I experienced a long-running WAN signal issue with my smart meter, which caused repeated problems with Automatic Top-Up and syncing between the meter and the app. Despite the frustration this caused over several months, Pinergy’s Customer Services team handled it exceptionally well.
Maeve in particular was consistently proactive, patient, and thorough... following up even after the main issues were resolved, keeping me informed, and making sure everything was properly credited. Caolán, Tara, and Keelan were also helpful along the way.
It’s clear the infrastructure limitations at some properties are outside the team’s control, but the level of care and follow-through from Pinergy’s support staff made a genuinely difficult situation much easier to deal with. I would recommend Pinergy based on the service alone.
Having been with Pinergy for three years on their EV tariff, they email us this week to say our contract is ended. And their EV tariff is no longer available... WHY???
If we stay with them they offer only their "Family Time" tariff which is a night rate price hike from 6¢/kWh to 25¢/kWh. Outrageous... by over 300%.
Sorry Pinergy, you've failed badly here. We're switching pronto.
BEWARE IF YOU'RE CURRENTLY ON THEIR EV TARIFF, THEY'RE WILL DROP YOU LIKE A BRICK!
I switched to Pinergy at the end of March. Just three months later, they announced they were doubling their EV night tariff.
You simply don’t do this. Either don’t sign people up to plans you already intend to change significantly, or honour the advertised prices for at least a year. If I changed my mind and wanted to leave, they would charge me an exit fee, but apparently they can change the deal after only a few months.
Stay away if you can.
I had a query which wasn't straightforward and Maeve was extremely helpful and courteous. Many thanks
After contacting Pinergy, I received a clear and detailed explanation of how my account operates, which significantly improved my understanding of the situation. They confirmed that they are strictly an electricity supplier and do not provide gas services, which immediately helped separate the two issues that had been causing confusion. They also explained that my supply operates on a Pay As You Go system, meaning that whenever my balance is depleted, the electricity is automatically disconnected and restored once payment is made.
In addition, they clarified that the heating interruption I experienced is not related to gas supply but is likely due to the heating system or its timer relying on electricity to function. This explanation was particularly important, as it resolved my assumption that both electricity and gas were being controlled by the same provider. Furthermore, they provided a transparent breakdown of charges and account status, which helped me fully understand my billing structure.
Overall, the engagement with Pinergy was constructive and reassuring, as it provided the missing technical and operational clarity that had previously led to misunderstanding regarding my utility arrangements.

Extremely disappointed with Pinergy Solar. I accepted and signed a formal written quote for €14,309.04, but after installation, I was invoiced €18,375.93—an unauthorized increase of over €4,000 with no explanation or variation agreement. Shockingly, they have now threatened to remotely disconnect my solar system if I do not pay this disputed balance. Furthermore, the post-install BER certificate is still outstanding. My formal complaints have been ignored. This matter is now being referred to my solicitor, the CCPC, and the CRU. Prospective customers should be very wary of post-install price hikes and aggressive collection tactics. Avoid.
I would like to thank Justine for the excellent and timely support provided and the thorough professionalism with which she handled the case.Team Pinergy is lucky to have a team member like Justine.

We regularly need to make phone contact with Pinergy and we wish to have it noted that Ryan consistently assists in any way he can and is always courteous and obliging in all matters. We are always delighted when Ryan answers the phone ! We do not have any issue with any other person but would like to commend Ryan as a pleasure to deal with.

I spoke with agent Carlie. Carlie helped me in a very professional and kind manner. I'm very nervous when it comes to computers and apps because I don't really understand what to do. Carlie was very patient and friendly, and she helped me in the best possible way, explained what needed to be done, took payment over the phone, and also ordered new cards for me to replace the old ones. I'm very happy with the company's service. Thank you very much!

We had our solar panels installed by Pinergy 3 years ago, all went well and we were happy with everything. However, on trying to seek advice recently we have been told Pinergy Solar no longer existed and that they have dropped the solar side of their business to concentrate on other ventures. This is really frustrating. We were told to contact the manufacturer of the panels for support/help/information. We are not sure why this has happened and feel we have been left high and dry. The Pinergy rep person we spoke to sounded like he’d been shipped in to fend off previous Pinergy solar customers, even saying at one point he’d had 1 hour of training to deal with the likes of me! We will be giving any future Pinergy ventures a wide birth and would recommend others to do the same. This kind of behaviour should be illegal. Maybe Pinergy ran for the hills regarding solar energy once they’d made their quick buck.. who knows…
Excellent customer service. I contacted Pinergy regarding a credit transfer to my new meter and Maeve resolved the issue on the same day I sent the first email. The process was quick, clear and very helpful. Thank you for the efficient support!
Thanks Maeve!

They are not the cheapest by any means, but their customer service is very helpful and responsive.
I’ve changed my tariff to Lifestyle from prepay, and they were very helpful during the whole process.

I have an error message appearing on my Eddi showing max temp reached. So the solar panels are not heating our water.
I was told to turn off the Eddi for forty minutes to see if that resolved the issue. It didn't and I contacted Pinergy again. I was told someone would phone me back.
No one did.
I called again. I was told to possibly contact the manufacturer as there was no support available in Pinergy and it could take months for an engineer to get back to me. I asked for the manufactuer of what, the Eddi or the panels, or the large red box in our attic. There are a lot of components to this solar stucture.
So I was given no help to resolve the issue and the issue is still not resolved. I have no hot water being generated from our solar panels.
The technical support service is very poor. They are quite happy to email you to ‘explain’ what you should do to correct the issue but there is no technical support. I have an issue with my solar battery which was installed by Pinergy. It is still under warranty. I logged the issue with them over 6 weeks ago and the only advice I’ve received is turn the system off and on again. This has not resolved the problem so I asked that they raise a ‘ticket’ for a technician to call out, but 4 weeks later still nothing. This is not good enough and the fault in my battery system is Al’s costing me money. The longer this drags on the more money it costs.
It was a pleasure dealing with your representative,Keelan. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and got my issue sorted without any fuss.
