I ordered a lovely lampshade and got a free gift with it, I didn’t want the free gift but the order wouldn’t allow me to remove it. When the item arrived the colour was different to the picture. I asked to return the item and then commenced the email battle of taking ages to respond and keep offering me a partial refund if I keep the item … they are persistent. I was adamant I wanted to return the item as it dosent match. I had to pay for 2 items to be returned. This was about 3 weeks ago … now the company are saying the items have been missed for quality control checks. I have been fobbed off time and time again…. I’m still not convinced I will get a refund yet so shall have to take it further. I wouldn’t buy another thing from this company… it’s an absolute farce!!!
Don’t listen to this 5 star things. Honestly . Worst thing ever. Bought a shed from living and home through wowcher. I received 3/3 packages. Obviously im not going to build the shed in December which i understand why they’ll put a big sale on it. So I waited a couple months. I open the boxes to realise a bunch of pieces were missing. I contact them they run me through 3 different help emails and land me to the same answer anyways. 6 months has gone and nothing they can help me on. Okay cool. So I take my losses and try build it anyways DIY. we haven’t got to the best bit. I open the 3rd box thinking it would be the door of the shed. Opening it to my surprise is a WHOLE DIFFERENT ITEM. A Jetski holder??? Please don’t buy this I wasted time and money. They automate messages so don’t get upset when you don’t get a human reply. They clog up their phone lines so you don’t call them and they are “busy”
DO NOT BUY FROM living and home and wowcher WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE FOR OVER 10 YEARS OF ONLINE SHOPPING
A beautifully crafted lampshade with a black pendant. Casts lovely light. Well boxed and fast delivery. Thank you
Ordered a bike shed back in December. It arrived in two parts, one part of the hinge was broken on arrival, it was an easy fix with a screw or so i thought... 5 months later the shed is falling apart after little use. They are trying to blame on use and had the audacity to ask me to repair it myself in exchange for £80. I have now spent 2 months back and forth on emails trying to get it fixed. I should have paid attention to the reviews before buying from Living and Home.
Do not touch this company. 2 mirrors arrived broken. Paid for express delivery nothing arrived. Had the temerity to suggest I had to purse a different company for the delivery refund. Asked for a manager to call. Couldn’t be bothered.
Tried to raise a formal complaint- ignored. Delivery company walked over package
Cowboy company
Ordered a solar garden umbrella from Debenhams website. Thought I was getting a bargin as reduced from £100+ to £88.
First issue- did not arrive on delivery date. I was advised that parcel was larger than expected so it would have to be delivered by another method. So I waited. Still no sign of parcel again and was advised that the parcel had been MISPLACED. How could this parcel be misplaced if it was too large for normal delivery???
It arrived over a week late.
Second issue- We had the umbrella working, being able to turn the handle to put it down and up, then we could not get it to close. I contacted 'Living and Home' after Debenhams would not take responsibility for the item. I was advised to send picutre after picture after video attempting to tighten screw and showing that the umbrella would
NOT go down to its closed position. I felt like this company were doing everthing they could to stop me getting an exchange. All I wanted was a working umbrella. Was this too much to ask for.
I was offered an insulting £10 refund and advised that I could keep the umbrella and ' sell it' ? ? I advised them 'who in their right mind would accept this' all I wanted was a working umbrella.
As I have now been quite stern about them sending me a box, for return, they are now stating the umbrella is 'out of stock so they can't exchange and offered me 40% back.
This is getting beyond a joke now. I am totally stressed about how they have handled, or more to the point not bandled, this complaint made. I would never in a million years purchase anything else from this company. I understand that they will read this review so just get it sorted. I have also advised should I send this item back we will have to force it closed to enable return. DISGUSTING!!! No taking responsibility for an item NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.
Delighted with lampshade, great quality and easy purchase and delivery
Easy to order, great price and very happy with the dog guard I bought :)
They scammed me R4 000 and then tried to get some more (1 500) by forcing me to pay for insurance ( not binding by the law) did I get my furniture? NOPE! It’s A Scam doll.
Love and light
A home office chair ordered on the Debenhams website ended up being dealt with by Living & Home.
Deliveries are by InPost with little tracking detail - I ended up with the large box left in front of the door on two occasions without notice. Items badly packed, with heavy metal parts, such as the cylinder for the chair support and base being loose. The probably resulted in several scratches and gouges to the 'wood' parts of the chair.
Emails to returns dept. of Living & Home do not get a quick reply. I was offered a partial refund (35%) to keep the chair, but declined. It was only when I stated that I would start a 'transaction dispute' that I received news saying a new chair would be sent out and the original one could be kept as spares. Extremely poor customer service and not recommended at all.
The order was actioned immediately and made straight away so quickly they didn't even have time to remove the filling all over the chair cushions. They were made so quickly they forgot something important, yes, the fire labels. Instead of attaching the labels they were just put inside. All fire labels by law must be attached by the manufacturer to all furnishings, throwing the fire label lose in to the bag does not count, therefore you should not have sold the item/s. Would I buy from them again probably not, would I recommend them, definitely no.
We placed an order on the Debenhams Web cite for a Garden Table on the 29th may It got delivered on the 1st June which was good, when we opened the Box the colour was different to what we wanted so I didn't hesitate to contact them for a collection and refund. What a nightmare I had trying to contact them, I sent so many emails and i never got a reply from the same person. I was told I could keep the table for a discounted price which I didn't want I just wanted my refund. I was told it can take up to 19 days for a refund but I had to wait a month and then I didn't get the full amount because of some charge that Debenhams has to make. I have never know customer service like itand I wouldn't recommend them and I won't use them again
Buying this product through Wowcher from Living and Home was easy enough, but unfortunately that’s where the good experience ended.
The product arrived with missing parts, making it completely unusable and essentially a pile of scrap metal. I reported the missing parts immediately, but after two months of emails, I still haven’t received them.
The company has also failed to collect the unusable product or provide me with a refund.
Two months to resolve a straightforward issue is completely unacceptable. Very poor-quality product and extremely disappointing customer service. Based on my experience, I would not recommend.
I have now been waiting days for an idea of how to return an item! They have said that I can keep the item, and receive 50% of the purchase price back - I have said No - I want to return and get a refund in 3 emails! The item is flimsy and unsuitable!
Fortunately the item was inexpensive as I fear I shall NEVER get any money back - sharletons and thieves - comes to mind!
The website led me to believe I was buying from Debenhams!
My advice, don’t use this company!
Never received shoes and they refused to reply to emails. Have been unable to contact them. Total scam
They just think people are fools and will just not say anything. Both B&Q and Living and Home are NOT taking responsibility for providing a refund after a FAULTY fridge/freezer delivery. I refused the delivery on Day 1 as asked by B&Q and then the NEXT DAY they dumped without any notification. I have TEXT messages and email that this would be sent to the seller and rearrange if required, BUT THE AMN WEARING AMAZON LOGO HIGHVIS DUMPED THE BROKEN/FAULTY GOODS AND LEFT WITHOUT NOTIFICATION OR AN ADULT PRESENT IN THE HOUSE, DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR AND MISLEADING BY WEARING AMAZON LOGO HIGH VIS.
