People frequently expressed deep frustration regarding the complete absence of responsive customer support and the extreme difficulty of ever speaking to a human agent when encountering issues. Consumers noted that unhelpful automated systems, endless verification loops, and repetitive messaging only added to their annoyance when trying to resolve problems. However, some people mentioned that their long-standing personal or business accounts were suddenly blocked, suspended, or permanently disabled without any clear explanations provided. Shoppers and users also stated encountering major hurdles with payment processing errors, strict transaction limits, and persistent technical glitches across the platform.

Attempting to speak with a live agent

Attempting to speak with a live customer support agent brings me to an ai service that repeatedly says "no agents are available right now" no matter at what time it is asked to speak to a live agent or to have someone contact us.
This company must have fired most if not all of their support team and replaced it with AI

I bought some META smart glasses but they were anything but smart, tried and tried for two weeks to get them to work with the app, all I kept getting is a blank screen after signing up with them.

It took ages to get the things up and running but of course that didn't last long as after a short while the app stopped working. Even after several re attempts of installing it and restarting the phone etc no luck.

Also they are crap to set up, I can't get past the Tap on the Fury tab to get into the app, so lucky for me I can still return them to Amazon. Dont buy direct from META as they mess you about with refunds so I am told. Also they are part of Facebook? Heck if I had known that would not have bought them I gave up with Facebook years ago nothing but trouble on there.

Absolutely horrific. Decades of memories gone overnight.

Out of nowhere, my personal Facebook account was disabled for "violating community standards." I haven’t posted anything controversial in years! There is literally no way to get ahold of a real human being to appeal this. You just get stuck in an endless loop with their useless AI chatbot that feeds you the same generic Help Center articles. Years of family photos, memories, and connections are just gone. Meta is a complete joke and they do not care about their users at all. 1 star is too generous.

honestly no point keep adding on the negative, since they clearly do not care or make any effort, so I will vent just for the sake of venting. My FB account enforced automatically 2FA, the problem is that I never activated. I can't login because I don't have any authenticator set-up. So the most reasonable thing is to contact support right? WRONG, at least with META, after sending my passport and making 100 hops to show them I am the actual owner of the account, they let me in pending verification for months. No answers and no way to appeal again via any automation, because my case is still pending. I gave up on my old FB account and when I tried to create a new one...I am not able to, because they think I am trying to impersonate myself (the original account).

I recently ordered Rayban meta glasses

I recently ordered Rayban meta glasses. These were never delivered and DPD have confirmed delivery doesnt meet their compliance but Meta have to raise this as the contract is with them. Meta do not want to help and keep referring me back to DPD. After advice from Consumer direct Scotland they have informed me that DPD are right and this sits with META to resolve even though it looks like theft from DPD. Meta do not have an escalation route and unwilling to help.

Meta

Meta, including Facebook and Instagram will make you edit your comment if you call out a man for misogyny. You will not be permitted to make this comment. But interestingly enough, Meta WILL allow men to call women c#nts, b#tches and a whole slew of other unsavory names. Meta will also allow men to make death threats to women and this doesn't violate their community standards!! WOW!! Zuckerberg is a giant turd.

Extremely disappointing experience

Extremely disappointing experience. My Facebook account, which I had used for over 5 years, was suddenly disabled without any clear explanation or warning. I received no email explaining what happened, and once the account was disabled, there was no practical way to speak to a real person or properly appeal the decision.

What makes this even more concerning is that social media and online forums appear to be flooded with reports from other long-standing Facebook users describing the exact same experience — accounts that are years old being suddenly disabled, no clear reason being provided, and users struggling to find any functioning way to appeal or reach support.

At this point, it is difficult not to question whether there is a systemic problem or error with Meta’s automated enforcement systems. When large numbers of genuine, long-standing users are reporting the same issue, Meta should be investigating the underlying problem rather than leaving people without answers.

Years of personal memories, photos, conversations, events and connections can disappear from someone’s access in an instant. If an account has genuinely violated a policy, users should be told what happened and given a fair opportunity to have the decision reviewed.

Automated enforcement with no explanation and virtually no accessible support is unacceptable.

Meta needs to take these reports seriously, investigate whether there is a systemic error, and provide real human review and accessible appeals for legitimate users who believe their accounts have been disabled incorrectly.

1 star until Meta provides its users with a fair, transparent and functioning support and appeal process.

FB Acc Locked out.

Out of nowhere, suddenly, Meta is asking me to send my personal ID, like a driver's license or passport, again to verify myself after I did it 3 months ago, but this time is different: every time I upload my precious document, for 3 consecutive times, their stupid AI says the info I sent doesn't match my FB account. They are fined $18B in America. Perhaps they should be fined here in Australia too for selling our data and information to 3rd party. All my family photos and family and relatives' contact details are gone. I regret storing 16 years of data, photos with them are gone forever. should someone organise a group class action against Meta Please.

Zuckerberg is a criminal

Zuckerberg is a criminal! I deactivated the ad, and Meta reactivated it without my permission, and then increased the value without my permission, and kept stealing money from my bank account every single day. I hope Zuckerberg goes to jail and rots there for the rest of his life, and dies there. A total piece of a shit! Him and his team are worse than rats.

Banned my WhatsApp account for NO REASON after I made a family group chat and sent a photo of my lunch. There is no customer support whatsoever and their AI keeps sending incoherent answers to whatever concern I have. This is the worst customer support I have ever seen. My boyfriend had a similar issue, they locked him out of his own Instagram account after a hacker took over his account and he reset his password. He only got it back after a month and no matter how many ways we tried to reach a human being at Meta to help with this, there was just no way whatsoever. The most disgusting company I can think of.

They are pathetic

They are pathetic

Tried for two weeks to gain access to the business portfolio holding my page. They will tell you that they will send you request to their "internal team" and then close the chat without explaining what happened or why your request didnt go through. I have never had a worse experiance with a support service in my life and I wouldnt wish this experiance on my worst enemy.

If you are considering asking for their help on anything your better off figuring it out yourself.

After I was hacked…

After I was hacked, Meta simply ignored me. Even when you subscribe to Meta verified, their support is the WORST thing I ever had: incompetence at the highest level, they show no interest at at all in your issue, not even to help you download your media from your previous blocked/ hacked/suspended account. They behave live pure EVIL. I explained and did more selfie videos, open to show them who I was and that I had nothing to do with my account being hacked and all the content they sent through my account, Meta just doesn’t give a sh…about their users. Years of video editing from my live music performances, GONE! They can’t even help recovering my videos, that is even the worst part! All they do is report you to the police if bad content is sent through hour account and even after you try to show them this had nothing to do with you, they just don’t care, they are useless, incompetent and incapable of being professional or even human to help their customers/ users!! I stopped social media because of these parasites of our society.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would! What despicable customer service! I bought meta rayban glasses and was using them with no problems on my holiday of a lifetime in Bali. Then after using them at a beach club with permission from the venue I had a message saying my account had been suspended due to child abuse, sexual exploitation or nudity! I logged an appeal assuming that AI had interpreted people in bathing suits as nudity. It also blocked my facebook and instagram accounts by association. It said we will review your account and you will receive a response within two days, ha! 20 days and 13 emails to support later and I am still no further ahead! They literally don’t care about customer service at all, it’s all about making money!

A broken system with no human support

A broken system with no human support

I have spent more than two hours trying to resolve a restriction on my advertising account. Meta’s system verifies the account, confirms that the restrictions have been lifted, and then suspends the same account again almost immediately. This cycle has repeated several times.

I carefully reviewed Meta’s advertising rules and found no policy violation. If Meta believes otherwise, it provides no clear, account-specific explanation.

The worst part is that it is impossible to contact a human. Every support route leads back to the same AI assistant, generic articles and automated decisions. The problem appears to come from Meta’s own inconsistent systems, yet the customer is left to waste hours trying to correct it without any meaningful assistance.

For a company that takes money from advertisers, providing no accessible human support when its own system malfunctions is unacceptable.
