After a conversation with an understanding agent my washing machine was replaced. Thank you for the final outcome. I am grateful for keeping to your word.

The company is extremely difficult to contact . After 17years of paying for my insurance, when I eventually spoke to agents of the company trying to book a repair, I was then cut off and then had to restart the process again. With no way forward at the end of the process. Only when I wrote an email to
complain about the service the problem was correctly and swiftly resolved.

Reported a supposed fault with our Belling inbuilt fan assisted oven which turned to be totally incorrect. Engineer duly attended, diagnosed the issue which turned out to an educational and training issue with regards to the operation of the oven. When the oven was fitted an operating manual was not provided and this has now been rectified. A hard copy of the manual has now been sent by Belling to our home, has now been read through by all parties and we are now better educated all round. The Pacifico Engineer was very helpful on this occasion.

The engineer himself was lovely, he said we needed new seels and ordered them. Now the trouble is I did not receive them and he said he would re-order them. I have still not received them and now he is not answering my texts.

Paying for Insurance with Domestic & General is very worthwhile. They looked after us really well when our appliances stopped working. Great to know that we can trust on D&G.

Great service, prompt replacement with brand new appliance after our fridge broke down beyond being repairable.

After several attempts to have this machine repairs I've had 2 visits where parts were replaced and still there is a small leak.
I've had nothing but issues with D&G and when the faults aren't fixed and I ask for a replacement unit, I'm told it's not do-able at this stage.
I was sold on the phone when purchasing the policy "if we can't fix it, we'll replace it"
Well you can't fix it clearly and you're not replacing it yet either? So I'm going to cancel all my policies tomorrow when the phone lines open up and I will also be contacting the ombudsman for not fulfilling their promises of a replacement machine.
I've taken several days annual leave or unpaid to be in for engineer visits and half the time the engineers don't even show up or ring me to let me know and have the audacity to claim "no one was home". My doorbell camera proves no one even arrived at my property let alone checked if I was home.
An absolute joke of a company. Do not insure your machines with this company. You'd be better off buying a new machine. It would be cheaper and you'd get better service. That or, like me, learn to fix the machine myself. It'll be done quicker and cheaper than this company can do with their empty apologies.

Delivery was okay
Machine is still boxed as they didn’t install or recycle old machine
So having to organise the installation and recycling ourselves
Basically another lengthy period without a washing machine for daily use

Once the old dishwasher was said to be none repairable by the engineer you was very quick to send details of new dishwashers to choose from. Once chosen it was then delivered and installed within a few days :)

Domestic and General is definitely my go-to insurance company. Their staff are so friendly, always listen, and do their absolute best to resolve any problem. It's usually the 3rd parties who let them down. Thanks for your support!

Where do I begin? I had a Haier washing machine. It needed repaired. The only way to get this done was to take out a D&G policy. They did not have a local repair service but appointed a local contractor who ordered a part for repair. The day before the part arrived D&G wrote the machine off. I was told I could chose a replacement like for like but I would need to continue with the contract. I reluctantly chose a replacement. The replacement Hoover machine has broken down three months later. I made a complaint but this was not upheld. What can I say? Poor, I think. I was given to understand that there would be local support, this was not the case. I wanted my nice Haier machine repaired and it was written off unnecessarily, my new machine was delivered but not installed (as I was led to believe) and then broke down within 3 months. As I say very poor, I think.
