The link device function has been declining…
The link device function has been horrible and declining in recent months, saying I was linked to 4 devices, which is totally nonsense.
While I was registering in I selected…
While I was registering in I selected my date of birth mind you I am old enough to have WhatsApp and it said error it kept saying this I selected customer assistance and still had no way to fix it
After nearly 15 years WhatsApp have…
After nearly 15 years WhatsApp have blocked my account following purchase of a meta headset and my son's meta horizon account being linked to my WhatsApp.
I've verified my age on facebook as requested however WhatsApp have had my account blocked since 18th July. This has caused me so much anxiety as I'm blocked out of historic messages and pictures and relatives abroad can no longer contact me and I've missed work and school messages sent in the groups I am locked out of.
From the reviews on this site I do t think this review will get me anywhere with retrieving my account but it may help other people who purchase meta headset to understand it will be linked to your WhatsApp and Facebook. Be very careful.
People need to understand what is going…
People need to understand what is going on here. It began as outsourcing/offshoring, which sounds innocent enough. But over time, foreign countries are using their dominance over tech companies to wage a kind of war against us. You might think it is simply poor customer service, but hostile foreign nations are using these tactics to destroy our way of life. And it is working. It isn't just this company which is doing it, either.
the quality that upsets me…
As a product of a "reputable" software company, this app/service is painfully low quality. Unreliable, difficult to use.
For the plus side, it works sometimes. It is the quality that upsets me.
Voice message constantly stops playing through loud speaker when moving the phone!!!
I love whatsapp for voice messaging - however, why the hell is all this fancy update for names and ai being added to the app when really the company should be updating the user experience instead - for example: we should be able to turn off the proximity sensor that whatsapp uses through our phone hardware!! If I am listening to a voice message which is always on loud speaker, I shouldn’t have to keep my phone a certain way to stop it randomly going to my ear speaker in my phone just because I picked my phone up to take with me while I am listening to the voice message!!! There should be a manual option for loud speaker or ear speaker not just automatic!!! We have this for phone calls so why on Earth is it not the same for voice messages!!!!!!????? Heavily frustrating indeed!!!!!!!!
Whatsapp last update on September 1st…
Whatsapp last update on September 1st just made so I can't download or up date it as it takes more memory then my phone has. so stupid
So I have to buy a new just for Whatsapp I think I will pass
WhatsApp is making me lose customers
WhatsApp keeps telling me that I am in violation of your Terms of Service, and today my account has been suspended again. This is now the 5th or 6th time this has happened.
Every time, I have to submit a review and wait for my account to be restored. In the meantime, I lose contact with clients and potentially lose business. This is having a serious impact on me professionally.
What is extremely frustrating is that I am unable to speak to a real person who can explain exactly why my account keeps being suspended and what I need to do to prevent this from happening again.
The automated AI review process is not resolving the underlying problem. I need to speak to a human representative who can properly investigate my account, explain what is causing these repeated suspensions, and help me resolve the issue permanently.
I am asking WhatsApp to please escalate this matter to a human support agent. I need to understand exactly what I am doing that is allegedly violating the Terms of Service so that I can correct it and continue using WhatsApp without repeatedly losing access to my clients and business contacts.
Please do not simply restore my account again without investigating the reason for these repeated suspensions. I need a permanent solution.
Please give me a solution for this.
I created a new account using WhatsApp. Then I have a lot of friends. I added them. When I was adding about 50, it said this account can't use WhatsApp. Then I ignored it. It went away within 24 hours. I ignored it and tried again. Then it crashed again. After that, I can't add about 5 or 10 friends. That message keeps crashing again. Now I can't add even two or three people. That message keeps coming back. Please do something about this.
It looks like I am not the only one who…
It looks like I am not the only one who thinks what’s app is unsafe. I have had multiple messages on my account that make no sense. I am almost certain meta via what’s app has stolen the little data I have left. What’s app also has stored messages which I cannot erase - I’ve tried for over three months. I think meta should use tax breaks to fix issues or just not exist.
The most useless app I've encountered…
The most useless app I've encountered since apps were invented. I have it on my phone, and whenever I try to link it to another device - PC or tablet, using their app - the account is placed under review, during which time I can't use it, without explanation. There is no customer support as such, just what seems to be a beta version of 1st-generation AI. Don't waste your time.
Useless
Useless, I have an I Pad and older mobile phone. You can't just have 1 device, you need to scan your I Pad to a QR Code on your phone. If you have an older phone you can't use them.
Gosh the automated block is so frustrating
Gosh It's so frustrating. The automated flagging just keeps blocking my account for apparently no reason and you can't just do anything regarding it. They ask you to submit an appeal and after that nothing, you don't know what's the status and etc and when you email them, they just reply with the generic bot message. Literally a trash app and a trash customer support.
18 years on WhatsApp, permanently banned with no explanation
I've had the same phone number for over 18 years. I use it for my personal life, my business, my clients, everything.
On August 15 WhatsApp suddenly permanently banned my account. No warning. No explanation of what I supposedly did wrong.
Since then I've contacted support again and again trying to understand what happened. Every single time I get another automated AI response telling me to request a review — something I've already done. There is seemingly no way to speak to an actual human at WhatsApp.
This is honestly insane for a service people depend on every day.
Maybe I did something wrong without realizing it. Fine. Tell me what I did. Let me fix it. But permanently banning an 18-year-old account and then giving the person no explanation and no real human to speak to is ridiculous.
I never thought I could simply wake up one day and lose WhatsApp permanently with basically nobody to talk to.
Absolutely terrible customer support.
Do NOT build your business around WhatsApp. It can destroy your operation overnight.
I trusted WhatsApp with a major part of my business for years.
Thousands of customers around the world used WhatsApp to reach me. I also spent hundreds of thousands of dollars advertising through Meta, specifically generating leads that were sent to WhatsApp.
And after all of that?
WhatsApp can simply wake up one day and say:
“Permanently banned.”
No real explanation.
No human being to speak to.
No meaningful customer service.
No phone number.
No account manager who can actually fix anything.
Nothing.
This has happened to me multiple times.
Twice, my account was shut down and then restored about a week later. I was told it was basically an automated/AI error.
Think about how insane that is.
A business can lose access to thousands of customers because an algorithm makes a mistake, and WhatsApp apparently considers that acceptable.
This last time has been even worse. Permanently banned again, and there is basically nobody at WhatsApp who will actually speak to me and explain what I supposedly did.
I don’t send spam.
I don’t send mass broadcasts.
I don’t buy lists.
I was literally responding to people who requested information from me through my own Meta ads.
My account quality/rating was high. My customers weren’t the problem.
One Meta representative even suggested something absolutely ridiculous may have triggered it: I had poor internet service while responding to messages, so I answered around 15–20 customers. When the connection came back, the messages went through together and apparently the system may have interpreted that as spam.
Seriously?
You’re a messaging company.
Your system can’t tell the difference between messages being delivered after an internet connection returns and someone running a spam operation?
And then you permanently shut down someone’s business account because of it?
The part that makes me the angriest is the advertising.
Meta happily took hundreds of thousands of dollars from me to acquire leads and send those people to WhatsApp. Then WhatsApp shut down the exact communication channel Meta was charging me money to build.
So now many of those leads and customers can’t reach me through the platform I paid Meta to send them to.
Call it whatever corporate language you want.
From the business owner’s side, it feels like Meta took my money and then pulled the plug on what I paid for.
And there’s nobody accountable.
That is why I would tell every business owner:
DO NOT PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN WHATSAPP.
Own your email list.
Own your customer database.
Collect phone numbers.
Have another SMS provider.
Have another way for customers to contact you.
Because WhatsApp does not care how many years you’ve been using them, how much money you’ve spent with Meta, how many legitimate customers you have, or how badly a shutdown could damage your business.
An algorithm can apparently decide you’re done.
And when it happens, good luck finding an actual human being at WhatsApp who gives a shit.
WhatsApp is an incredibly unreliable platform to build a serious business around.
I learned that the hard way.
Use it as a tool. Never trust it as your business infrastructure.
Meta feel free to dm me if you want to fix my issues till then im posting this all over internet.
After 5 years using Whatsapp
After 5 years using Whatsapp, all of a sudden my number is blocked and I cannot use the app anymore.
The support is bloody useless and unresponsive, I will never use this app again.
Unfair Account Review and Terrible Customer Support
My experience with WhatsApp has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. My personal account was suddenly placed under review even though I have not intentionally violated any rules or used WhatsApp for spam.
Shortly before this happened, I was added without my consent to a large and suspicious group containing many phone numbers I did not recognize. I did not join this group voluntarily. My only reaction was sending “??” because I had no idea what the group was or why I had been added.
If this suspicious group triggered WhatsApp’s automated security system, then there is a serious problem. Legitimate users should not be punished because scammers or unknown individuals add them to groups without their permission.
What makes the situation even worse is the lack of accessible human customer support. WhatsApp is an essential communication service used by millions of people to stay in contact with family and friends, yet a legitimate user can suddenly lose access and be left waiting for an automated review with very little explanation.
I fully support efforts to stop scammers and spam, but those systems should protect innocent users, not potentially penalize them. Being locked out of my personal communications because of something completely outside my control is unacceptable.
WhatsApp needs better safeguards against unauthorized group additions, a more reliable review system, and most importantly, real human support for users whose accounts are incorrectly flagged.
Meta ruined WhatsApp..
