Converted to the ratified format ("How Minimal Writes Specs", implemented in gominimal/foundry#35): EARS-only requirements (five patterns), tier by lines present, ratified frontmatter (id: SBOM, owner, status, updated), structured Security invariants with covered-by links, Non-goals with destinations, Generality check, Rollout deleted (non-infra), NEEDS CLARIFICATION markers. Verified: 0 findings from foundry's own spec_lint.py. Note foundry#35 is still open — if the template shifts in review, this follows. |

@bryan-minimal if we can log a box spec, do we need to produce an SBOM for the entire box immediately or should we do it on demand? For example, presuming each package in the MPR binary cache has its own SBOM, also in the binary cache (along with its sigstore bundle to verify it), should we just build these box SBOMs on the fly by collecting all the SBOMs for the pkgs listed in the box spec? The box spec should have the upstream package registry and commit hash so we can find the associated index.shisha and then find these packages and their SBOMs in the cache. |

@msample yes — and I think this should be the architecture, not just the emission strategy. I've pushed the spec changes that follow from it; the reasoning and the two places your sketch needs a third arm are below. Adopted. Composition by reference: the per-package document sealed at publish is the unit, and an environment's document is an envelope over references to those units resolved through the pin. One document per artifact instead of one per box, N boxes sharing glibc reference one document, and a composed document inherits corrected component data — a revised patch ledger (inbox#511), a new advisory disposition — without regenerating anything. It also mirrors the per-artifact This inverts the spec's slice order: per-package emission at publish moves from the last user story to slice 1, because everything else composes from it. That's the biggest change in the diff. Two premise checks, so the sequencing is honest. Per-package SBOMs don't exist yet — buildbot emits none at publish — so the "presuming" is load-bearing and is now slice 1. The verify half isn't there either: Sigstore bundles are rehearsal-only until the #217 prod flip. And three CycloneDX emitters already exist ( Where the composition needs more than collection:
One decision your comment implies but doesn't state, now an open question with a recommendation: is a composed environment document signed in its own right, or a verifiable derivation over the signed per-package inputs it references? I'd argue derivation — no per-environment signing infrastructure, and it stays valid as inputs are re-signed. Worth settling with the attestation cutover rather than here. Also in this push: the spec now carries explicit |

Findings and what each fix was:
- S — a transcribed story stopped matching the epic. Yesterday's commit appended to it: "…without a second implementation, and every environment document composes from them rather than re-deriving component detail." The epic says "…so that catalog artifacts ship with supply-chain documents without a second implementation." Stories are copied because the epic is transient and the merged spec binds; a clause that reads fine binds something else. Restored verbatim, and the composition point lives in Design reasoning where it was always argued.
- O — SBOM-009 stated a mechanism. It required the system to "compose component detail by reference to the per-package documents… rather than re-deriving it from recipe metadata." A second implementation could satisfy the outcome without composing by reference. It now states the observable — a component's detail equals the per-package document sealed under the pin — and says whose interface that document is, since build infrastructure emits what this command reads.
- T — SBOM-012 was a security invariant at T0. It is named in "covered by: SBOM-011, SBOM-012" under the invariant that no document is emitted with a silently incomplete component set. An invariant checked by one example test is a claim with an example behind it, so it now carries a property.
- D — "catalog pin" carried a bound in four requirements and was defined nowhere. The epic defines it; the spec now states it in Context before the requirements lean on it.
- F — five requirements have no acceptance criterion behind them. SBOM-009 through 012 answer @msample's review question; the epic predates the eager-vs-composed choice and its criteria do not reach it. Design reasoning now says so rather than letting them read as authoritative as the criteria-backed ones. This is the one worth a second opinion: either the epic's criteria get updated, or the spec is understood to supersede them here.
That commit also restores two Design-reasoning paragraphs that an en-dash mismatch silently dropped from the previous push — the composition argument and the note that three CycloneDX emitters already exist, which is the basis of the open question about which one the model crate subsumes.
Undrafting. The two CRITICAL markers stand by design and are advisory; the review decides.

byte-identical output across success and failure.
- Around line 22-24: Update the SBOM success statement and the related SBOM-004,
SBOM-011, and SBOM-012 contract language to use one three-state digest model:
closure-resolved digests, explicitly declared allowed gaps, and unexpected

preserving byte-identical regeneration requirements.

Scope: matches the stated intent — one new file, docs/specs/12-spec-sbom-blueprint/12-spec-sbom-blueprint.md, adopting the new ratified spec template (foundry#35) as the PR body says. One thing worth a human's attention: the PR body's self-lint claims "8 requirements... 7 T1 + 1 T0", but the shipped file has 12 requirements (SBOM-001..SBOM-012, 9 T1 + 3 T0 counting the T0 sub-clause under SBOM-001). The Design reasoning section explains this itself (SBOM-009..012 were added answering a review question, not from the original epic), so it's not a defect, just a stale count in the PR description worth updating before merge.
Clobber: none — new file only, no other paths touched, no revert of prior work. The pre-existing 07- spec numbering collision the PR body flags (07-spec-installer / 07-spec-min-dash-tui) predates this PR.
Correctness: two findings reported above — a copy-pasted property: formula on SBOM-011 that doesn't encode its distinguishing behavior (the digest-gap attachment), and a self-referential "the spec PR" pointer in the Design reasoning section that won't resolve for a post-merge reader. Verified the self-lint's ID-uniqueness claim (no other SBOM-0 usage in docs/specs/) and that just test-one, named by every verify: pointer, doesn't exist yet — expected for a spec describing unimplemented behavior, not flagged.
Not checked: nothing here required a build; this is a documentation-only PR and everything was checkable by reading.
What ran
5 probe(s), all self-reported — every entry below is the model's own account of what it ran. None of it is host-attested, so none of it can gate a blocking verdict.
Verification log
1. rg for duplicate property: lines across all 10 requirements in the new spec — self-reported
Extracted every
property:line from the diff (10 total across SBOM-001..SBOM-012). All are distinct except SBOM-005 (line 103) and SBOM-011 (line 149), which are byte-identical:for all environments e: components(emit(e)) superset packages(e). Confirmed this is the only duplicate pair, not a repeating pattern.
2. grep diff for self-referential phrasing ("this PR", "this diff", "the spec PR") — self-reported
Found one hit: line 186, 'SBOM-009 through SBOM-012 answer a review question on the spec PR rather than an acceptance criterion'. No other self-referential phrasing in the document.
3. rg 'SBOM-0' outside docs/specs/12-spec-sbom-blueprint/ to check the self-lint's ID-uniqueness claim — self-reported
No hits — confirms the PR body's claim that the SBOM- prefix is unused elsewhere in docs/specs. No collision.
4. grep justfile for a test-one recipe referenced by every verify: pointer — self-reported
No
test-onerecipe exists yet. Not flagged as a finding: this is a spec for unimplemented behavior, and no other ratified-format spec exists yet to compare against — the recipe is expected to land with the implementation, not the spec.
5. ls docs/specs/ and git log --oneline -15 -- docs/specs/12-spec-sbom-blueprint/ — self-reported
New file only, added across this PR's own commits (0b8c5fa, 8fb74fa, dbcd977, 77ecb06). No other spec or file touched; no revert or clobber of prior work. Confirmed the pre-existing 07- numbering collision the PR body mentions is real (07-spec-installer and 07-spec-min-dash-tui both exist) but that collision predates this PR and isn't introduced by it.

Scope matches the title: one new 257-line draft spec, docs/specs/19-spec-sbom-blueprint/. The body's process findings check out — docs/specs/ really does contain two 07- directories, and git log -- docs/specs/ shows a deliberate 'spec 12 → renumber 19' chain, so the directory name is accountable. Clobber none: the path is brand new; only this spec's own commit history appears beneath it. Correctness of the spec mechanics: section order matches the spec-author template (Non-functional requirements and Rollout correctly absent for a non-infra spec), every T1 requirement carries a property: and every T0 lacks one, requirement ids are unique (SBOM matches nowhere else under docs/), and the EARS/tier syntax is internally consistent. Two findings below: a stale PR description (the document has 12 requirement IDs, not the 8 the body enumerates) and the just test-one verify form, which no justfile recipe provides. Substantive points already on the PR (SBOM-001's tautological property, the cache-independence/SBOM-012 conflict, SBOM-011's duplicated property, and the 'the spec PR' self-reference) are left to their threads, per the review contract. Not checked (needs a build or external access): whether the transcribed stories match the external epic (gominimal/inbox#582), the CycloneDX 1.5 / Blueprint 2.0 draft schema assertions, and the verify test names, which by design do not exist yet — that list is the process linter's to-do contract, and just itself is not installed in this sandbox.
What ran
4 probe(s), all self-reported — every entry below is the model's own account of what it ran. None of it is host-attested, so none of it can gate a blocking verdict.
Verification log
1. rg -l 'SBOM' docs/ --glob '*.md'; grep '^id:' docs/specs/*/*.md — exit 0 · self-reported
SBOM appears only in the new spec. The other twelve specs' frontmatter ids are spec-/arch- (plus one directory-local architecture.md per crate doc), so the body's claim that the id prefix is repo-unique holds.
2. grep -n 'test-one' justfile — exit 1 · self-reported
No
test-onerecipe exists; the justfile's test surface istest,test-ignored,test-cross,test-vm,test-installer,doctest,test-snap-update.justis not installed in this sandbox, so the grep over the justfile is the authoritative check.
3. git log --oneline -8 -- docs/specs/ — exit 0 · self-reported
History under docs/specs is only this spec's own chain (spec 12 -> ratified-format conversion -> SBOM-009..012 additions -> renumber to 19); no recent fix is reverted by this PR.
4. read pr.diff: count requirement IDs, tier lines, verify lines, section order — self-reported
12 requirement IDs (SBOM-001..012): 10 main bullets at T1 each with a property: line, SBOM-007 and SBOM-009 at T0 with no property, plus a T0 sub-bullet under SBOM-001. All 13 verify: lines use
just test-one <name>. Section order matches sections.md; Non-functional requirements and Rollout correctly absent.

Verdict COMMENT — COMMENT: policy.actions.request_changes is off; policy.actions.approve is off.
Scope matches the title and body intent: one new spec file (docs/specs/19-spec-sbom-blueprint/), 275 lines, 12 requirement IDs (SBOM-001..012), the verified count of 10 T1 + 2 T0 (SBOM-007, SBOM-009) + the T0 cache-independence sub-clause under SBOM-001, all in the ratified EARS/tier/property format. Clobber none: git log on the file shows only this branch's own commits (0b8c5fa → 7972e94); the 12→19 renumber and the SBOM- prefix are unique across the tree (no other SBOM-NNN hits). Correctness the document itself is in good shape: each thread in threads.json that claims a fix in 7972e94 is visibly reflected in the tree (three-state digest model in the Success statement and SBOM-011/012; SBOM-004/005/006/008/011/012 properties now match their SHALL clauses; really every serializer in SBOM-008; verify pointers in the cargo nextest run -p <crate> <test> form; minimal#1304 replaces the unresolvable PR pointer). EARS structure, section order, frontmatter keys, non-goal destinations, and property/tier agreement all hold up to inspection. One low-severity finding below (stale updated: frontmatter). Not checked while I was in the diff: spec-lint could not actually run — the plugin checkout in .review/plugin ships bin/spec-lint but not its spec/spec_lint.py body, so I hand-checked against the linter's reference material (spec-author/references/sections.md) instead. One process note outside the diff, for the maintainer: the captured PR description (and the live page) still carries the 8-requirement inventory ("7 at T1 ... 1 at T0") and the "This PR stays draft" line, even though the doc now has 12 requirements and the PR is open — the thread reply claiming the description was refreshed does not match the current body, so the description should be updated before merge (this was already raised and replied-to, hence noted rather than filed).
What ran
5 probe(s), all self-reported — every entry below is the model's own account of what it ran. None of it is host-attested, so none of it can gate a blocking verdict.
Verification log
1. spec-lint run; reference-material cross-check — exit 2 · self-reported
spec-lint exited 2: .review/plugin/bin/spec-lint wrappers to ../spec/spec_lint.py which is not shipped in this plugin checkout. Hand-checked the document against spec-author/references/sections.md (the file tests enforce equality with spec_lint.py): frontmatter keys, section order, EARS, tier/field agreement, T0-with-property rule all satisfied.
2. git log -L and git show on the spec's updated: field — self-reported
Traced the frontmatter 'updated' value across all six branch commits: set to 2026-09-03 by 77ecb06 (the 09-03 review-fix round) and not bumped by 89c9099 (09-16 renumber) or 7972e94 (09-16 substantive review fixes: three-state digest model, five properties rewritten, verify form switched). The author's own history shows the convention is to bump on content change.
3. rg counts: requirements, tiers, verify lines; SBOM- prefix scan — exit 0 · self-reported
12 requirement headers (SBOM-001..012), 10 tier T1 + 2 tier T0 + 1 sub-clause tier T0, 13
cargo nextest run -p sbomverify lines, matching the claimed inventory. No SBOM-NNN occurrence anywhere else in docs/, and no other spec frontmatter id collides withid: SBOM.
4. Read .review/threads.json and .review/learnings.md; compare claims to file — self-reported
Each of the 9 threads' accepted fixes is present verbatim in the head tree (success-statement gap, SBOM-011!=005 property, cache sub-clause scoping, serializer coverage, minimal#1304 pointer, placeholders named). learnings.md is empty; the two unresolved threads (SBOM-009 projection, SBOM-008 serializer range) are answered by the recorded MEDIUM/LOW open questions in the doc.
5. WebFetch PR 1304 page + pr.json body comparison — self-reported
Captured pr.json body and the live GitHub page both still show the 8-requirement/'stays draft' inventory; the thread claiming the description was refreshed is not borne out by either. Not filed as a finding (cannot anchor to a diff line; already replied-to), noted in summary instead.

Verdict COMMENT — COMMENT: policy.actions.request_changes is off; policy.actions.approve is off.
Scope matches the title: one new file, docs/specs/19-spec-sbom-blueprint/19-spec-sbom-blueprint.md, a draft spec with 12 EARS requirements (10 T1, 2 T0, plus a T0 sub-clause under SBOM-001) — the inventory the PR body claims matches the document exactly. Clobber none: git log shows this is a fresh file; the 12→19 renumbering clears a real collision (the tree already carries two 07- specs) and no existing spec is overwritten. Correctness: cross-checked against the foundry#35 template (frontmatter keys id/title/owner/epic/arch/updated all present; section order Context→Open questions valid; T1 requirements all carry property: and the two T0s correctly carry none); requirement IDs are repo-unique (id: SBOM is the only one); all 13 verify: pointers use the repo's one-test form (cargo nextest run -p sbom <test> — the justfile's test surface is nextest; there is no test-one recipe), though the crate is a placeholder pending the emitter open question, as the doc says. All eight prior review threads' fixes are present in the current text (three-state digest model, rewritten properties, nextest verify form, updated: 2026-09-16, status: dropped). I found no contradiction among the twelve requirements and no remaining defect I can defend above the reporting bar. Not checked: spec-lint (its spec/spec_lint.py module is not staged in .review/plugin), and the external references (minimal#700, build-servers#86, gominimal/arch#66, inbox#582, the sibling GHS spec #1351) are unresolvable from this checkout.

Correctness one finding below: the gap predicate differs between SBOM-004 (artifact-digest resolvability) and SBOM-011 (per-package-document reference), and the spec never states they coincide. Otherwise internally consistent — 12 requirements (10 T1, 2 T0, plus the T0 cache-independence sub-clause) match the PR body's inventory; no T0 carries a property:; all 13 verify: pointers use the repo's one-test form (cargo nextest run, confirmed against the justfile); the rewritten SBOM-001/004/005/006/008/011/012 properties each check their own SHALL clause; all five Security invariants are covered by a requirement at the same scope; every non-goal names a destination; the CRITICAL D4 and command-home questions are on record. Minor nits below reporting threshold: SBOM-006's test name blueprint_schema_conformance lacks the sbom_ prefix the other twelve carry, and the sub-clause's verify: line is indented differently. Not checked: spec-lint state (the plugin wrapper resolves to plugin/spec/spec_lint.py, which is absent from this sandbox, so the PR's 'two advisory Q002 notes' claim could not be reproduced), story fidelity against the epic (gominimal/inbox#582 is not fetchable, HTTP 404), and the gominimal/arch#66 / minimal#700 cross-references.

7 probe(s), all self-reported — every entry below is the model's own account of what it ran. None of it is host-attested, so none of it can gate a blocking verdict.
Verification log
1. spec-lint docs/specs/19-spec-sbom-blueprint/19-spec-sbom-blueprint.md (via plugin wrapper) — self-reported
Wrapper fails: it execs .review/plugin/spec/spec_lint.py, which does not exist in this sandbox (the plugin ships only spec-author/spec-review skills). Lint state could not be reproduced; the PR's claim of exactly two advisory Q002 notes is unverified.
2. git log --oneline -15 -- docs/specs/19-spec-sbom-blueprint/ — exit 0 · self-reported
Five commits (89c9099..9697182), all this PR; no revert of prior work; HEAD matches pr.json head_sha 9697182.
3. rg -n '^id: SBOM$' docs/specs -g '*.md' — exit 0 · self-reported
Exactly one match, this spec; the SBOM id/prefix collides with no other spec.
4. rg 'gh|password|secret|token|AKIA|BEGIN (RSA|OPENSSH|EC)|api[_-]?key' .review/pr.diff — exit 0 · self-reported
Only benign prose hits ('[secrets]' Box Spec section, 'token' in prose); no credentials in the diff.
5. WebFetch https://github.com/gominimal/inbox/issues/582 — self-reported
HTTP 404 — the epic is not fetchable, so the Users and stories transcription and requirement faithfulness to the epic's acceptance criteria could not be checked.
6. rg -n 'nextest' justfile — exit 0 · self-reported
The justfile's test recipes run
cargo nextest run; the verify-pointer form matches the repo's one-test convention.
7. Read spec-review rubric + spec-author sections.md (plugin references) — self-reported
Cross-checked the document against the format contract: section order (Context..Open questions with the two optional sections absent), frontmatter keys, EARS grammar, tier/field agreement, and non-goal destinations all conform.

This looks stale, so I'm not reviewing the requirements yet. Nothing has changed since 2026-09-16, and the branch is 443 commits behind main. The BOX spec (docs/specs/29-spec-box-local-first) has since merged and folds sessions and tasks into boxes ([tasks.<name>] reads as a box entry, BOX-046). That changes the "session/task" framing, SBOM-006's "session model", and the mfile::Task convergence non-goal, which now has its destination on main. The arch pin (d77725b6) is older than the one BOX binds (823f45fa), and arch_sha: is missing. The CRITICAL and command-home questions are waiting on gominimal/arch#66, which has had no response. The epic, inbox#582, is marked routing:deferred, and three review threads (lines 99, 132, 138) are still open. Is this still wanted? If so, a rebase onto the box model and an answer on arch#66 would be needed before a full review.

…ers to move; AT2 named Two findings after the arch PASS. SBOM-001's interim property bounded the difference between two emissions by the replaced documents' components, but the serial and the document namespace are derived from content and sit outside every component, so they follow any component change; the property names them. AT2 is defined at its first use as the architecture's threat-model entry "Artifact substitution in the cache or CDN", whose mitigation is that verification fails closed.

The compare makes two changes, and both conform. The AT2 gloss quotes architecture.md line 1728 exactly. The SBOM-001 interim property now lets the content-derived serial and namespace move, as SBOM-001 requires. The flip condition and build-servers#185 do not change. Everything else keeps its status from the 099c718 PASS.

…ose already copies One finding after the arch PASS. SBOM-008's prose reduces the locations among a document's copied fields, but its property's field set had no location, so the test it drives could not check the reduction. The set names location, reduced to scheme, host and port like the posture's.

arch-review: PASS · the full ruling
The compare adds location to SBOM-008's imported field set. It requires every imported location to reduce to scheme://host[:port]. The prose already copies and reduces a location, so the property now tests the rule it states. This keeps the design's rule that secrets never appear in any output mode (architecture.md line 380). The other requirements keep their status from the PASS on 74c61b6a.

The first slice claims SBOM-001's unconditional guarantee over the fixture. SBOM-001's unconditional property applies only while the pin records a bundle for every referenced document. The same paragraph says the slice output carries the no-bundle reason, so the pin records none. The interim sub-bullet then applies. Say that the fixture is byte-stable because its document bytes are fixed. Do not call it SBOM-001's unconditional guarantee. Otherwise the sbom_regeneration_deterministic test cannot be written for the slice.

Right, the fixture pins no bundle. In adf7d5e the paragraph says the fixture is byte-stable because its document bytes never change, which is SBOM-001's interim sub-bullet with an empty set of replaced documents, not its unconditional guarantee.

Reworked in f05c68e: the first-slice paragraph says the fixture's byte stability is SBOM-001's unbundled case (the fixture cache's document bytes never change), that the fixture pins no bundle, and that the output carries the partial mark with the no-bundle reason. Left open for Norrie.
… kinds are a component's Two findings after the arch PASS. The first slice claimed SBOM-001's unconditional guarantee over its fixture, but the fixture pins no bundle, so the interim sub-bullet applies; the fixture is byte-stable because its document bytes never change (an empty set of replaced documents), and the paragraph says so. "The only kinds a package can be" is narrowed to the kinds an emitted component can have, since a package with no entry or an unknown state is neither and is not emitted.

The compare makes two wording fixes in the SBOM spec, and both conform. The first-slice paragraph now gives the fixture's byte stability to the SBOM-001 interim with an empty set of replaced documents. It no longer claims the unconditional guarantee, which needs a pinned bundle. The kinds sentence now applies to emitted components, and a package that the pin does not account for still fails with exit 6. That agrees with AT2 (architecture.md line 1728): verification fails closed. The earlier PASS on this PR stands for everything else.

The one new change adds v to the field set that the Blueprint's posture digest binds. The Gatehouse §6.3.2 record carries "v": 1, and BOX-071 names v first in the same set. The SBOM-006 list now matches both. The earlier PASS on this PR stands for the rest of the spec.

The design is careful and spec-lint is clean apart from the expected P004s. Requesting changes on the text and the title.
- PR title. The squash commit takes the PR title, and
spec:is not a type indocs/commit-conventions.md. Please retitle todocs(specs): …with a lowercase subject. - Functional language. The body cites issues and PRs throughout (build-servers, minimal, arch and inbox references). L605–606 cites this spec's own review, which the open bot thread already flags. L649 "Earlier drafts followed…" is revision history. References to architecture line numbers (83, 1074–1077, 1731) go stale; cite the section. Present tense, alternatives and why, no history.
- SBOM-013 printed text (interim sub-bullets L452–454, L463–465). The stderr diagnostic names a tracker issue as the reason, which is an internal reference in user-facing text, and the spec gives no exact wording. Please write the text, the condition, and the surface.
- One behaviour per requirement. SBOM-008 (L259–303), SBOM-012 and SBOM-014 each pack several behaviours into one sentence. The 55-line definition block in Context (L38–93) carries behaviour the requirements depend on. Both are hard to plan and verify as written.
- Consistency.
- SBOM-004's gap gloss ("the closure references no per-package document for it") contradicts Context L46–48, where an
artifactentry has a digest whether or not a document exists. - SBOM-005, 010 and 011 say "environment" where the box naming in AGENTS.md says box.
- The first-slice paragraph (L107–115) still argues SBOM-001's interim case in a parenthetical.
- SBOM-004's gap gloss ("the closure references no per-package document for it") contradicts Context L46–48, where an
just lint-prosereports 311 errors and 140 warnings on the spec.
The v field thread at L241 is fixed (L231 lists v) and can be resolved. The first-slice thread at L116 is still open.
…ement, diagnostic text Round 36, Norrie's review of 2026-10-22. Issue and PR citations leave the body (the epic, the architecture sections and the sibling specs are named instead), the self-review and revision-history passages go, and the architecture is cited by section. SBOM-008, SBOM-012 and SBOM-014 are split into one behaviour per sub-bullet, and the Context's definition block keeps definitions only: the digest-or-gap decision and the fetch-failure exit codes are requirements now (SBOM-004, SBOM-012). SBOM-013's stderr diagnostic has its exact text, condition and surface. SBOM-004's gap gloss matches the Context, the box is a box throughout, and the first-slice paragraph says plainly which SBOM-001 case it relies on. The prose linter's project vocabulary learns the spec's terms; its remaining findings are the format's verify lines and test names, and the spec's own negations.

This head rewrites the spec without a change in meaning, so the PASS on e3d6dd9b stands. The split requirements keep their conditions and exit codes. Codes 5, 6 and 7 match the architecture's exit-code table. The new SBOM-013 warning goes to stderr, as design principle 4 requires. The warning text no longer names build-servers#185. The Open questions still link that issue, and the design has no rule on this point.

A correction to my last review: point 3 asked for SBOM-013's exact wording in the spec. I withdraw that half. A spec states what a message must convey, when, and where; the wording belongs in the task issue, the PR and its test. The exact text now at L509-518 can be relaxed to what the line conveys.
Still open:
- Open questions cite trackers (L766 arch#66, L774 build-servers#86, L779 build-servers#185, L785 arch#138); L767-770 ("The earlier worry … no longer holds") is revision history; L774 "Recommendation on record", L789 "Settle in first-slice review" and the Non-goals' "Until it is merged the chain runs…" (~L603) are process.
- Security considerations (~L737-741): "A gate that consumes a box document as evidence SHALL refuse a
partialone" is a SHALL with no ID or verify line, and it binds an outside consumer. Drop the SHALL or make it a requirement. - A few sub-bullets are still dense: SBOM-013's bundle bullet (L465-481, four IF branches) and SBOM-014's resolution-record bullet (L568-582).
