Review of Howden Insurance
An initial quote in respect of renewal of my policies reflected a substantial increase from last year's premium in respect of one of my cars, but on querying this I was able to negotiate a far better premium in respect of both of them, also my two motor scooters. I did look elsewhere on a comparison website, but I was unable to find better value than the deal offered by Howdens.
Review of Aviva
I find house & contents insurance pretty confusing, questions posed ask for the value of property, rebuilding cost, total value of contents, of specified individual items over a certain amount, of items to be insured away from home, etc. Can be mind boggling! The online form Aviva provided was clear & concise, I understood the implications of each section, so there was nothing omitted. Comparing other quotes, including that from present insurers, wasn't easy, because their terms were coached in legal jargon, less explanation provided, in short, less clarity.

Review of Beaverbrooks
Welcomed in store, given refreshments, altogether a very pleasant purchasing experience. I'd been sent a Gift Voucher as a valued customer, which meant a sizeable lump sum off my intended purchase, plus on making my purchase I was given another voucher for £250 off my next purchase. Worth mentioning that the two assistants I dealt with were both very knowledgeable and that made it easy to converse with them about the technical aspects of my purchase. One negative aspect was the fact that the doors of the store, (Bracknell) are kept permanently open. It was was fairly chilly in the store, the staff said they got cold at times. Apparently it's thought that the doors being open presents a more inviting entry, that when they were closed some customers thought they were automatic doors, and when they didn't open they didn't come in. Whatever the reason, it doesn't seem conducive to the best customer experience (nor is it very fair on the staff), to enter a luxury store and find it cold inside. It's November now! The Bracknell store opens into the street. Contrast this with the Guildford store (which may adopt the same policy, I don't know), which opens into an indoor shopping parade.
Review of Motolegends
Visited Motolegends for the first time in a long while, probably since covid, so I was surprised to find that the same arrangements were in place as far as entry was concerned - you wait to be invited in and customers are looked after on a 1:1 basis. I was given the assistance I needed to make my purchase, and given a lovely cup of coffee with a biscuit while I waited! You can't get better than that!
Review of Titan Garden Buildings
Welcomed at the premises, provided with a hot drink, given all the relevant information we required in order to choose our shed and make our purchase. Arrangements regarding manufacture, delivery and erection were first rate and everything went as smoothly as clockwork. Build quality is excellent.

Offered competitive rates and advantages compared with other such schemes. Unable to give a thorough review until such time as I actually NEED their services though - that will be the tester!

Review of Saal Digital UK
The albums are very well designed and printed, software is intuitive, printing is very fast and delivery was speedy too. The full price of a large album is expensive, I created my album and "sat on it" for months before taking the plunge and having it printed. My decision was prompted by the offer of a full 50% off. Still costly but I guess if you compared it to the cost of buying numerous rolls of film, having the pictures developed & printed, buying a photo-album and mounting them in it, the cost may well be more, and not look nearly as professional. Of course these days it's far more likely images would have been taken on digital media, but you'd still have to have them printed etc., and let's face it, a professionally printed album looks so much more impressive.

Review of CameraWorld
The item I purchased was cheaper at CameraWorld than any of the other dealers, & included an additional discount for a first-time online purchase. It arrived safely within a very short period of time, so a successful purchase, A1 thanks!
Review of Findmypast
Love the site but I've been waiting & waiting for activation of a feature that would allow me to share my Tree with trusted family members, (view only) as stated on the website. Should be simple enough & it's very frustrating not being anle to share it (choice between them having to create account/log in/7 days/deceased only - or trusting them with log in details!

Review of Snapfish.co.uk
I don't use anyone other than Snapfish for my prints and enlargements. Navigating the website is easy, and receipt of my order is always pretty speedy.
Review of NITE Watches
Generally pleased with watch, (Alpha), it is somewhat thick, but not overly. Sizing as usual, proving problematic. Opted for no alteration, that turned out to be far too long as straps always are. Took it to my jewellers who took 3 links out, tried it but it's proving too tight so got to a link restored. The glow at night is brilliant.

Very good service and good prices for the products they sell. Free parking immediately outside the premises, so no having to find a parking place and/or walk very far with your purchase.

Review of MyBuilder
I needed some work doing on the house and didn't have a clue how to find someone capable & willing to do the work. I'd already been let down once by a couple of local "handymen". I described the work necessary on MyBuilder, and almost immediately had a couple of handymen contact me, one of whom was local and could do the work more or less straight away. The work was completed and i now have the details of someone I can rely on to do more work in the future. I doubt I'd have found him were it not for MyBuilder.
Review of Toolstation
Helpful knowledgeable service, item required was in stock, purchase was completed swiftly without any problem arising. Discounted price more competitive than at other local stores. At the Haslemere branch I could also park right outside, so 10/10 for convenience too.
Review of Cartridge Save
Ordered two lots of ink for my Canon printer, easy to find on website, cheaper than Currys/PC World, AND it included free next-day delivery! Arrive next day they did! Impressive, - and a happy customer.
Review of Abitto WorldWide
Review would have been 5 Stars had it not been for a bit of a mix-up! Ordered a tweed suit which arrived impressively packed, the jacket & waistcoat fitting perfectly. The trousers however, were of a very fashionable, slim-fit which didn't suit my gentlemanly stature as a 71 yr. old, so I returned them, asking for a wider fitting in the legs. I'd phoned first and spoke to a lady named Chrissy, who assured me they'd be able to address my requirements. Here's where the hic-up occurred; I waited a week/ten days & the replacement trousers didn't arrive, so I contacted Chrissy again at Abitto's exchange depot in Cardiff, who initially informed me that the original trousers hadn't been received back. I asked her to check further, & to cut a long story short, they HAD been received, but the exchange not actioned. She promised she'd sort the matter out, - she did, and within 2 days I received the replacement trousers which fitted perfectly. Chrissy was lovely to deal with and calmed me in the face of frustration & adversity! And I finally had my suit, which is excellent and was very good value.

Review of Ernest Jones
Reluctantly ordered a new watch online - (nothing quite compares to seeing a selection in person, trying one on, to ensure comfort, size & fit). With lock-down that wasn't possible so I spent ages deliberating over my choice. Some retailers offered a free watch roll but others, such as EJ, offered a 10%discount on the first purchase, and I considered that the better deal for me. I noticed that some models were out of stock, I was also concerned that prices might rise, so rather than wait I decided to make a choice & order online, knowing however, that the watch would undoubtedly be far too loose on my wrist & I wouldn't be able to wear it until the shops re-open & I can take it in to have some links removed. The online purchase was simple, and I received my discount having earlier applied to receive a newsletter from EJ. P&P was free, and it was delivered securely by courier the very next day. Pleased with my chosen watch, it was a very good deal as I could easily have paid full price had I bought elsewhere. Of course as expected, it's made for a HUGE wrist and I can't wear it for the time-being: I'm looking forward to visiting my local branch of EJ to have the strap shortened, which I'm told they'll do for free for 30 days after the stores reopen.
