I called them twice to let the driver know that they should call my phone when they arrive. Both times they said I should call them back when tracking on website says “Out for Delivery”. I was keep waiting for this status until I suddenly saw “Delivery was attempted”!
I’m so furious to have to keep waiting on this. I cancelled all my plans for the past two days.
UPS is the worst! And sometimes customer service is rude!
This is the last time I use UPS. I’ll never ever order via UPS again!
However if you are unemployed and have nothing to do outside and are hanging at your home door all day this is a great courier for you.
The worst courier service I ever came across. Most of the customer care people don’t even know their job. After speaking to nearly 10 different customer support people and repeatedly asking them similar questions which was answered differently. One of them even Iasked me to google check the meaning of some Hormuz code. I was very clear from day one that the package contains chocolates and clothes and soup packets and tinned fish. And that they are all gifts from my family and friends and NOT FOR SALE because my flight was cancelled due to gulf war. And none of them suggested me to fill the form differently or maybe make small packages. And when the package was sent to the receiving country and was kept on hold at the customs. UPS COURIER conveniently asked me to deal with the customs overseas. Seriously? And after repeatedly talking to them over the phone and through mails they took an around a month to tell me that I have to pay customs fees which was almost as much as the shipping fee. And as if this was not enough , when the package was released from the customs department the delivery to the address takes 24 hours but UPS took a week to reach the package to the address. So more than a month. And thanks to the incompetent service the chocolates which were worth around €200 were spoiled and had to be thrown away. So because of UPS I lost my money and goods too.
And the funniest part is I am still to pay them plus €12 for some pending charges.
So please think before you use the UPS service. My money is not hard earned. Theirs is, that is why they are keeping on sending me letters and emails to clear the pending payment.
NEVER AGAIN USE UPS !
Never again will I use UPS, they hold my parcels and every day find different excuses or use the same one. UPS from over a week didn't try to attempt delivery and I was already 3 times in 3 different days on the phone with customer service ... over a week later I'm still waiting for parcels.
Advice for everyone: Save your time and avoid frustration and use a different company but NOT UPS !!!
If I could give zero stars I would, placed an order last Thursday, paid 10 euro for next day delivery, it’s now Tuesday and still
No delivery here !! The excuses are ridiculous, ‘wrong billing address’, ‘delivered to the wrong depot’, just zero accountability, a very poorly organised company and the reviews speak for theirselves, will actively be avoiding ups wherever possible going forward, an absolutely joke of a company.
Followed the tracking on their site and saw it was due to be delivered on the 7th. Submitted a delivery change for the 10th - got the e-mail saying the change had gone through. Got another e-mail on the 9th saying the package would be arriving "the next day". So I checked the tracker Monday the 10th and the parcel never even left the depot. This is the second time this year and about the fifth time I've gotten parcels from UPS, all delivered after PROMISED AND BOOKED dates. Absolute JOKE!!! And the website "Help Service" is even more of a joke. Cop on UPS.
Update Aug 11th: Checked the tracking again and now the parcel is showing as back in the Corbeil-Essones depot...again. It was in the Finglas depot, now it's back in France.
UPS is absolutely shite. Nothing ever seems to get delivered properly, and when something inevitably goes wrong, their customer service is somehow even worse. You’re left dealing with an AI robot on chat or on the phone that gets absolutely nothing resolved and just sends you in circles.
It’s genuinely impressive how difficult UPS makes something as basic as delivering a parcel. Completely useless from start to finish. Avoid if you have any choice.
Spoke to a young lady called Sophie. Curt, unhelpful and robotic. Could not help me, didn't seem to want to.
Was told as the 3rd party service had not provided a specific number, she could not help me, despite having all the other numbers, emails, etc.
"Can't help" on repeat is not a great customer service experience.
UPS Ireland are the only courier company that I dred getting packages from. The driver refuses to call, even though they have your number, they just do attempted deliveries and return it to sender. Their app doesn't function properly in Ireland, redelivery and collection points don't work. The Customer Service is outsourced. Customer service told me a package was ready for collection at an access point, the driver ignored them and returned to sender. Please avoid UPS (in Ireland) if you can. I wish I could give them zero stars, they are the only company who motivate me to warn other people about their terrible service.
I waited at the gate, knowing that UPS needed the passcode for it to open. For some reason, I tried to send them the code for the gate, but the website and apps weren't responding or working, which is annoying for other people to use.
I waited and saw the van outside the gate. I thought I'd wait for them to come to the gate to check if anyone was there, but they just drove away. It's really unprofessional of them.
The next day, I left the gate open for the whole afternoon. I got a message that they "attempted to deliver," but the tracker said that my gate was closed.
They should have called the receiver when they are arrived with the package to make things easier
An absolute joke of a company. I regularly buy from a company in Portugal and unfortunately they use UPS for delivery. Once again after they received my parcel before the bank holiday, it still hasn’t been delivered because as a logistics company they can’t correctly read an address ! Every time it says there’s an issue with my address and delays the delivery. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my address. If they can’t decipher a simple eircode to check that it is indeed the correct address then as a logistics company they should be closed down. This has happened 6 times now despite my many complaints and them assuring me it won’t happen again! But it happens time and time and time again! Do us all a favour and close your doors. I’ve just received an update that although they have had since the morning of Thursday 30th it’s now not being delivered until the 6th !! It only took 4 days for them to receive it from Portugal
I am absolutely furious with UPS Ireland.
On 4 August, I stayed at home waiting for two separate parcels, both sent through UPS Express Saver and both involving additional express-delivery charges. UPS confirmed that the parcels were out for delivery, so I arranged my entire day around receiving them.
No UPS driver came to the property. Nobody knocked, called my telephone or made any genuine attempt to deliver either parcel. Nevertheless, at 14:26, the tracking was updated to state:
“Delivery Attempted – The receiver was not available for delivery.”
I was at home the entire time. I had even placed a large, clearly visible notice at the entrance asking the driver to call me or leave the parcels securely over the gate. Anyone who had genuinely approached the property would have seen it.
This is not the first time UPS Ireland has done this to me. During a previous express delivery, UPS marked my valid address as incorrect, recorded an address change that I had never requested and claimed that delivery attempts had been made when nobody had come. That parcel arrived two days late, and I eventually had to travel to the UPS Customer Centre twice before I could collect it myself.
Customers should not have to sacrifice an entire day waiting for a delivery, only for UPS to record a supposed attempt that never happened. It is even more unacceptable when customers have paid extra for an express service.
Unfortunately, I was not given any choice over which courier would handle these parcels. Had I been able to choose, I would have selected An Post or DPD, both of which have been far more reliable in my experience.
UPS Ireland needs to investigate these so-called delivery attempts and stop treating customers’ time as though it has no value. I paid extra for express delivery, waited all day for two parcels and was then blamed for supposedly being unavailable. This is completely unacceptable.
This company is a joke.
Got a package from the UK, got hit with import charges (happy now, yeah?).
When the UPS clown arrived at the door, I told him to send the parcel back. 5 phone calls and 3 emails, 3 weeks later, these clowns finally sent the parcel back to the UK. Now they are hitting the seller with the Irish VAT charges! Absolute clowns.
Seller and I keep sending them emails and calling. Nothing.
Very disappointing experience. My package arrived with a large hole in the box, and several leather buckles were missing. The package had clearly been tampered with during transport. I was contacted by phone only once. Apart from that, I received no further updates, no text messages, and no notification letters in my mailbox. I expected much better communication, care, and security from UPS. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.
You expect clients to be home all day, without given notice or even a time frame for the delivery.
Poor service, wouldn’t recommend to anyone. It’s been years and they haven’t updated their system . I mean we are in the middle of AI revolution…
UPS are the new Fastways courier ....... Constantly rescheduling and never on time delivery...... Rapidly becoming what Fastways couriers were before they imploded..... God forbid you might need the delivery urgently
My parcel with tracking number 1Z02C2436815041757 is stuck in a frustrating delivery loop. It keeps moving back and forth between different sorting centers instead of coming to my address
Yet again, Shipment is delayed for no reason. I think it’s running at being delayed every single time now. I can’t remember it ever arriving in expected date. Having a poor service is one thing but then compounded by the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Your choices are a really unhelpful bot or waiting for 20 minutes to speak to someone who doesn’t speak English and is rarely helpful. Why do companies use UPS for deliveries? Are they really cheap. I try to avoid any shops who deliver using UPS.
delivery on time per tracking driver helpful and pleasant not had them deliver often but no complaints
Terrible customer service, the driver didn’t even bother calling , I was told my eircode was wrong i never put that eircode ,instead of calling me they decided to leave it as it is .I spoke to 2 agents giving me different information and promising to deliver my package within 24 hours then someone else calls again telling me that those customer service agents don’t know whats happening in the warehouse so my package might have been shipped back to the sender ,this company lacks customer service and communication, very disappointing. Unprofessional
Appalling inefficient service. Delivery attempted without any prior notice. Delivery the rescheduled to the next day. Spent the whole day waiting at home. According to online tracking and the chat bot the package was still at the depot. However, over the phone 4 different customer service agents told me it was out for delivery. Spoiler, there was no further delivery attempt. Delivery team did not call me as requested. I can’t understand why a courier service cannot provide delivery updates or a delivery window. They would prefer to not communicate to the receiver at all and attempt delivery multiple times. How is this an efficient use of resources not to mind the recipient’s time. If I could, I would avoid using any services that use UPS.
