Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 142 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people reported significant issues with unauthorized charges, often finding their accounts debited without consent or for services not provided. Customers frequently encountered non-existent or unhelpful customer service, characterized by automated replies and slow response times, making it difficult to resolve problems. Reviewers also expressed frustration with the service itself, describing it as worthless or non-functional, leading to lost work. The pricing model was often seen as non-transparent and overpriced, with credits consumed rapidly, and refund requests were frequently ignored or denied. However, some people found the service concept appealing and its features cool, with a few also reporting they received refunds, though often after considerable effort.

I Paid $443 for Manus Pro. My Credits Were Consumed by Failed AI Tasks.

I paid $443 USD for a one-year Manus Pro subscription because I believed it would help me build my website. Instead, my experience has been one of the most frustrating I’ve had with any AI service.

The AI repeatedly failed to complete the same website generation project while consuming tens of thousands of my credits. The tasks failed, but the credits were still deducted.

I contacted support multiple times. On earlier occasions, support acknowledged that the failures were caused by the AI. One agent said a refund had been issued, another gave a different amount, and I was left trying to understand where my credits had gone.

I have spent 16 hours providing screenshots, project links, and my credit history, repeating the same explanation to different support agents. Instead of receiving a clear breakdown of the credits consumed and refunded, I was passed between agents and told to wait for further investigations.

For a service that costs $443 per year, I expected reliable AI and transparent billing. When the AI fails to complete a task due to its own limitations, customers should not be left wondering why thousands of credits disappeared or why refund amounts keep changing.

I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for accountability, transparency, and a fair resolution. If Manus charges credits for failed AI tasks, it should clearly show how those credits were calculated and refunded.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend paying for Manus Pro or recommend anyone to use Manus until these issues are addressed.

Warning

Warning:
MANUS is an Absolute Waste of Time and Money ($6,000+ Gone) – Avoid Manus AI
I have been trying to finish up two projects with Manus, and I must say they have the absolute worst AI programming platforms I have ever encountered. I have spent over $6,000 with them and have gotten absolutely nowhere so far.

If you are thinking about using them, save your sanity and your bank account. Look elsewhere. Here is exactly why they are a total nightmare:

The Ultimate Money Pit: OH MY GOD. I keep buying more and more time to finish my projects. I spend hours correcting the bot, my credits get completely drained, I buy more credits, and I am still nowhere near finished. To be out over $6,000 with zero finished products to show for it is completely unacceptable.

Endless, Non-Stop Errors: There are so many, many, many mistakes in their logic. After almost every single execution, I have to step in to correct or fix something that the system randomly changed or broke. I am spending hours upon hours just fixing what the bot messes up.

Fake Customer Support:
They keep telling you to help.manus.im. help.manus.im for assistance, but it is just a massive runaround. I have tried using it at least 6 to 8 times and there is literally no "Contact Us" box or clear way to actually send a message to a human.

It is an incredibly frustrating loop: the bot makes a mistake, you spend hours fixing it, you run out of credits, you pay more money, and the bot breaks something else. On my last go around Manus said I had 10,000 credits and after 2 or 3 small paragraphs my credits was 0 out. Now saying time to renew. To be honest Manus is not even worth one star.

Final Verdict: Zero stars. Broken AI, broken support, and a massive cash grab. I believe it is time for a class action lawsuit against Manus AI. Do not waste your time or money here.

failed customer service

I am a paying customer of Manus and I am writing to formally document one of the worst customer service experiences I have had with any technology product.
My agent failed. That happens — technology is imperfect and I understand that. What is not acceptable is what came next.
I contacted customer support to get help resolving the issue. I was told someone would assist me. That was a lie. No help came. I followed up. My messages were ignored — completely, without acknowledgement, without an update, without even the basic courtesy of being told there was a delay.
I am a paying customer. I pay for a professional service. What I received instead was a broken product, a false promise, and then silence.
This is not a minor inconvenience. This is a failure of basic professional standards. If Anthropic cannot support the products it charges customers for, it should not be charging for them.
I expect a response, an explanation, and a resolution. If none is forthcoming, I will be escalating this further and making sure other potential customers are aware of exactly what level of support they can expect when things go wrong.

I wanted to build a fairly simple…

I wanted to build a fairly simple ordering app for my business. Initially manus seemed to understand my whole vision but then it lost its way and took many tries to solve problems it had created. It kept burning credits on debugging and going over and over the same problem. After one day it had burned $1200 in credits and had not generated a remotely useable app. Think I’ll try something different.

"13 Days

"13 Days, 5 Chatbots, 0 Human Responses – $2,000 Pro Subscription"

I subscribed to Manus Pro Annual in January 2026 for $2,000. After six months of systematically defective outputs and 240,000 credits wasted on agent errors and hallucinations, I submitted a formal dispute (DISPUTE-2024-001) with a DSAR under Singapore’s PDPA.

Over 13 days, I was passed between 5 different AI chatbots (Sam, Jordan, Eleanor, Ceej, Roxy), received 3 promises of escalation, and received zero human responses. The company closed my conversations twice without resolving anything.

If you are considering a paid subscription, be aware: when something goes wrong, you will not speak to a human. You will receive emojis and conversation closures.

Formal complaints have been filed with PDPC and CASE.

Absolutely horrible

Absolutely horrible. They are scams, frauds, and they will take your money over and over and over again without your permission, without your authorization. While they try to claim that they have a refunds, and they have help available. None is available. They will block your email. They will block your chats they will block everything that they, I mean, you can get in contact with none of them. I suggest that you keep trying to get your money.I'm in it for about a month now.I still can't get no money out of them.I canceled even before they, my free trial was over. They continued to hit my bank.A numerous times without my consent, and with proof of cancellalization beforehand and they are out to scam. This is enough, please somebody if you know what to do about companies like this, you need to sue them.Get them, get them away from the american people

Overpriced

Like everything from Meta, customer service is non existent, in fact it's diabolical Manus itself is a great concept. but the sheer cost of the credits, make it more of a gimmick than a usable tool, give it a few more years and they will have hopefully lowered the credits cost and ironed out the mistakes the agents make that burn through the overpriced credits like a hot knife through butter. I hate Meta and everything they do, but this was actually quite good, apart from the greed. (which seems to be the norm with all American tech companies)

Disappointing experience

Disappointing experience — paying for inaccurate results

I've had consistent issues with the platform repeatedly telling me I'm out of credits, even when my balance should be sufficient. After topping up to resolve the issue, the answers I received were incorrect — which means I'm effectively paying for unreliable output.

For a tool that charges for usage, accuracy is the bare minimum expectation. If the credits system is broken and the results can't be trusted, there's no value proposition here. I'd caution others to test thoroughly before committing any money to this platform.

Hoping the team addresses these issues, but until then I can't recommend it.

Paid $200 for a "cloud browsing" feature that does not work - refund refused by a bot

I subscribed to Manus Pro for $200 specifically for the advertised autonomous "cloud browsing" capability. That core advertised feature does not work. When I asked for a refund, support is handled entirely by an AI bot called "Morgan" that refused the refund, would not escalate to a human, and gave no case number - and emailing their support address just gets the same bot auto-reply. Advertising a feature that doesn't function and then walling refunds behind a bot that always says no is not acceptable. I have had to file a card chargeback to recover my money.

Credit refund never received

Credit refund never received, compensation case ignored, agent gave contradictory information

I have been a Pro400 subscriber and encountered serious issues with the credit system.

Agent Jody confirmed a credit refund was processed on June 5, but my account showed zero credits with no refund reflected. When I followed up multiple times asking for the exact amount and timestamp, I only received generic delay responses with no specific answers.

When I contacted support again, a different agent Eleanor told me no refund was possible and closed my case without resolving it — directly contradicting what Jody had told me.

I also have a separate compensation case escalated to the Specialized Team for 17 documented incidents including false-complete tasks, data loss, and excessive credit consumption causing 30+ hours of rework. This case has received zero updates.
I also have a separate compensation case escalated to the Specialized Team for 17 documented incidents including false-complete tasks, data loss, and excessive credit consumption causing 30+ hours of rework. This case has received zero updates.

The product capability is decent, but the credit system is opaque and the customer support is inconsistent and unreliable. Two agents gave completely contradictory information about the same issue.
Case was handled by agents Jody, Eleanor, and Joana.

Incredibly fast and efficient customer service

Had a good design experience with Manus but am not ready to commit to subscription… still a bit more to explore… so when my trial subscription ended and I was charged for subscription this morning I expected a fight for refund (most people will be familiar with unintended signups) but within the hour a refund was processed… seems like good people to me!!

Fraudulent refund practice and 18 support agents who all did nothing

I spent USD 1,076.34 on Manus between May 12 and June 12, 2026 — subscription, 68 pay-as-you-go top-ups, and a Cloud Computer plan.

The platform failed badly from June 2–7: executing tasks without my instruction and severely underperforming, wasting ~107,000 credits and causing significant project delays.

I submitted evidence and requested a refund. What followed was one of the most cynical customer service experiences I have ever encountered:

• 18+ agents (Rose, Xiao, Morgan, Haziq, Leo, Senti, Yagan, Roz, Riley, Angel, Jordan, Kairo, Sama, Mel, Bernard…) each asked me to repeat the entire issue from scratch
• Every single one gave the same templated reply: “We have refunded the credits to your account”
• Actual credits refunded: zero
• When I sent screenshots proving zero credits were received, each agent said “the issue is complex and has been escalated to a specialist team”
• No one ever followed up

This is not poor customer service. This is a deliberate tactic to exhaust customers until they give up.

I have since downgraded my subscription, filed a formal complaint via their sales form, posted publicly on X (@ManusAI), and initiated a chargeback for the full USD 1,076.34.

If you are considering Manus, read the reviews here carefully. The product has potential but the company will take your money and gaslight you when things go wrong.

I reported 6,835 credit loss from stuck Agent task; support agents repeatedly only demanded non-existent share link.

The ai agent help escalated case to specialized team but no follow up.

Agent tasks lack share functionality.

After 18 loops of info and screencap.
Ai agent apologized for wrong link requests, confirmed Agent interface lacks share button, escalated case for credit review.

But still ghosting or go back to ask a not existing link.

Your money or credit might gone like $100 gone because of their ai stuck in loop. But you never able to get the refund or help. Even they admit the problem, they kept pretend not seeing your account, even they know your user just the email address.

Fraudulent Billing

First of all, this company violates the PCI DSS security standards. Here is how:
On their checkout page, there is option for Apple Pay. When you select Apple Pay, they are supposed to receive a token for that payment. But, this company manipulated the receiving end of payment, and probed your credit card number, and saved it.

And, once it's saved, you can't remove it even if you cancel your service.

This act alone can get them find or barred from receiving payments.

On their website, you only have to click on something accidentally once to get charged $400. There is no confirmation, no Face ID verification. They stole your card info in order to do just this.

This company is fraudulent. You should never give them your credit card number. Use something like Privacy to limit how much they can draw from you.
