I already find windsurf and their limited credits for $15 usd a scam but now getting charged x2 for gemini 3 after giving error is just showing you are parasites selling shit. c37dec08-89cc... See more

New pricing model is just to get more…
New pricing model is just to get more money which backfired. I was the top fan of windsurf and brought thousands of dollars by me and many of my referrals but now I never recommend this greedy company to anyone.
STAY AWAY
Worst pricing change ever
Worst pricing change ever.
I needed Opus 4.6 for a certain task. I worked for < 30 mins and it instantly reached my limit. The worst part is it reached 50% of my weekly limit as well -- that means for another < 15-30 mins of important work I wouldn't be able to use it for another 5 days!
I've been with Windsurf since the start and I'm definitely disappointed with this change.
The fall of windsurf
It used to be the best plugin for Jetbrains IDE.
It used to be one of the good vs code forks.
It used to be clear about their pricing and their charges for model usages.
It used to be the competitor for cursor and a lot of people switched to windsurf for this reason.
Now its nothing from the above.
Since they change their pricing, they are loosing the best value they had.
You can deplete your balance in few prompts and there is no way to understand how they charge each day.
Models are becoming slower and more buggy and you cannot use it for programming all day without giving extra hundred of dollars.
I used to recommend it to everyone.
Now i don't recommend it to anyone.
Stay away, its a dead company now that will close very soon
Was good till the Credits system
Was good till the Credits system, But now It is wastage of money... I am regretting now because of buying the susbcription and it was my last subscription.
Windsurf went from being my go-to…
Windsurf went from being my go-to coding tool to one of the most frustrating AI coding products I’ve used.
I had deliberately saved credits for when I’d actually have time to use them, only to find the pricing model changed in a way that feels deeply unfair and completely user-unfriendly.
The product no longer feels like it’s built to help developers — it feels like it’s built to squeeze them. That completely kills the trust and value it once had.
I can no longer recommend Windsurf to anyone. Claude Code is currently a much better choice in both value and user experience.
Really disappointing fall-off.
I agree with the new comments
I agree with the new comments. I am a power user, having used it extensively for months and bought thoudsands of dollars in tokens.
The new pricing model is a rip off. Not sure how much, but looks like 5x-10x more expensive.
This is not the way. I am moving to Junie or will find something similar.
It is a shame, it was a great product.
completely ruined by the new pricing model.
Was a great product – completely ruined by the new pricing model.
I’ve been using Windsurf for a long time and even learned a big part of my coding workflow with it. I also purchased a significant amount of credits over time.
After the switch from credits to the new quota system, everything changed:
* Costs are extremely unpredictable
* A single request (e.g. Claude Opus) can cost several dollars
* Daily limits make real project work almost impossible
My previously converted credits were gone within a very short time without any clear transparency on how they were used. That alone is frustrating, but the bigger issue is the new system itself.
Before, you could plan your usage. Now it feels like every prompt is a financial risk.
This update turned a very useful tool into something that is no longer economically viable.
Unless they fix pricing and transparency, I will switch to alternatives.
Very disappointing.
Scam Pricing Change - Unethical Business - Do NOT use
I was a Pro User until today - 6 days after they unilaterally shoved unfair and unprecedented new pricing model down all customers throats.
A scam pricing model that has both daily and weekly limits,
Explain to me, if you didn't exceed a daily limit - how in hell could you exceed a weekly limit ???
But thats exactly what happened after only 4 days usage,
Daily usage for today 0% - Weekly 100% - now cannot use it for another 3 days.
An unmitigated disaster move, they are out of the game now.
RIP Windsurf
Greedy
I have been using windsurf for a year now but with this new change, I have cancelled my subscription and won't be returning unless it goes back to the model. What a joke.
Was great - terrible now
Was great. Now is terrible. I got roughly the same Windsurf experience running with VS Code & Claude. Seems faster / better / cheaper. WINDSURFs price gouging casued me to look elsewhere. I am grateful they did as I realise now they werent adding much value anyway - just expensive polish
Windsurf is unusable
Windsurf is unusable, I suspect the company is going down hill since their CEO left for Google. They are clueless, they woke up one morning, sent all their users a pricing model notice and before you could say jack they switched their pricing to a ridiculous model. To use windsurf without limits today you will spend nearly a $1,000 monthly if not more. People who tried out the $200 plan are requesting for a refund because they hit the limits in just 1hr. People who asked for a refund even without using it at all, are given a partial refund. Stay away from this sinking company.
Avoid This Company
Alright, so out of the blue, this company decided to completely change the entire pricing structure. I received an email from Jeff Wang explaining this, and he stated that we could request refunds if we didn't like the changes. Immediately, I requested a refund as I have no interest in API rates, and had already moved on to Claude Code, anyway. I managed to get into contact with a support agent, who then proceeded to ghost me. When I contacted the support AI a second time to try and get a different agent who wouldn't ghost me, the AI said they don't do refunds. This is in exact opposition to the email I received prior to this. It seems like the company is holding my money hostage and even more likely that I will need to seek legal avenues to receive restitution. That is fine by me but seems a little ridiculous for them to pay $5k in lawyer fees when they could just refund me for much less.
The new pricing has ruined everything — the service is now unusable and non trustworthy.
It used to be a great service and IDE, but the new pricing policy introduced six days ago is both unfair and lacking transparency. Despite having a team subscription, the daily limits are exhausted after just a few prompts. As a result, we are now paying significantly more on a daily basis than we previously did monthly for additional credit usage.
Additionally, we have noticed charges appearing at the start of the day for extra usage, even when no usage had occurred. It’s unclear whether this is a system issue, but it further undermines trust.
Unfortunately, this was the final breaking point for us. Customer support has also been largely unresponsive, and when they do reply, they fail to address the actual concerns raised. This reflects a lack of respect for users.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. After using it for 1.5 years, we have already made plans to quit.
The pricing system is new and failed
The pricing system is new and failed, we don't want this
Scam?
Windsurf used to be a pretty decent company, but suddenly they started waging a guerrilla war on their own users. They switched to an entirely new pricing and service model overnight (no, seriously, 12 hours notice). Violated their own service agreements and multiple anti-bait-and-switch state laws. New pricing system is unusable and the product is now terrible, but even moreso, can't trust the company at all because of their lack of business acumen.
New usage limits
Based on what I experience right now cursor just bumped up their pricing even for such old models as codex 5.2. Prices scyrocketed about 5x times. idk the reason yo use this any more, to me it seems extremely bad and stupid transition, the tool right now is simply unpredictible and not compelling at all
They completely ruined a pretty decent product, turning it into a money-burning machine. They did it overnight.
And it's all because of their Quota system. The previous points plan in PRO allowed for predictable management of their use. You could create something really cool overnight. The current plan means you hit your quota limit in a few minutes. If you don't pay extra, you can't do anything. You wait for the next day, and it's the same thing. On top of that, there’s the Weekly Quota, and it's exactly the same there. You don't know how much quota your next request will use. It’s completely unpredictable, and you have no control over it.
So, link your credit card, turn on autorefill, work as you did before, and even though you still have PRO, watch your money evaporate minute by minute.
Most unprofessional transition in…
Most unprofessional transition in payment plan. 10x spike in pricing without any anouncments.
Day 1 user, spit in face, goodbye!
Predatory Pricing Change
I am writing to formally request the immediate cancellation of my Windsurf subscription and a full refund of my remaining balance.
Let me be direct: the March 19th pricing overhaul is not a ‘simplification.’ It is a deliberate degradation of service value disguised behind corporate language.
I, along with thousands of other loyal subscribers, chose Windsurf specifically because of its transparent, credit-based model. We paid for a defined unit of value. That value proposition has now been unilaterally and retroactively destroyed.
The new quota system is not simpler, it is deliberately opaque. A single Claude Opus prompt consuming a disproportionate chunk of a weekly allowance is not a ‘scaling with complexity’ feature. It is a mechanism designed to accelerate consumption, drive users toward overage charges, and manufacture artificial urgency. The Trustpilot reviews flooding in since March 19th confirm I am not alone in this assessment.
Your CEO’s email framed this as a user experience improvement. With respect, that framing is insulting!…. If Windsurf need more revenue (a completely understandable business need), the correct move would have been to raise credit prices transparently. Your user base, myself included, would have accepted that. Instead, you chose a model that maximizes unpredictability on the user’s end while guaranteeing revenue predictability on yours! That is not a product decision made in users’ interests.
The fact that your own pricing announcement email acknowledges the option to ‘cancel and request a prorated refund’ confirms that this refund is a reasonable and anticipated request, not an exception.
I am therefore requesting:
1. Immediate cancellation of my subscription.
2. A full prorated refund for the unused portion of my current billing period.
3. Refund of any unconsumed add-on credits at the rate I originally paid.
I expect a response and confirmation of this request within 5 business days. If this is not resolved promptly, I will be escalating through my payment provider and filing a formal complaint with the relevant consumer protection authorities.
I genuinely hope someone at Windsurf with decision-making authority reads the community feedback pouring in right now, because what is happening is not a pricing experiment. It is a trust collapse.

New quota plan is really an exploitation
Since the introduction of quota on 19.03.2026, this IDE is very unfriendly. i do not recommend at all now unless they switch back to credits. New quota plan is really an exploitation
