After a previous bad experience, I had left a negative review and honestly wasn’t sure I wanted to deal with J.J. Burke Car Sales again. However, they reached out to me personally and asked me to come in to discuss everything, which I really appreciated.

From the moment I met Yordan, my whole experience changed. He was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. He made the entire process completely stress-free, kept me informed every step of the way, and handled everything in such a professional, friendly, and honest manner. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he genuinely went above and beyond to make sure I was happy.

Thanks to Yordan, I collected my new car feeling confident and excited. He completely restored my faith in the dealership, and I can’t thank him enough for everything he did.

If you’re thinking of buying a car from J.J. Burke Car Sales, I would highly recommend asking for Yordan personally. His customer service is second to none, and he truly made what could have been a stressful experience an enjoyable one.

Got a car with them one month ago. Dacia Logan. Staff was nice. After 4 weeks i came back with a problematic repair. My car wouldnt start. The batery was fine, alternator was fine, they did temporary fix on ignition and told me that the car will be driving. After picking up the car i went to my car mechanic to check that. Despite warranty i repair the car on my own because they cant see the problem. This is ny imagination that i cant start the car. I will never buy with them again. They kept the car few days "repairing" it. Still the same when i pick it up, i just lost few days at work

My car is in the service department since 16th January 2026. My Car is still not fixed. Won't ring me when they promise. Promised a replacement car as the car can't be repaired.

Recently purchased a 3 year old Hyundai Tuscon from JJ Burkes. I dealt with Ed from the sales department and I have to say he is not only a great sales person but also very helpful with aftersales service.
I was unlucky to have a few problems with the car but these have been sorted by JJ Burkes under the Hyundai warrany with Hyundai in Galway..Ed organised a courtesy car for me from JJ Burkes and was always on the end of the phone when I called about the delay with the part from Hyundai.
I found all the staff to be very kind and courteous at all times.

I’m very disheartened I originally wrote a positive review but the all the problems seem to start from service issues and them telling us they had a part ordered and weeks later we discovered it wasn’t they wouldn’t answer the phone to us this went on for two years I had spoken to one of the managers who assured me he would get to the bottom of it all and said he would think about what her could offer as compensation and call me back in a couple of weeks I’ve heard nothing since that’s nearly one year ago now, I think the way customers are treated after buying a car and giving over their hard earned money is appalling it literally takes a few minutes to call someone back, I was going to just forget about it when I got talking to two women from Ballinrobe and they said the company had gone down hill over the last few years and I wasn’t the first and most likely won’t be the last.

Great experience with Yordan and JJ Burke. He made the whole experience fun and stress-free. I dallied with another make for 5 years, but pleased to be back with Dacia. Yordan did me a good deal and I'm delighted with my new Stepway! Keep them coming Dacia and see you again @ JJ Burke.

I bought an immaculate 2023 Dacia Duster from JJ Burke Car Sales. They represented the best value for me, enough to travel from Dublin to Mayo to purchase the car. The whole process was made so easy by Yordan and also Mary in the accounts department. So nice to deal with straightforward, honest people. Yordan could not have been more helpful from start to finish. Hands down the best salesperson I have ever encountered. I also got a good vibe from everyone I met in the business, from the receptionist, to other salespeople, to the mechanic who helped me out with a issue with the car i was trading in. I would highly recommend checking out JJ Burke if you are thinking of buying a quality car. 10 out of 10 service.

I have nothing but praise for this company whom I recently purchased car from especially the sales executive Yordan Yordanov who was so professional and went above and beyond to make this experience so positive.

From the onset Yordan in sales was absolutely incredible to deal with. He was extremely efficient, understanding and organised. He followed up on any query I had and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with every aspect of my purchase. So refreshing to deal with somebody who deals with everything in a timely manner and is clearly very dedicated to his role as part of the sales team at JJ Burkes. Carl in the service dept was also outstanding to deal with. Again, he dealt with everything so quickly and made sure I was up to speed at all stages of the process. He was also very friendly and understanding. Even in the showroom, the welcome the children and I recieved was second to none. There tea and coffee making facilities with seating and play area ensured the children had a wonderful experience and again all the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful which makes all the difference.They really went above and beyond for us. I genuinely could not speak highly enough of the team at JJ Burkes, they were just exceptional to deal with and I will be sure to return to them for any future custom, alongside telling friends and family what a pleasure it was to do business with them.

Collected my Sandero Stepway today. It was my first time dealing with JJ Burke Car Sales. The whole experience from test drive to purchase was seamless all thanks to Yordan in Sales and Mary in Accounts. I was kept fully informed and updated over the last few weeks. From the minute you step into the showroom you are at ease. All of the staff I came into contact with, whilst busy, took the the time to engage, were cordial and professional. met with Liam the sales person he sat me down and asked what i had in mind after i told him i was shown a duster that they just got in .He was able to answer all the questions and concerns i had and put my mind at ease .I picked the car up today the 15of may and i cant rate Liam or the service that i got any higher cause it wont let me give any more then 5stars so top marks and thanks Liam from picking out to pick up the service was excellent

Will Never deal with this "garage" again. If anyone has any sense they will never set foot in this place, from the salesman not doing the finance correctly to the workshop lying about sending reports to the manufacturer that there is a problem with what was a brand new car when I bought 2 years ago to still having issues with them still not sending documents to the manufacturer that they were asked to send for the past 6 weeks and when you ring to speak with the person you want they NEVER answer or ring back.

So please to whom ever reads this DONT deal with these persons

We cannot recommend this place enough. Our experience from start to finish was a pure joy, and made so easy by all the friendly, trustworthy, informed, and helpful staff. We felt welcomed and in safe hands. They have very high standards, and will not release a car until it is fully valeted, in pristine condition, and the aftercare is superb. They are not looking for the quick sale, but pride themselves on returning customers.

A special mention to Ryno who looked after us throughout the process. He was beyond helpful, honest, respectful, and straight to the point. A car enthusiast. He is a truly genuine person wanting the best for his clients.

We have without doubt found our dealership for life.

The car is lovely, thank you so much. Luke is an obliging, very professional person, a pleasure to deal with. Customer service and price offered for a trade in is the best you will find in the country - I know because I looked ... I tried Wexford, Cork and Limerick and JJ Burke had the best new car price and offered me the best price by a mile on my 14 month old trade in, much more than any other Dealership. I was delighted to drive to Mayo and you can trust these people to treat you fairly.

I was not keen on a grey car, but this pale unusual colour is really growing on me. As Luke said "it's not grey, it's "Moon glow". Lol. He's right, moonglow is much nicer than grey or silver. The car actually looks very smart and the colour is sophisticated. I love the white raised lettering on the back.

I am deeply disappointed with the Peugeot Partner van I purchased for my business in July 2021. Despite the fact that the timing chain is supposed to last the lifetime of the vehicle, it broke after only 80k miles (130km) on the clock. This was the main reason I chose this model, as it had a chain and not a timing belt.

The customer service experience from both the dealer and manufacturer has been beyond disappointing. After the van had to be towed to the nearest garage to determine the issue, Peugeot refused to in any way resolve the issue or meet half way in providing the parts at cost price considering the fault was on a known issue and a part not meant to fail. The cost to fix the issue was an exorbitant €1800.

It is frustrating to learn that the issue was known to Peugeot, as the replacement part was a modified 9mm chain rather than the 7mm chain originally fitted, indicating a design flaw. Despite this knowledge, Peugeot still failed to compensate for the issue.

Peugeot's refusal to take responsibility for the timing chain issue was compounded by the fact that they cited the fact that the van had been worked on by the garage it was towed to, as a reason for not offering any support. It is important to emphasise that this step was necessary to determine the problem and was beyond my control. However, Peugeot still chose not to provide any assistance or support in this matter. This level of inconsideration and lack of accountability is simply unacceptable.

It is clear that Peugeot don't value customer satisfaction and loyalty. Knowing that a lifetime part has failed after only 2 years, and with the problem occurring in other vans with a modified part, they still chose not to support their customers.

If your thinking of buying a van, I strongly advise you to reconsider purchasing a Peugeot and to take my experience as a warning. The lack of support and care for their customers is simply unacceptable. They didn't even want to talk about a replacement van while my business van was off the road for this period.

There were other poor levels of service and response from JJ burkes in the 10 days I was dealing with this included refusing to provide a contact name or email address for who they spoke to in Peugeot head office quoting data protection when this business to business information is not under the remit of GDRP. This further frustrated the process only providing the main switchboard number and having to explain the previous week's correspondence again. Again completely unnecessary and poor level of service.

I will be taking my business elsewhere and will be advising others to do the same. I will be looking towards more reliable and customer service-focused companies such as Toyota or Citroen.

It is a shame that a company would rather lose future sales and positive reviews than to make an effort to rectify their mistakes.
