I always thought Free Now were a decent company, until Sunday. I was coming home from Dublin Airport and the fare quoted was ‘€41-€60’, so I went for that option.
It was 7am on a Sunday morning so there was absolutely no traffic, we got stuck at no lights, didn’t take the Port Tunnel or the M50, so no additional charges were incurred. When the driver dropped me off, the meter read €49. About an hour later, the email invoice came through saying it was €64.58. Naturally I disputed it - their customer support is non existent taking over 3 days to respond, and they responded saying they know it’s ‘frustrating’ but there’s ’nothing they can do’!! I’ve never heard such rubbish in my life. Instead of giving me any genuine reason saying why I was charged €15 more, they offered a voucher. I said I want the money back that I should never have had to pay for in the first place, not a lousy voucher. They didn’t even deny I was charged more for no valid reason. This is literally illegal as they have pretty much admitted I was charged €15 more for no reason but are claiming there’s nothing they can do.
Back to Uber fixed price taxis as this crowd are nothing but scamming robbers. Avoid at all costs.

Perfect service

I am an Admin on the Free Now Business portal. I need to hand the portal over to a colleague and the new colleague cannot access everything even though she is an Admin. I tried the Bot, who didn't bother responding! I looked for a phone number online but didn't find one. I called the Taxi phone number and was told they can't put me through and no, there is no number to call when you need help with the portal. Only via the web contact form. Beyond pathetic. Step up for your Business customers, Free Now.

It's very easy to book a taxi with the app. Taxi comes always on time

The booking process was easy and straightforward added to that was the smooth ride and the communication effectiveness with the driver telling me about her arrival shortly. And also the fees seemed to be transparent

I like knowing exactly what the vehicle looks like and who the driver is. I also appreciate the countdown as to how far away the driver is. I have used Freenow for the last two European trips and have had good experiences each time. The pricing is good and drivers have been courteous and knowledgeable of routes.

I got charged for a "toll route" when my ride was less than 10 minutes and there was no toll route at all. When I asked for a refund, they only offer a voucher. How can you take money from me and then you only offer me an option to spend that with the same company again, that's simply a scam.

I was charged 59.01 euros by Freenow for a trip to the airport that on the meter showed 37 euros. I’ve tried reaching out them but 3 weeks later I’m still getting excuses. It’s not the first time I was overcharged and not only that drivers that the long way around to try make a few more euros

it is a safe and fairly reliable transportation source, but I have frequently had trouble with drivers, not pulling up to the actual address that I entered in the order. I think that is the company’s fault not the drivers, but I don’t know for sure.

This app used to work wonderfully but over the last year service has dropped quite a bit.
Over my last 5 visits to Madrid, it takes a VERY long time for them to find a driver and not because it's raining or peak time, that I understand. I have literally sat there waiting and waing for the message saying looking for driver and I am seeing dozens of available taxis driving by.
Today was the worst, I made a reservation for a particular time the night before and 2 minutes before the pick up time they sent me a message saying they can't find a driver. I took two steps to the curb and hailed a taxi in seconds.
Something is not working here!
FREENOW is no longer my first option.
