Absolutely Fantastic Company
I have ordered from Master of Malt a handful of times as they have a specific Whiskey someone I know loves. On this occasion, I paid extra for a next day delivery directly to my friend, unfortunately I got let down by the courier. I was a bit stuck as: a) I was going to be away, b) I was unsure if my friend would be in to receive the gift and c) the courier's site was down so I could not rearrange anything. This is where Katie from Master of Malt went above and beyond - she kept an eye on the tracking for me, when the courier site was working she requested that if no one was in on Friday to have the order redelivered after the Bank Holiday and she could not have been more gracious about the whole situation. Luckily, someone was in to receive the order and the Whiskey was enjoyed over the Bank Holiday weekend :)

DO NOT ORDER FROM NEW ZEALAND
DO NOT ORDER FROM NEW ZEALAND! I ordered a couple of Advent calendars last Christmas. All together 50 small vials of whiskey and rum. I was prepared for the alcohol tax and duty fees, but Master of Malt forgot to mention that they listed all vials separately on the shipping list, and the shipping company charged a fee for each line item to process the import. The price of the 2 items was about 720 NZD, and the shipping bill came to a hefty 650.51 NZD! After a few email exchanges, they didn't take full responsibility for this mistake and gave me a gracious £100 contribution. Their product is great, but their customer service is extremely poor. I advised them to warn customers of this specific problem, but they do not seem to care much. I am disappointed and sad with their service.

Hi Krisztina - thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review of your experience.
I understand that receiving the bill for Customs clearance must have been quite the shock and I understand the points you have raised. Unfortunately, we do have to provide an export invoice for customs which details the contents of the parcel, and where the retail product contains multiple different items, these also need to be listed. Sadly, some Customs departments throughout the world apply an additional charge for multiple line items and we unfortunately aren’t able to predict when or where this might be applied.
In the past we have tried different ways of listing these contents, including grouping them as you have suggested. Unfortunately, this has proven tricky because it only works when the contents all have the same spirits classification (and therefore the same commodity code), ABV and country of origin.
I would encourage all of our customers to raise any potential issues at the time of occurrence, as we absolutely do care and will do everything possible to assist although we are somewhat tied to what is and isn’t accepted by Customs. That said, we are working with our couriers to find out if there is a way this can be done that is better for our customers.

I’ve ordered a few times and the experience has always been been great. They have a good selection of alcohol. I didn’t notice that their glassware is really well priced, I’ve purchased a few times. When I ordered last time I made a mistake, emailed customer service and they came back to me very quickly and helped me out.
