Xpeng. Waste of time

So website says open at Warrington on a Sunday. Drove down and it's closed. Sent enquiry on website 9 times not one call back called Blackpool and Leeds no answer. Leeds called me back and had no technical knowledge of the car at all or pricing. Asked if he can get some to call back still waiting and a further 3 enquiries sent! Messaged on instagram and nothing !I think I will stay away as concerned that if I have an issue no one around to sort it........

They are never open and don’t return messages

They are never open. They do not answer the customer service line or return your messages so we can’t find out if they are open or not. They lie and say the showroom was closed because of a building issue, but we have been there 3 times (weekdays and Saturday) and they are closed. Today is the 13th of June and they have a sign from a week ago still up saying they are closed and will reopen on the 9th. Lots of mail slipped under the door so they have not been open for over a week.

I’ve owned an XPeng G6 for about 2.5…

I’ve owned an XPeng G6 for about 2.5 months now, and honestly it’s been a frustrating experience from day one. Coming from Tesla, the XPeng feels like a clear downgrade in terms of usability and day-to-day convenience. The car has frequent software bugs, consumes more energy than expected, and several features don’t work as smoothly as they should.

Based on my experience so far, I would advise potential buyers to test the car thoroughly in real daily use before making a decision — something I regret not doing.

No response from Xpeng!

I asked for a test drive as well as finance quote to Xpeng UK, however, a response hasn't arrived since 3 days! Seems Xpeng can't serve public as expected from an established cast manufacturer. Felt impressed with design and spec of model G6, however, I feel there is no away as it is now, I can own it.

I bought a G9 in November 2025 from Xpeng (via Ejner Hessel) in Albertslund Denmark. In was a super experience all in all. I’ve been driving the car now for about a month and a half and I love it. The ride comfort is unmatched and the vehicle is indeed very smart. The range is more than appropriate for my situation and the smart sieving assistents work without hiccup.

I purchased a new XPENG G6 in Aarhus…

I purchased a new XPENG G6 in Aarhus expecting a premium customer experience to match the brand’s positioning and the vehicle’s technology. Unfortunately, my experience with XPENG Denmark and its authorised dealer, Ejner Hessel, was the opposite.

From the moment the order was placed, the process was marked by contradictory information, lack of accountability, and zero customer centric thinking.

Delivery timelines changed repeatedly December, then February, then suddenly “available immediately” forcing me to reorganise financing, sell my previous car under pressure, and absorb unnecessary costs. These changes were always explained away as “out of our control,” yet the impact was entirely borne by the customer.

One week before vehicle handover, I personally tried to delivered the winter wheels to the dealership for installation. The response was simply that there was “no availability until January.” No alternative, no flexibility, no prioritisation despite the fact that Ejner Hessel represents multiple major brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Renault, and Dacia and operates a large dealership with significant resources.

I was expected to accept the idea that a customer taking delivery of a brand new vehicle in winter should drive on summer tyres, which is not only unreasonable but also dismissive of customer safety and intelligence. The message was clear:
“This is our process take it or leave it.”

At one point, I had to rely on my former dealership, Finn Allan Eriksen where I was no longer a customer, to resolve safety related issues that XPENG’s authorised dealer could not or would not handle. That comparison alone says everything.

To make matters worse, the car was delivered with cosmetic defects, reinforcing the impression that once the sale is closed, the customer becomes secondary.

The vehicle itself is impressive well designed, technologically advanced, and full of potential. But a premium product cannot compensate for a dealer network that prioritises volume over responsibility.

Based on my experience, Ejner Hessel are focused on selling cars, not on building trust, loyalty, or long-term relationships. When problems arise, customers are met with polished, generic explanations instead of real solutions.
If XPENG wants to be taken seriously as a premium brand in Europe, the customer experience especially at dealer level needs fundamental improvement.

I already know what your response will be: “This is not our responsibility, we regret the situation,” followed by a standard explanation.

At the very least, when replying to a customer, please avoid using generic, AI generated responses that clearly demonstrate a lack of genuine interest in customer satisfaction.

The Sales Manager in Tilst would benefit from understanding this lesson.

For job interview for Exterior Design.

For job interview for Exterior Design.

They asked to do an impossible 1 week project. No clear explanation and slow response.

Asking for free work basically to design 3 vehicles in a week and then leading to no response directly with a thank you to contributors.

Awful company, don’t waste your time and effort.

I was genuinely excited when I ordered…BUT..

I was genuinely excited when I ordered my XPeng in January 2025. I was told the wait would be around two months, and the team were friendly and helpful at the start. In reality, the car took six months to arrive, and I had to constantly chase for updates. Each time I followed up, I was told it had been delayed again.

When the car finally arrived, I was happy with it and would’ve recommended it based on the driving experience alone.

However, two months ago a small tree branch—really more of a stick—fell on the panoramic glass roof and cracked it. Annoying, but that’s what insurance is for. What I didn’t expect is to be waiting two full months (and counting) for a replacement part. I’ve had to chase every update myself, and this week I was told the ship carrying the part has been delayed with no ETA for when it will arrive.

I honestly can’t believe the Australian distributor doesn’t keep essential spare parts in local stock. It means that even minor repairs can turn into months of downtime.

I enjoyed the car, but the after-sales support and parts availability in Australia have been extremely disappointing. XPeng really needs to improve how it operates here.

X-peng G6 ok car, worrying support

We have had this car for about a week, and we like it, drives well, looks nice but I probably wouldn’t buy one, luckily, we have leased ours. The set up is not very professional once you have it. We test drove it and someone bought it to the house, said we can watch Netflix in the car (you can’t without attaching a device) that we would have support as we were worried about the distance to the dealership, said yes that was in place (it isn’t). The first time I charged it in a supermarket carpark the charging cable got stuck, none of the contact options for support were open, had to google what to do and borrow a screwdriver to open the back of the car and manually pull the release cord. Put it on charge at home and same thing happens with a message to call customer services on the screen to verify something (with a number in Norway), call the UK customer services the next day and they tell me to call a dealer and I would need to take it in (2 hours away) call the dealer they say they are not well set up for these cars as have just started to support them and I should read the manual and call them back? The online manual under charging has no instruction about the charger cable being stuck, it does refer to the manual release which I am familiar with. The service person then said if I can’t find the answer, they would have to look into it, but they are not familiar with the technical side. I understand that as they are new to it but not that helpful to me and feels slightly unnerving knowing that – maybe don’t lead with it when people call? I will call them again next week and hope to arrange a day out in Guildford where they may or may not know anything about my car, but hey I have plenty of annual leave and a drive round the M25 is always fun. My son has named this the Temu Tesla, our last car was a Tesla and the days of a response to the app in a few minutes, fixes sent remotely and sending someone to you to fix an issue if really necessary (only happened once) and watching Netflix on the screen whilst waiting for my son are over. Not to mention the far far superior user experience from Tesla both in the car and in how it drives. Shame but there we are – come back to me Elon all is forgiven! Huge lesson in you get what you pay for.

One of the biggest disappointments—an excellent car overshadowed by extremely poor sales and support, including the financial company backing XPENG in Stockholm, Sweden. You’re initially offered one thing, only to later face completely different conditions and terms—a classic case of bait-and-switch. While the cars themselves are great, everything else is unacceptably flawed. If you visit the store, everything seems fine until you realize that the agreement and offer you were promised have suddenly changed.

AVOID until XPENG improves its policies and level of service. This is a major misstep at the very beginning of their business in Sweden. I initially did a lot of marketing for them because I was impressed with the car, but now I regret it completely. If XPENG doesn’t take serious action, the future of the brand looks highly uncertain.
