Description
Dr. Hartmut Kotowski, 7800 Freiburg Device for a glare-free optical inspection of a welding point before and after the start of the welding process.
I ermöglicht.
% The great brightness that occurs during welding must be darkened so that the welder can observe and control the welding process. This can be done, for example, using light-absorbing glass. This light absorption is too strong to be able to see sufficiently through the light-absorbing glass in normal brightness. In order to be able to see the welding point before welding , the light-absorbing glass must either be folded up or pushed up. The purpose of the invention is to create a device that enables a simple change from an open view of the welding point to a light-shielded view and vice versa.
%
I This object is achieved in the invention in the following manner j ·:
i The field of vision in the welding helmet is divided into 2 fields. The upper field is made of light-absorbing glass
1 schützt. (1 in Abb. I ). 1 protects. (1 in Fig. I ) This allows the welding process to be observed. In the lower field, slats are arranged in such a way that when looking at an angle you can see through them below ( 2 in Fig. I ). If the welder raises his head with the protective helmet, he can see the welding point through the slats in the lower field and, for example, bring the welding device to the right place on the workpiece to be welded. The welder then lowers his head with the protective helmet, brings the field with the light-absorbing glass in front of his eyes and the welding process can begin. No light can now penetrate from the welding point through the angled slats, especially if the surfaces of the slats are dark.
Once the welding process is finished, the welder lifts his head with the helmet again and can see the welding point through the slatted panel, assess it and knock off slag. The welder has both hands free.
