Go elsewhere
You could be lucky and get what you paid for, delivered on the correct day, and with good service, but why risk it ordering from this company.
I ordered turf and soil to be delivered on a Friday, which the website allowed with no issue. No further effort was made to contact me until Thursday, when I had an automatic email stating it was apparently getting delivered. Obviously, this is quite a shock given turf needs to be laid on the same day of arrival and no one was available to do that on the Thursday. In addition to this the delivery driver told my elderly parents (where this was delivered to) to water the rolled up grass in the meantime. This of course turns it into compost.
I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and we laid it the following day. However, it was obviously yellow. In a vain attempt to revive the turf we left it a while whilst consistently watering, as required. Clearly this was a wasted effort as all of it was dead. Not only was my time wasted, but also my money.
Now the more frustrating part. This business seems to be under the impression that me (the customer) should have known that their website is broken and that it only allowed delivery on a Friday because I also ordered soil at the same time. Obviously at this point my blood is starting to boil and we really didn't want anything to do with these cowboys. They did offer to take away the turf and give a replacement, but as you might imagine my parents (and myself) were already tainted by this point and were not willing to risk it again with this business, so i asked for compensation.
I wasn't asking for the full compensation, but out of the £120 paid they offered £25 and consistently implied I made a mistake because their website is broken.
No apology for the advice from the delivery driver and no acknowledgement that the website issue is theirs and not mine.
My advice? Even if you have to spend a little bit more, then save yourself the hassle and do it. It's not worth being a customer for this business in case something does go wrong, because apparently it's always the customers fault.
Edit: the below response from gravel master is incorrect. I have a screenshot that clearly states turf will be delivered on Thursdays and Fridays. Also, my confirmation email states it was booked for a Friday and no mention of turf being sent a day early. Your issue is your systems that allow turf to be delivered on a Friday when other items are added to the same order - this is a bug. This is not the customers responsibility and it is YOUR website and you should compensate the customer correctly. I'm very much happy to supply both pieces of proof.
