Easy to buy the product, fits my small kitchen perfectly and meets my needs. Delivery was prompt and the delivery driver (DPD) was very helpful bringing the appliance into the house for me. When I called prior to buying I actually spoke to a person and they were very helpful. I’d recommend using this company.

I had to return my new fridge freezer for a different one because of the size.
The phone service was very helpful and i was kept informed of delivers and pick up.
The delivery people were friendly and helpful.
I had to pay extra for the pick up and return of the first fridge freezer which was deducted from my refund.
Hopefully the refund we be credited to my bank account soon.

Excellent service item was deliveres on time with no damage

I purchased a Beko DTBC10001W tumble dryer from Appliances Direct for £319 on 19 October 2025. 12 days after its first anniversary, the machine suffered a serious and dangerous failure.

During use on a Cupboard Dry setting an acrid burning smell filled the entire room. Our clothes smelt burnt, and we immediately disconnected the appliance from the electricity supply. The drum was so hot it was impossible to touch.

This wasn’t simply a machine that stopped working. It was an electrical appliance exhibiting clear signs of drastic overheating, with potentially serious safety implications.

I contacted Appliances Direct on 31 October, explaining exactly what had happened and requesting a resolution under my statutory consumer rights.

It is now 5 November, and I have received no response or proposed resolution.

This is staggering. A customer reports that an electrical appliance purchased from your company has potentially overheated to the point of filling a room with a burning smell, and five days later you have still failed to address the issue in any way.

Quite apart from the safety concerns, a £319 tumble dryer should reasonably be expected to last considerably longer than 12 months. The expiry of a manufacturer’s warranty does not extinguish a retailer’s obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

What makes this particularly disappointing is the apparent lack of urgency or concern about what could have been a very serious incident.

If this is how Appliances Direct responds when a customer reports a potentially dangerous appliance failure, I would strongly advise others to think carefully before buying from them.

I am still waiting for Appliances Direct to take responsibility and provide a satisfactory resolution.

Ordered a lovely cream retro fridge and at all times the customer service was exceptional as well as the delivery driver who was extremely helpful.

Good service however I asked to make sure the appliance was level before they left. It seemed they were in a hurry and only when I insisted they did they check level. By the way I did pay for installation.
