⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent,Affordable and trustworthy

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent and Affordable Travel Insurance – Highly Recommended!

I had a very good experience with AXA Travel Insurance. It is especially good and affordable for older people traveling in Europe.

Last year, my parents visa was refused, and AXA refunded all my money without any problems. The process was smooth and trustworthy.

This year my parents came to Germany and they were sick and treate in hospital In Germany, where health costs are very expensive, AXA covered the medical expenses and compensated immediately. There were no extra questions, no unnecessary delays, and no complicated document requirements.

Everything was simple, fast, and easy to manage. Because of my positive experience, I strongly recommend AXA Travel Insurance to everyone, especially senior travelers.

AXA Belgium’s system automatically…

AXA Belgium’s system automatically changes travel dates, name, and country, which can make coverage invalid. My reimbursement request was also mishandled with inconsistent explanations. Extreme caution is advised, especially for international travelers

I was a client for 3 years with them. They canceled my insurance without warning, just because I missed 2 months debit. They promised a new policy,I paid what they asked, then refused to help. Always late with documents, even when paid on time.

Very unprofessional — they don’t care about customers...Now because of them I’m left urgently looking for a new insurance. Not recommended at all.

I have had two experiences with axa…

I have had two experiences with axa insurance
, both times they refused to pay out. Once on home insurance and one on travel insurance. I have never come across an insurance company that is so reluctant to honour a claim-will never waste my money on another Axa policy. Total waste of time and money

Oh my God

Oh my God , never buy travelling insurance through Axa . They’ve left me stranded in a hospital in Morocco 🇲🇦.
When I finally get through to them on the phone, they tell me they have problems and cannot access their emails and that’s it. Heard nothing.

AXA's travel insurance is a scam

AXA's travel insurance is a scam. My partner had to seek urgent medical treatment at a Swiss hospital, which we cleared with AXA first. We followed all their documentation instructions to the letter but when it came time to pay the bills they flat out refused because they didn't like the formatting of the hospital invoices (!).

The only answer we got was to send them "the full invoice on one page" but it was a treatment requiring two repeat visits so the hospital generated three invoices. This was thoroughly documented through the doctors note, but the only reply we got was that they need "the full invoice on one page". When asked what that means they just repeated the same thing. Like we can change how Swiss hospitals do their invoicing, long after we left the country. In the end they just closed our claim without any reimbursement or explanation of what information was actually missing in our claim. I read their own claim instructions back to them asking what was missing, but it was like talking to a wall. Somebody should call the police on these guys.

Avoid AXA For Travel Insurance

Earlier this year, my partner and I took out holiday insurance for a trip to the US through Travel Counsellors, who have an arrangement with Rock Insurance (with the policy supplied by AXA). Unfortunately, my partner's mother died unexpectedly while we were in America and we had to spend £3000 to come home early. Despite filling in all the forms correctly and supplying countless receipts as requested, we are still awaiting reimbursement some 8 weeks later. Just not good enough.

**UPDATE 3/7/24** AXA finally paid me! Not sure if this was in response to my reviews but the good news is that they made good on their promise...eventually. You will need to judge whether their slowness is acceptable to you or not.

Impossible to reach your destination? That's your problem...

We had to cancel our holidays because of a national strike at the destination, which made it impossible to carry out our road trip (as all fuel stations were closed since 3 weeks, it was impossible to reach our lodging destinations), confirmed by foreign affairs with negative advice to travel. According to AXA this was not covered by their policy... I don't know what is then...

Great online experience

Sorted what I needed – good price – and great not to have to suffer a phone call and up selling. Four-star – as I don't know what it will be like if I need to claim on it.

Terrible travel insurance company

They should get someone to answer their phones. Terrible customer support. Emails take days to be replied to.
I had emergency surgery for a broken leg that was delayed by a day. AXA told the hospital I was insured but they did not authorise my emergency surgery until the next day. They did not even reply to the hospital in sufficient time. Meanwhile I was lying in a backslab with a terribly broken leg.

If I could put 0 I would

If I could put 0 I would. This is the worst insurance I have ever seen. They really do whatever they could, lying too, to don't give you the services you paid for and when I had an accident with 100% fault of the other person the insurance didn't assist me or gave me even 1 euro back. If you call them to ask updates they tell you they hang up or tell you to stop calling and that they will call you back when they have something, which is never. Run away from AXA.

An insurance company that will do everything in their power to not reimburse an emergency event. Even when they confirm by phone before the step to the hospital takes place, the would. Now ending up in court. P

Unreliable/Unresponsive Partner

This company is terrible in customer service. I've been waiting for two months for a claim (they say it would take less than 30 days). Every time I call they tell me they're busy and will call me back the same day or the next day. However, that never happens.

In addition, they ask 3-4 times for the same documents which already have been shared.

I got my insurance through my credit card company (ICS/Mastercard) and would have never taken it if I knew AXA would be the partner to handle these issues.

I would recommend people never to take insurance with AXA.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever. They work on black and white and completely without human compassion and consideration. I made an error during an online quote and due to other personal circumstances at the time failed to update it correctly. They hav3 cancelled my cover and now I have the misfortune of having to declare on every application that I have had cover cancelled. This was nothing more than a human error and when I raised a complaint, they replied that the6 have done all that is expected of them. A totally inhuman response expected from despots and so I will now have increased premiums for insurance quotes. There is no human compassion and a total indifference towards any customer. Yes they are cheap, but cheap for a reason. They are totally uncaring and only interested in net profits. Go with them at your peril, but remember these 4 little words.. “I TOLD YOU SO”.

Fought this through the ombudsman and they were made to pay compensation. Probably stripped down a peg too.
