Got sent wrong recipe so got in touch via email. Well its been over a week and no response. Ive lost money by buying the ingredients in and you'd expect them to remedy the problem promptly. Awful customer service and theres no way to contact them any other way. When things go wrong the app should be able to report it and not take ages to sort. Seems like a poorly run outfit

I’ve been a customer for around a year, I think it’s disgusting you promote cheaper boxes on TikTok and expect your long term customers to pay more, why am I paying £12 a box when on TikTok I’ve just seen a video and it’s a tenner?
I did used to enjoy the products but you never release any new recipes and it’s just gotten far too expensive for what is essentially spice mixes.
Do you ever reward your long term customers?
I don’t know what’s going on at SimplyCook HQ but you’ve lost your heads.
I’ve cancelled my subscription and my sister will be cancelling hers too. That’s two customers you’ve lost because of your underhand tactics.

I cook from scratch quite a bit but the Simply Cook pots are so handy when I want to make a tasty meal but am short on time.
My sister recommended me via the give a box get a box offer. I was refused the free box as my address had previously signed up to SimplyCook. I emailed Customer services and was sent the free box. I had a box delivered damaged, with one kit missing. Emailed again and the whole box was replaced.
You can freeze your subscription for up to 4 weeks and can repeatedly freeze the subscription as many times as you want.I have just joined supper club to save on postage, as after using for a while I know what my favourite kits are and want the Tamil Black Pepper Chicken more than once a month.

I’ve been using SimplyCook boxes for over a year now. I tend to use the various curry recipes, as they are really delicious and you don’t have to stock up on the myriad types of spices used in curries.
I take note of the Best Before dates on the boxes and rotate them accordingly. As we tend to have curry once every week I sometimes find I have to pause deliveries for a period of 2-3 months. This is easily done by email and the response is always very quick, polite and obliging. It’s a lovely, friendly company to deal with and highly recommended.

Firstly the majority of the recipes are delicious and are ready within 20 minutes.
On the negative side, we didn't receive a recipe box and had to repeatedly chase up our complaint. It took 2 weeks to resolve.
Some of the peel off lids are hard to open on the spice pots.

AVOID!!!!!
Boots offered me a free SimplyCook box, so I accepted it. SimplyCook then subscribed me to a paid plan without my clear knowledge or permission. A “free gift” should not secretly turn into a recurring subscription. Completely misleading and unacceptable.
My money was taken without my permission

I have enjoyed Simply Cook on and off for years, although when I opened my cupboard I realised I had over twenty boxes unopened. Clearly this has been poor management on my side. Hence delaying future orders. The subscription needs to be more flexible and the reason why the score is not higher is you have to open each box to find the expiry date. Please print this on the outside of small box as opening 20 boxes to find if I can use your product! Is messy. Love your Curry dishes.

Very reputable company. Great recipes and spices. Just buy ingredients. Easy to postpone when needed. Tend to cancel few months in summer and restart in autumn as this company is so easy to deal with and very accommodating Would definitely recommend

Tried a trial box. Read VERY carefully re repeated payments. Never recieved a confirmation email to confirm repeated payments, didnt recieve any information about creating an account, so thought I was safe to go ahead with the trial. Nope - got charged. Tried to go to my account to "manage my subscription", but i didnt make an account.. Tried to make one, you need a "code", was never sent a code and so on and so on.
Have attempted to email them, waiting on reply. I have asked them to provide evidence i ever authorised payment.

Free trial does not get sent if you cancel the subscription.
I ordered the free trial and to make sure I didn't forget to cancel if I didn't like it I cancelled premptively so I could just resubscribe.
They then cancelled the free trial and refunded the delivery fee.
I now cannot try the free trial as they stop me from signing up again.
I tried getting in touch with their customer service but it has been a week with no answer.

I emailed this company regarding an issue and it has been two days, but I still haven’t received a response. I even sent them a message via chat. Their response time is very poor and I’m very disappointed.

I've been using Simply Cook for years and I love them. Loads of variety, an easy to use app and the speedy response to emails is always great. And super helpful! The meals are all generally pretty easy and quick to cook. Tasty meals and a great price.

We have used SimplyCook for 8/9 years now and we absolutely love how tasty and simple the meals are. We particularly enjoy the teriyaki salmon donburi, crispy chilli beef, panneer spinach curry, miso cod donburi and moghul chicken curry. We could go on. One dish we do miss though is the west African peanut stew. I can see us using SimplyCook for years to come and look forward to any new recipes you are yet to bring out. Thank you

The food was OK and the online experience seemed pretty good. But I just hate the old school marketing ploy of trial offers that roll over into an automatic subscription. You can actually let people do a trial and then prompt them to sign up. It really wasn't made obvious, even if I'm sure there was some small print somewhere.

Good recipes, however was marketed to seem like Hello Fresh. Misleading, as they only send you "flavour pots" - thankfully I realised before payment! I had a £1.98 offer from Emma's Diary, which made it a reasonable purchase. However, it is astounding that they charge £11.98 as a standard! All you get is a recipe card and 3 "flavour pots" (better described as Mcdonalds ketchup packs) per meal.
Edit: Despite not signing up for this past the one discounted box, they have, without consent, put me on a subscription list. I was given 1 days notice to cancel, before they would have charged us £11.98 for a box we didn't order!

I won a 97 pence "pay postage-only" one off pack from SimplyCook after purchasing an applicance from a different retailler. However, a month later they have charged me £12 for their service even though I never signed up to any kind of subscription! This practice should be illegal - I never gave them consent to store my card details or to start a subscription. I will be attempting to get my money back for this fraudulent charge.
