Tracking status is useless
Eventually arrived
Absolutely shocking communication. No access to a UK based human to discuss issues. Obviously, Yodel are aware of their shortcomings as there is very little social media presence outside of X, the UK call number is 100% automated with no access to a human and no way to speak to one, and the online chat is based abroad and they claim to have no access to anything else other than the tracking link that you (eventually) get.
As a result, go for ANYONE else buy Yodel. Seriously, camel, passing hitchhiker, bottle in the ocean, throwing it over a wall... all have a significantly greater chance of a prompt delivery.
Well that didnt last long. Now the status is again showing "Short delay"
What a joke
MIRACULOUSLY THE DELIVERY DATE IS NOW SHOWING TOMORROW, but there is no confirmation anywhere except for this change. As I have zero faith that Yodel actually have the parcel and are merely playing for time, I am arranging for the original supplier to cancel the order and Yodel can return it to HK.
Tracking status is useless. Support chat have told me three days on the trot that its out for delivery and it never is. Now have informed me that twice it's gone out, and been recalled due to "high volume of parcels" and yet the tracking status is frozen as of nearly three days ago.
A telescope part from HK travels thousands of miles and is lost by Yodel less than 15 miles from home.
Use a bottle in the sea as a delivery method, its more reliable
Emailed the email adress below - but I'm going to order from another supplier who doesnt use Yodel if I dont get a guarantee delivery for tomorrow. WIll cancel this order and seek a refund
For info, the reply I've just gotten from the Social Media team says they take between 48 to 72 hours to get back to you. So if I don't get an answer today I'm cancelling the order, advising the supplier to recall the delivery and order elsewhere for a supplier who's confirmed that they don't use Yodel.
As to the "We deliver promises" tagline, well I hope not. All you deliver is disappointment and regret.
