenient and useless to me. I raised the issue and am receiving a refund minus £25 as they cannot take the totally unopened package back due to it being classified as medical items. This is completely extortionate given that it’s a blood test sampling kit. £25! Go to your GP. Talk to them. Get the tests you need there and pay privately in-person. For shame.

Website claims to be in UK; it's not. Expect massive import charges!

Website claims to be in UK, but it is not. Items ship from US and receiver gets slapped with massive import charge. I was shocked to have to pay £21 in import duty/taxes on items I thought came from the UK. As others have said, there is nothing you can do. I will never order from them again. They seem to only care about one-hit wonder clients as no one in their right mind would be a repeat customer. This company is DISGRACEFUL! I don't know how this is legal.

First and last time buying

Like so many others, I've had a horrible experience with this company as a buyer. It was my first and last time.

I bought two items, and four weeks later, one has not arrived. The other was significantly not as described and I managed to get them to agree to a return (which was quite a protracted process), but today, I received an email from them as if I was a seller and they were reviewing the quality control of the item now. This is ridiculous: the item still has their tags, and literally went back in the box the same way it came, and includes their returns form.

There is absolutely no accountability. I've had to file a Paypal claim now against this disgraceful company.

You can't make returns either if you don't like an item, a policy I didn't know until after I bought. (I guess I was "lucky" in that one seller didn't ship and the other didn't list honestly.) Absolutely appalling. (I'm still waiting for my money back.)

Terrible returns. £20 return on £35 rug, which was incorrect in the first place. Had to get Paypal involved. Company based in Germany, not UK. Beware that all returns go to Germany. They don't seem at all interested in maintaining clientele. I'll never shop here again.

All the fake reviews are the first clue

There are a ridiculous amount of fake reviews on this site, which should be one's first clue as to the company. I've been waiting since September for a claim to be processed and am having to pay my GP out-of-pocket £140 for a medical report because Insure and Go didn't act appropriately when I was stranded on a mountain abroad with an injury. They worked with the hospital fine, but not with getting me off the mountain despite being unable to walk. I won't be renewing my policy for sure. I've been on their top policy for years and this was my first claim. It's completely disgraceful.

Warning Lights on Dash Upon Pick-Up But Not Drop-Off!

Unfortunately, upon getting the car back, two warning lights appeared on the dash. These were not on when we left the car in their care. After a red-eye flight from the US, I had to go to the dealer for diagnostics to discover that the hybrid battery had died and would cost £1-2k to replace. The mechanics stated that it was likely to have come about by the car being left improperly and needing to be jumpstarted, or even excessively poor driving. It's hard to say whether or not this was a fluke would have happened to us had we not left the car with them, but it definitely happened while with them, and I won't take the chance to park with them again as it was an exceedingly expensive mistake.

Left me having to buy a data plan

Instead of fixing a problem, Gigaclear actually made it worse and left me without internet for an entire weekend, forcing me to buy a large data plan for my phone company so that I could get my work done. Their response to the many faults they made along the way was basically, "we will retrain our team based on the errors--thank you for highlighting them--but we won't reimburse you for the money you had to spend due to our error." It's shameful.

Reply to Gigaclear's response: There were multiple problems and a member of the Gigaclear team actually informed me that they had made a mistake on their end which caused my internet to be off for the weekend. This is a typical shoddy customer service response that I've found from Gigaclear. It's ironic that Gigaclear provided the equipment they're now saying was temporarily faulty. What a joke.
