Fast shipping, and great shoes

Multiple defected New Balance Numeric 933's.

My partner bought me a pair for my Birthday. The item arrived severely defected with a stain on one of the shoes, as if they had been worn. After several attempts to return them as the shop would not accept their return sheet (which we had to print in our own time, who doesn't use a QR code?) - we were assured they would be sent instantly, they didnt, it took two weeks for them to send the new pair (longer than standard delivery, how does that work?!). A manager offered us an item of skatedeluxe homebrand which I wasn't keen on, it's clearly leftover sales stock they cant move. We requested monetary compensation for wasted time, Skatedeluxe refused. The new shoes finally arrived, guess what? One of the shoes was also defected, so we waited two weeks for a replacement and the replacement wasn't acceptable. When we called out Skatedeluxe they simply just stated if we sent them back they would double check this time, why didn't you the first time? We aren't wasting anymore time with Skatedeluxe, they completely let us down and failed us as a customer. We are getting a refund, shame our time and efforts have been completely wasted. Awful experience. Check your items upon receiving them.

UPDATED - Skatedeluxe cancelled our return request in an attempt to pursuade us to take a third pair of shoes. So, my parnter, who finally had time to print the return label today, went out of her way to do this, then couldn't because the Representative dealing with this cancelled it last minute. So, no we have to wait to confirm another return label, and do this process again. This is absolutely embarrassing, the worst customer service I have ever seen. Why would we accept your assurance of a third pair, when you couldn't ensure the first two over a month period. An absolute circus experience.

*Edit* based on Skatedeluxe's response. There was no misunderstanding, don't even attempt to put that on us. We submitted a return request. When my partner finally arrived to complete the return Skatedeluxe had cancelled it and there was no option to gain another one without contacting Skatedeluxe directly. My poor partner wasted even more time after your incompetence. I expect the refund to be progressed immediately upon confirmation of us returning to a designated drop off spot - NOT when you recieve it. You have messed us about enough, we want the money back to order a new pair of shoes from Route One, you have held us up enough, the bare minimum you can do is that.
