I ordered a book as a gift, and the company contacted me right before dispatching to say it had been damaged in transit from their supplier. They sent a photo showing the damage and initially offered a pathetic €3 discount to take it off their hands.

When I explained that this was a ruined gift and that waiting 3–5 days for a replacement wasn't an option, I asked for a more reasonable €6 discount to offset the massive inconvenience. They countered by digging deep into their company reserves to offer an extra... 50 cents.

It is mind-boggling that this business expects customers to pay nearly full price for damaged goods. Because they refused to offer a fair discount, they just canceled my order. Now, instead of keeping a customer happy, this unsellable book is likely heading straight to a landfill. Complete corporate greed over basic customer satisfaction and environmental sense. Avoid this seller if you actually want your items to arrive on time and intact.

0.5€, what a joke!

The books I ordered are in really good condition and most importantly were the editions pictured (as I was looking to match the rest of my series). The communication was clear and send quickly.

Rigtig god priser, undtagen måske Marbout, nogle franske bøger. Fragt er langsom. Det tage uger, en måned, men får en estimering. Levering er meget billig. Meget forsigtig pakket. Har handlet rigtig mange gange, man får gratis fragt med points.

Il libro in questione doveva essere un regalo di compleanno che ho ordinato ben 20 giorni prima della data per cui mi serviva. Adesso mi tocca ordinarlo dall'America tramite Amazon e chissà se arriverà in tempo...
Assolutamente incompetenti, se avessero avvisato prima avrei potuto muovermi in tempo, invece no.

Many options that otherwise don't exist in bookstores in my country, shipping is affordable, price range is no different, sometimes even less expensive than in most bookstores. Packed well. Delivery does take a few weeks, depending on where you live, but you will be notified about delivery through e-mail.

A fantastic online shop with a huge selection of foreign-language books (I’m from Germany) and other items. Many books are available at significantly lower prices than at competitors like Amazon, etc. Very friendly service; the goods were shipped quickly and packaged beautifully—and, above all, in an eco-friendly way (no plastic waste). I stumbled upon this shop by chance, and I will definitely be ordering from here more often in the future! Thank you for existing! :)

Nefasto. No compréis nunca con ellos. Un mes de espera para mi paquete, cuando supuestamente me lo iban a entregar me dicen que el transportista lo ha perdido. Pido el reembolso y cancelación del pedido, tardan dos semanas en darme resolución y me deniegan la devolución del dinero, a todo esto dándome largas con la devolución del dinero. He tenido que estar detrás de ellos todo el tiempo, son inutiles, tienen un servicio de atención al cliente tremendamente malo y no tienen ni idea de lo que hacen.

I ordered some books from them, most were preorders. They were once they were all available and arrived in pristine condition, prices were good as well.

I got my package very very fast. Their costumer servise is very good to i will be ordering from them again

I had a really positive experience with Libristo. They kept me updated throughout the entire process. When the book arrived at their warehouse with a few minor scuffs, they quickly reached out to offer a discount or a replacement. That builds great trust as a customer!

The delivery time also matched what was listed on their website perfectly. Highly recommended!

Propos des précommande et incapable d'assurer les commandes

C'est ma 3ème commande chez Libristo et je suis toujours aussi satisfaite de leurs services.
Lors de ma 1ère commande, un des livres commandé n'était finalement pas disponible et le service client m'a immédiatement proposé plusieurs solutions (livraison en deux fois dès que le stock est à nouveau disponible - remboursement du livre manquant - et il y avait une 3ème proposition mais j'ai oublié ce que c'était, désolée...). J'ai vraiment apprécié le fait que le service client prenne le temps de proposer plusieurs solutions pour satisfaire au mieux les besoins du client.
Alors oui, les délais de livraison sont plutôt long, mais en contre partie les prix des livres que j'ai acheté sont vraiment attractifs par rapport aux autres sites, et rien que pour ça, ça vaut vraiment la peine d'être patient !
Je continuerai d'acheter des livres sur ce site.

WORST shopping experience of my life! I will not even mention the month long wait or the fact that one of the books I received was the wrong isbn. My main issue was with the refusal to refund me. I paid with klarna which automatically makes 3 installments, the first one going through at checkout the day of the order. But after that libristo cancelled two of my books because they weren’t available. Only instead of adjusting the amount of the next installments deducting the first installment I paid the day of the order, they adjusted it as though I made a brand new order, meaning the first installment I paid was “lost.” Klarna recognized of course the issue and said the seller meaning libristo is supposed to refund me. And they never did. They kept emailing me that they will check the issue etc and weeks went by and I’m still receiving the same answer: that they will “look into it”. Unacceptable. Save your money and stay clear of them.

Depuis la loi Darcos, ca a été une galère de trouver où acheter mes livres en anglais. J'ai eu beaucoup de déceptions, entre les retards énormes, les prix exorbitants, les livres arrivant dans un piteux état... Libristo n'est rien de tout ça. Les délais sont maîtrisés, les livres arrivent toujours dans un parfait état, et aucun abus sur les prix sous prétexte de coût d'import.

Muy mala experiencia con el envío.

Hice el pedido el 24 de julio y no lo recibí hasta el 11 de agosto, después de más de dos semanas de espera. Además, pagué casi 5 € de gastos de envío. Me parece un plazo totalmente excesivo para un pedido de libros, especialmente cobrando ese importe por el envío.

La comunicación durante el proceso también fue bastante deficiente. Muy poco recomendable si necesitas recibir el pedido en un plazo razonable.

I am a regular customer at Libristo and have an extensive wish list so it happened that I mistakenly ordered the same book twice (one was in shipment that I was expecting and one was in new order). I wrote to customer service in panic and a bit embarrassed because of my mistake. They answered very quickly and agreed to change the book in my order with another one from my wish list. Prices of switched books were the same, when I checked, but apparently they changed in a day or two, since they even refunded 0,28 EUR to me. Praise is not just for customer service department though, web site is nicely organized, orders are completely trackable, there are even benefits that you collect with purchases. I am staying a loyal customer.

J'ai commandé deux livres dans une belle édition. Les deux étaient emballé dans un carton fin, sans protection à l'intérieur. Forcément, ils sont arrivés dans un état pitoyable. Les couvertures étaient usées et cornés, et l'un des livres est arrivé avec de nombreuses pages déchirées et cornées.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Libristo.
My original order never arrived, and I never received any notification or tracking update from GLS. After contacting customer service, I was offered either a refund or a replacement. I chose the replacement because I wanted the book, not my money back.
Unfortunately, 5 days have now passed since they confirmed they would resend the package, and I still have not received any notification, tracking information, or any update. I also sent another email asking for information, but I have received no response.
I appreciate that customer service was polite, but the overall experience has been very frustrating. After two failed delivery attempts, I still don't have the book I paid for. I cannot recommend this store based on my experience
