　効果的にクラックを除去することができる磁気ディスク用ガラス基板の製造方法を提供する。 　磁気ディスク用ガラス基板の製造方法において、主表面と、主表面に対向する裏面と、主表面から裏面に貫通する貫通孔を構成する内側面と、内側面と対向する外側面とを有する円形のガラス基板を準備する準備工程１と、ガラス基板の内側面及び外側面を研磨する前研磨工程２Ａと、研磨されたガラス基板をラッピングするラッピング工程３と、ラッピングされたガラス基板の内側面及び外側面を研磨する後研磨工程２Ｂと、を設けた。
