Good potential but a shame.
I bought the Luna leggings in a size S in December 2019. I’m a UK size 8/small 10 but the S were tinyyyy, I could squeeze them on but they were so small and it made them sheer. I sent them back (had to pay to return and didn’t get a refund for original postage) I then reordered in a M. The M fit so much better but did make me think if I’m an 8 and a M there is no way an XL would fit up to a size 20 so I think TALA could definitely do more to be size inclusive.
The leggings were really flattering on me but they are quite a thick, rough material but still comfy and I liked wearing them when I did. Fast forward to May this year and I had maybe worn them a dozen times and not for anything too strenuous, I realised that they had a ladder up the bum. The ladder meant they were unwearable but also unfixable.
I contacted customer service with images. I got a reply the next day (I’ve always got a next day reply since then too) and the cs rep said I needed to send them back even during a pandemic but that I would get my postage refunded if I sent a pic of my postage receipt. I got the item + original postage refund in about 2/3 weeks but it’s been over a month and still waiting for my return postage refund even after chasing twice about this but I’m told it will be sent soon.
I think the idea of TALA is great, but currently it’s being poorly executed. I think there’s evidence of greenwashing by still pushing sustainability as its USP when I’ve seen soo many comments online and from people I know about low quality or faulty products which is not sustainable. Plus the constant release of new lines, encouraging consumerism and making people think that they need everything TALA sells (Even expensive loungewear which is unnecessary and very not green), it seems as tho they’re trying to compete with fast fashion companies when it would be better to focus on a core line with consistent quality.
2 stars as I loved how the leggings looked before they broke AND I love the ethos and TALA has so much potential but isn’t quite there yet.
