Abstract

Dette patentet beskriver en fremgangsmåte for oppløsning av 4-[4-(dimetylamino)- 1-(4´-fluorfenyl)-1-hydroksybutyl]-3-(hydroksymetyl)-benzonitril som en racemisk 5 eller ikke-racemisk enantiomerblanding i dens isolerte enantiomerer, hvor nevnte fremgangsmåte omfatter trinnet med fraksjonsvis krystallisering av 4-[4- (dimetylamino)-1-(4´-fluorfenyl)-1-hydroksybutyl]-3-(hydroksymetyl)-benzonitril som et salt med (+)-(S,S)- eller (-)-(R,R)-enantiomeren av O,O'-di-p-toluoyl-vinsyre i et løsningsmiddelsystem som omfatter 1-propanol, etanol eller acetonitril.
