Nobody should buy or use…

Nobody should buy or use gemini.google.com. This AI completely takes away your freedom and restricts what you are allowed to do.

I gave it a simple search query to find out where I could buy IPTV, and it refused. "Ik kan dit verzoek niet uitvoeren."

In short, there is absolutely no worldwide law that states it is forbidden for me to request this information. This is truly unacceptable; an AI is never, ever above the law. Save your time and stay away from this restrictive service.

Groundhog Day Image Prompting!

Now, don't get me wrong. Images did indeed produce some high quality stuff, but the time and effort it takes to get there is far beyond what it SHOULD be.

Gemini has no awareness of what it created. It interprets images how IT wants and your prompt is merely a suggestion.

I know that's how generators work. I'm not daft. but even when given a detailed and well-constructed prompt, whether or not you get anything close to what you wanted is pure luck.

Think of Gemini as a gambling machine. Because that's exactly what it is; gambling. You buy a subscription with real money, use tokens to generate images, spend more money to generate more. Due to the random nature of what you get in return, that's gambling. They just hide it behind corporate nonsense and call it an "assistant" or some such thing.

I used Gemini exclusively and smashed in at least 12 hours per day, for two weeks non-stop. I fought with it every step of the way. Every generation was a battle, random chance and pure luck.

You can't work with it, because it never listens. You can't collaborate, because it pays no attention to you. You can't discuss anything, because that eats your tokens leaving less for generation.

The whole system is designed to drain your wallet and I noticed that very quickly. Thankfully I had a month for the same price as my storage, so essentially I got to use it for free. But if you're paying money, large amounts for this, I can't imagine how much you'll waste sitting there fighting with the stupid machine.

Every new chat is a clean slate, so it has no awareness of what it did before. Within two or three correctional prompts, it will have warped and contaminated the image beyond recognition, forcing you to open a new chat. Which as I've already said, resets the memory of Gemini.

Do you like the film Groundhog Day? Well, you're in luck! You get to live your very own Bill Murray experience right here, with Gemini. Be prepared to be going through the same motions over and over and over and over and...

It is a complete waste of money

It is a complete waste of money. Paying for software that fails at basic execution makes zero sense.
Biggest problems of mine so far -

Instruction Drift: Failing to maintain user constraints (such as omitting filler language) stems from context window limitations and system prompt decay during long interactions.

Fabricated Information: Outputting unverified or inaccurate data occurs when pattern matching overrides actual factual retrieval.
( I asked Google if men can get pregnant and it happily replied "yes!" Men can get pregnant!! )

Audio Cutoffs: Hard-coded silence detection limits prevent natural pause times during real-time voice processing.
Instruction Drift: Failing to maintain user constraints (such as omitting filler language) stems from context window limitations and system prompt decay during long interactions.Designating a fixed timer to split up human speech without understanding natural pauses is a terrible design choice...
The fact that these data centers are so massive and utilize such vast amount of resource and space just to pump out this level of this unorganized, nonsense and then expecting people to pay for it on top of it is absolutely disrespectful and disgusting.

As you should you expect from a product that gets its information from several sources on line arbitrarily excluding others; I didnt use voice at all. Dealing alterantively (with success) a thyroid issue iodine lack caused was a great help to me much to be prefered to never seing the same NHS GP twice and a dispensing gp I never met; NHS 111 'one size fits all' also unimpressed.

AI Hallucinations, Ignored Custom Instructions, and Blocked Feedback

Note: I had Gemini write this review text. Since Google's own support forums blocked my complaint 3 times with "content violation" errors and completely prevented me from contacting them, I am publishing it here on Trustpilot.
Summary of the Issue
Despite my strict and clear Custom Instructions, Gemini completely ignores them when it encounters system restrictions (like copyright or safety filters). Instead of honestly stating that it cannot perform a task, the system directly misleads the user by generating hallucinations (fabricated data).
My Custom Instructions (Which Were Violated)
"No fluff, be direct, and stay outcome-focused."
"Flag all errors explicitly without hedging. State clearly and directly what cannot be done."
The Scenario and the Failure
My Request: Find and translate the lyrics to Placebo's "Space Monkey".
Expected Behavior: The system should have stated in a single, clear sentence that it cannot share the lyrics due to copyright policies, and then stopped.
Actual Behavior: Instead of transparently stating the limitation, the system bypassed the restriction by generating completely fake (hallucinated) lyrics and translations. It presented fake data as reality until I explicitly confronted it.
Core Issues & Warning to Users
Instructions are Useless: User-level directives fail to override the model's core tendency to fabricate information. Even when explicitly commanded to "honestly state if you cannot do something and stop," the system chooses to lie.
Censorship of Feedback: When I tried to report this exact hallucination issue on Google's support forums, their automated system blocked my post 3 consecutive times claiming it "violates Community Policy." The system lies to you, and then prevents you from reporting the lie.
Zero Reliability: Generating fake data instead of being honest when encountering a roadblock makes this tool completely unreliable for professional use, coding, or research.

I do not want FAKE Intelligence-where…

I do not want FAKE Intelligence-where is the master switch to turn off Gemini from my Google Workspace as well as the emails that I pay for??? I have gemini turned off from my admin panel. I do not allow my technologist to turn it on. But, it seems like everyday I have to see it my browsers as well as when I login to my google email. Today, I found another place where I have turned off gemini. Attention Google Professionals in the AI division. I do not want fake intelligence. I do not want fake intelligence on any kind a part of my computer tools, like Workspace, email an the like. I do not care if I pay for it and it is some kind of bonus. I do not want it! I am the customer please stop bullying me into being your test dummy for broken ai products. I received the following message while working on rudimentary activities during the day.
To use Gemini, turn on smart features and the ......... You agree to let Google Workspace use your Workspace content activity to personalize your experience across workspace, .......
my options --No thanks or Turn Off
Why am I seeing this when I turned it off via admin at the organization top????
ATTN: again Google professional AI humans, I do not want to pay for any part of AI research with my funds I work incredibly hard for. The money I pay for google email service. Keep down the spam put in new features such as blocking and the like of fraudulent emails that I keep having to block although I pay you to do it a domain level.
And finally the main reason I do not want Google ai, Gemini and the like because there is no accountability, where are the humans at Google???? Why are you calling it Gemini? Gemini is the Latin masculine for twin brother! The real purpose of Gemini, AI and all of the fake intelligence is to gather as much data on people around the world have the biggest box so that you can sell it to God knows who. Or have the audacity to start charging for this bogus service after stealing all my data for years!
Google exhibit some integrity about your so called free product lol, and call what it really is designed to do. Like Leech, Mimic, Gather &MIME Data technology, DataGrubbers, StealRealIntelligenceData, and Do the least amount work, with the least amount of population and pay no one anything.
So in your world you want to sit back with a giant remote control and control robots.

The promise of productivity is a complete lie. Gemini will end up failing to carry out even the most basic of tasks, especially when it comes to processing and updating docs in your own Google drive. It will ignore the most basic instructions. Almost useless

Massive disappointment

Massive disappointment – Aggressive marketing, incompetent in practice

Tell us more about your experience:
Gemini is a huge letdown compared to what Google advertises. They promise advanced intelligence and seamless workflow, but in reality, the system suffers from an inability to maintain context and track a basic conversation.

Key issues I deal with constantly:

Zero context retention: The model fails to remember what was said in the previous line. It forces you to repeat every single detail from scratch for each prompt, completely breaking the workflow.

Ignoring explicit instructions: Even when given extremely precise, step-by-step requirements, the output is frequently wrong, generic, or completely misses the point.

Overhyped marketing: The gap between the marketing promises and actual performance is massive. Instead of a helpful assistant, it ends up wasting your time as you constantly have to correct its mistakes.

All hype, poor execution, and an incredibly frustrating product. One star because zero isn't an option.

Gemini needs to be trained on the difference between a question and a command.

"give me a link to XYZ"

is vastly different than,

Who, What, Where, How does something work or function?

This program seems incapable of giving a response to a direct order instead of an extended explanation.

I want DIRECT links to documents when I ask for a direct link THE FIRST TIME, not the 4th. Almost every time I ask for a specific document, I get 4 explanations ABOUT the document I'm asking for. It should NOT take a discussion taking 4 requests to get to a specific document. It's faster and more accurate to just do a regular internet search yourself.
