The vendor sent the wrong but was willing to give up on the items but Wallapop requested I sent them back to the vendor and provided a return label. When I provided the return label to the post office in order to return the items, the post office agent said the return label doesn’t work so i contacted them and they asked me to return to post office and still didn t work until i gave up and lost my money. It was my first trial that i will never repeat again!

WALLAPOP is actually WALLAPOOP

WALLAPOP is awful. They allow scammers to permeate their system. A fraudulent vendor sold me a fake product that was not as advertised. I produced screenshots and documented evidence to illustrate the fraud. Wallapoop simply does not care about the buyers. I have dropped them. I WILL NEVER BUY THROUGH WALLAPOOP AGAIN.

Not a platform worth trusting.

Like everyone else, a bad experience.

Their customer service is entirely useless and despite providing clear evidence that I didn't receive what I was supposed to receive, they didn't return my money.

Also, you pay an "insurance" when you buy from Wallapop, but clearly that insurance does nothing if sellers are free to scam you.
What this should be called is something I can't call them without getting my review taken down, but clearly buying on Wallapop is a case of Caveat Emptor, buyer beware, because Wallapop won't help you.

Stay away from Wallapop

Stay away from Wallapop. I got scammed for almost 500 EUR as a seller. If buyer makes a video when product alledgedly does not work, Wallapop will approve a return. Then a scammer puts garbage in a box with the exactly the same weight and that's it. You get it by post and the moment you got it (or refused) the money are gone. Seller is left with nothing. That's the reason why so many people are scared to ship items through Wallapop. Because it's scewed up. They tell to all sellers who got scammed that way they cannot disclose anything more and you should go to police. That goes on and on and Catalans will never change their processes. Never. They don't learn, Spanish education system is for disabled. I called them idiots then and they blocked my account.

Worst rubbish site I ever tried to sell...Just opened account tried to put up for sell an item..until i got to the garbage part " where you want your item to be seen" or something of that effect .I wrote portugal ,spain Italy the three countries that has this Lolopoop. It chose a place somewhere in Madrid.Then tried again this time placed my post code..I tried various times the system placed a wrong post code every time.Then is the item description their given option is used a lot or new and is the system WHO DESCRIBES MY ITEM?Clearly a malicious intentions to mislead the ( a)potential buyer..
If the system is that bad and complicated to sell ..my guess the rest isn't any better...I'm getting out of here fast as I can.

Careful The Protection is a Scam

Goods sold as good condition but arrive none working and not as described, the protection is none existent Wallapop do nothing to protect you as the buyer against Scammers.

Update: Wallapops own customer services just confirmed that if a seller puts "don't know if it works" "on there listing they will support them no matter the condition the item is advertised as. And Then asked me to contact the seller again for a resolution. What an absolute Joke of a company 0 stars would be more suited

Worst buying experience in my life

Worst buying experience in my life. I’ve created an account with wallapop and ordered a PlayStation 5. It all happened in Spain. A few hours later I wasn’t able to login to my account by ANY MEANS. My account seems to be blacklisted for no reason, and no warning was received. So now I don’t have money, can’t access my account, and I can’t communicate seller. But I still receive the push notifications somehow so I know they already shipped the package. I don’t know how I will receive the item because the delivery was ordered to a locker near my house. Support is silent for 2 days straight. I’m absolutely angry and feel totally frustrated.

In other words, buy things in person.
And review well before accepting anything
As sometimes sellers don’t always tell the truth.
Used product could be 3 moths old or 3 years in difference but the seller tell you “as good as new”! Which is a breach of trust.

A Platform That Protects and Supports Scammers

I had a truly disappointing experience with Wallapop. I bought an item listed as “brand new with tags”, but what I received was a completely different product — damaged and clearly used.

I immediately reported the issue, providing clear photos and two videos as evidence. Unfortunately, Wallapop rejected my claim, saying that I “should have filmed the item and the shipping box together in a single video.” At the time, I was in a different country and didn’t have access to the box, so I did the best I could under the circumstances.

Despite this, I went out of my way to ship the box internationally to where I was, created new proof following their request, and submitted everything again. Still, they rejected it — without any personalized message, reasoning, or proper attention to the case. All I got were generic template replies and a painfully slow process that went nowhere.

Wallapop’s system seems more focused on protecting scammers than supporting honest users. Extremely poor customer service, no accountability, and no common sense.

I absolutely do not recommend this platform. Use alternatives where customer protection actually exists.

They do not assume responsibility for errors.

I've had to receive a package in a 4h window and after this 4h window I need to work, I work on spot so if I can't be there at the time the work is gone to someone else if they are in a hurry such as this case.

So the package arrive with more than 45 minutes of delay and due to that I couldn't obviously go to work, which means I paid them 50€ to delivery my good and lost another 80€ for not being able to work.

And now no compensation even partial.

And then they answer me here telling to contact assistance, which I obviously already did as you can see by my text.

So indicating:

1) they don't read here.
2) They treat us like stupid users and are just trying to save the face answering here.

Zero support or justice from Wallapop.

I have been scammed by a seller who took my money and falsely advertised the item. It was very misleading. I have tried to escalate a complaint with Wallapop seeking their help and support but there is no direct contact. Kate eventually replies and does not help with the matter at all, she actually advised me to take it up with the authorities? … instead of them acting as mediator, and as a duty of care. There is no explanation for why they’re not going to take action either. They have not penalised the seller at all. Nor refunded my money. Avoid this app completely. If you know of a direct person to contact ( other than “ kate”) please do let me know.

Extortionate protection fees and slow to revert payments when sellers are unresponsive

Good platform/marketplace in general, but the "protection fees" are ridiculous and half of the sellers do not deliver the items after you've paid for them - they simply do not respond at all and you are stuck without your money and without the item you paid for during at least a week. Wallapop should ask buyers if they want to pay the protection fee or not, especially for very low value items.

Buena plataforma/mercado en general, pero las "comisiones de protección" son ridículas y la mitad de los vendedores no entregan los artículos después de que los has pagado; simplemente no responden y te quedas sin tu dinero y sin el producto durante al menos una semana. Wallapop debería preguntar a los compradores si desean pagar la comisión de protección o no, especialmente en artículos de muy bajo valor.

Unfair Account Ban and €340 Withheld Without Explanation

I’m extremely disappointed with Wallapop’s customer service and handling of my account.

My account was suddenly deactivated with no clear explanation. They claimed I violated “payment regulations,” but the only thing I did was sell/buy as normal, through the platform.

Worse still, I have €340 pending from a recent purchase, and now I have no access to my account or my money. Wallapop refuses to specify what I did wrong or give me a chance to appeal the decision. I’ve asked for clarification and a review, but received only a generic response saying the decision is final.

This kind of opaque and aggressive behavior is unacceptable, especially when it involves real money. I’ve been a genuine user and followed the platform’s rules in good faith. Instead of helping me resolve this, Wallapop shut me out completely.
