Go elsewhere

You could be lucky and get what you paid for, delivered on the correct day, and with good service, but why risk it ordering from this company.

I ordered turf and soil to be delivered on a Friday, which the website allowed with no issue. No further effort was made to contact me until Thursday, when I had an automatic email stating it was apparently getting delivered. Obviously, this is quite a shock given turf needs to be laid on the same day of arrival and no one was available to do that on the Thursday. In addition to this the delivery driver told my elderly parents (where this was delivered to) to water the rolled up grass in the meantime. This of course turns it into compost.

I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and we laid it the following day. However, it was obviously yellow. In a vain attempt to revive the turf we left it a while whilst consistently watering, as required. Clearly this was a wasted effort as all of it was dead. Not only was my time wasted, but also my money.

Now the more frustrating part. This business seems to be under the impression that me (the customer) should have known that their website is broken and that it only allowed delivery on a Friday because I also ordered soil at the same time. Obviously at this point my blood is starting to boil and we really didn't want anything to do with these cowboys. They did offer to take away the turf and give a replacement, but as you might imagine my parents (and myself) were already tainted by this point and were not willing to risk it again with this business, so i asked for compensation.

I wasn't asking for the full compensation, but out of the £120 paid they offered £25 and consistently implied I made a mistake because their website is broken.

No apology for the advice from the delivery driver and no acknowledgement that the website issue is theirs and not mine.

My advice? Even if you have to spend a little bit more, then save yourself the hassle and do it. It's not worth being a customer for this business in case something does go wrong, because apparently it's always the customers fault.

Edit: the below response from gravel master is incorrect. I have a screenshot that clearly states turf will be delivered on Thursdays and Fridays. Also, my confirmation email states it was booked for a Friday and no mention of turf being sent a day early. Your issue is your systems that allow turf to be delivered on a Friday when other items are added to the same order - this is a bug. This is not the customers responsibility and it is YOUR website and you should compensate the customer correctly. I'm very much happy to supply both pieces of proof.

Thank you for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback.

We are sincerely sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate how disappointing and frustrating this has been.

We would like to clarify that our website does state that turf deliveries are made on Thursdays, as this is necessary to ensure the product reaches customers as fresh as possible. We apologise if there was any confusion during the ordering process regarding the delivery date.

We also acknowledge your concerns regarding the advice provided at the time of delivery and regret that this has affected your confidence in our service.

After reviewing your case, we offered to replace the entire turf order free of charge as a gesture of goodwill and to resolve the issue. We understand that you declined this offer, as you no longer wished to proceed with a replacement, and we respect your decision.

We are sorry that you feel your concerns were not handled to your satisfaction. This is certainly not the experience we aim to provide, and we understand why you were disappointed with the proposed resolution.

Your comments regarding the website, communication, delivery process, and after-sales support have been noted and will be shared with the relevant departments for review. Customer feedback such as yours is invaluable in helping us identify where improvements are needed.

We regret that we have left you with this impression of Gravel Master and apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Kind regards,
Gravel Master Team

Worst streaming platform

How can Disney carry on with such a terrible streaming service knowing how many of us are fed up with it's performance. It's beyond shocking how many times it freezes or just refuses to resume something you were watching. It is by far the worst streaming platform out there. Such incompetence.

Just when i thought Evri was the worst…

Just when i thought Evri was the worst delivery service out there and then GLS pops up. They've had my item for over 2 weeks with no update to the tracking. Zero response to the online form submission when trying to contact them. Clearly these should not be in operation and now i'm without my item which should have been delivered ages ago.

What can you say about York Council

What can you say about York Council? You could start by their sheer incompetence when I comes to IT and being forced to use web services that don't work, or maybe the huge waiting time to get them to respond to an email, or maybe their inability to manage the budget correctly and have more potholes than many any other citiy of it's size. York is a lovely place, but York council are the worst I've experienced. The majority of those who work there need removing immediately, as they're clearly all jobsworths and add very little value.

No one should be using Eon

What an awful energy company to deal with. I've had numerous bad experiences with them ranging from miss information on gas and electric on their app to more recently signing up for solar and battery installation, which is the worst decision i could have made. They miss-sold me on a couple of aspects, took my deposit and decided that was the time to say there is going to be a delay in installation. I'm now trying to cancel, but can't get through to anyone on email or phone. Their customer service head needs removing from the business as clearly the guidance given to staff is to bring in money and ignore anything else. To add to all this frustration their app is terrible to use and will regularly log you out and ask you to sign in when you've already enable biometrics, and randomly add other plans to your account and up until recently you'd have to wait months to see your energy usage even on a smart meter.

Your delivery charges are a joke

Your delivery charges are a joke. It's never free over £100 and always costs at least £30. Your delivery should be free over £100. There are so many other places out there which are cheaper and don't charge this delivery charge.

Striving to be the worst at everything

Anyone rating Evri 3 stars or higher has clearly only used them once or twice and been extremely lucky. Actual next day delivery? Sure, just don't use Evri. Want your parcel actually delivered and not giving to a random house near your street? Sure, just don't use Evri. Want your parcel to actually turn up at all? Sure, just don't use Evri. If there is something this company can mess up they'll try their hardest to find it. The most frustrating thing for consumers is they're cheap so many companies use them by default, like eBay. I dread seeing their name on any deliveries I'm due and brace for the worst.

Fraudulent company

Paid for a check on my wife's car which she has owned for years and all came back all ok. Tried to sell the car to 3 places and all say it's been stolen. I contact vcheck and ask why this was not checked when I paid for a search. They then send me a new one with then had this being flagged. They are completely fraudulent. Do not use these.

For some reason, your vehicle was marked retrospectively as stolen, which is incorrect as you owned it for a longer period. All HPI companies currently report your vehicle as stolen. Therefore, you won't be able to sell it, whether the dealer uses our service or somebody else. As per my email, I have already enquired with PNC and Experian on your behalf, and we can only wait until they investigate this matter.

AVOID at all costs

AVOID at all costs. These guys and the people they advertise to are cowboys.

I clearly entered all pictures of dents and scratches and was provided a quote based on that. I wasted a day meeting a trader who offered considerably less than what was agreed based on the same damaged I had already clearly shown in the pictures. What on earth is the point in going to the ridiculous effort of all the pictures just to have them been ignored. It's obviously a ploy to get you to meet the trader and have them negotiate further. If this happens to you don't just agree to the new price. Walk away.

Never give this company or the traders it works with your money

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your review, we're sorry to hear you've had a negative experience.

Whilst we do of course appreciate that you will have submitted all of the required photos requested by our sales team, there can often be other issues, either known to you as the seller or otherwise, that may not be easily distinguishable in the photos alone. This is why it's common practice for all buyers to request and carry out a thorough inspection at the point of collection. This is also why after submitting these photos you are asked if there are any additional issues that as a seller you are aware of that have not shown up in the photos you've already submitted.

Unfortunately, if any issues are identified at the point of collection that weren’t listed on the profile then the buyer may look to adjust their offer to take this into account. This is because your offer is based on the accuracy of the information provided and advertised on your profile. In this instance after reaching out to the buyer for more information they have advised us that upon inspection they noticed that there was considerably more paintwork compared to what had been declared on the vehicle profile, they've also advised us that the clutch was very high and that there was a loud rattle emanating from the rear of the vehicle during the test drive

Being remote from the inspection we need to take the buyers feedback seriously, as buyers won't pay to collect a vehicle only to back out without a valid reason. We do also stress that you’re never obligated to accept a lower offer if you're not happy to do so as it is a voluntary transaction for all parties throughout, but the vehicle must be as described in order to achieve the agreed price.

If you are unhappy with the reduction requested upon collection, you can always contact our Sales Support Team if you feel a reduction is unfair, but unfortunately it seems we were not made aware of any issue at the time. We will always look to assist in coming to a mutually agreeable outcome for both parties and if damage was genuinely declared, we will challenge a buyer on those points, inasmuch as we would discuss with you any damage that was not declared.

Whilst we are of course sorry if this was not the outcome you were hoping for, we would like to thank you for providing your feedback and we wish you all the best going forward.

Kind regards,

Sam

Worst holiday company you could use

The flight company Cancelled my flight over 5 months ago and and even after constant chasing eDreams didn't log a case until 2 months later. I'm still waiting for my refund.

You can't blame the flight companies for your lack of customer service. I cannot believe I'm still waiting for a refund. This has to be the worst company I've dealt with

I've given up trying to get my refund for a cancelled holiday. Terrible company and should be investigated. They don't respond to anything and it's impossible to contact them. It's so infuriating that companies like this are still allowed to operate and make money.

Customer support shambles

Yet another company who sell, sell, sell and only focus on that. My flights were cancelled and all you get back from eDreams is that it can take up to 3 months from the airline to refund, even though it should only be a number of weeks. Firstly, I booked with you and paid you, not the airline. eDreams should be processing the refund asap and waiting for the airlines to refund them. Utter shambles and customer support is none existent. Please, please do your self a favour and don't use these, it's not worth the few extra quid you might save on flights.

UPDATE

I felt I needed to update this. I've just had a response saying my case was logged on the 13th July with the airlines, but I told them 1 month prior to this so they've been lying up until that point! Also, the comment from eDreams below triggered a new case where after a couple of days I got the same automatic response saying it can take 3 months. What was the point in that!

I can't express how bad this company is.

Please read this before booking

Please read this before booking. This company does not operate as you would expect. They will take your money and then go away and try to book it and none of this is told to you before you confirm on the website. At this point you're not given a booking id so you can't log on or call anyone as it won't transfer you without it. You're then most likely to get an email days later saying they couldn't fullfil the booking, but looking at alternatives. So, at this point they have your money and there is no way to contact them. DO NOT USE. Websites like Tui will actually confirm there and then when you book it. This surely feels like fraud to me and not operating in the standards required in the UK.

Over charge for fair wear and tear

They do not follow fair wear and tear at all. Charged me nearly £300 for some tiny scratches on the side doors. Utterly ridiculous. Is it worth fighting them on it? No, because they're completely useless. Driver turned up with no mask and no social distancing at all.

If you're going to lease make sure these are not behind it

Unbelievable

Update. Finally got through to some women who was very helpful and apologetic. Good call centre staff, bit obviously bad management not getting enough staff to answer phones.

Unbelievable. Need to return phone unused. Filled out the return form twice and no response. Been on hold for an hour and that's after calling at the weekend where the phone just goes dead after the message.

Has anyone reported this company yet? This is shocking. I will be shortly if they don't respond.
