Bought a iPhone 13 Pro less than a year ago for my son, turned out it had a fake battery in. Phone won’t turn on, taken to apple and they have said it does need a new battery but there’s also a load of other problems that aren’t worth fixing on it as it will be too expensive. Raised concern with backmarket and the seller but they aren’t interested. Avoid unless you want to get scammed.

Purchased a Dell Laptop rated as excellent for my son before attending university.
The Laptop would not charge when plugged in, removed the the charging cable ,the USBC tip broke and remained attached to the laptop ,the Caps lock button was faulty ,it would not remain on after pressing it.
I ordered a Pentium 5 but received a 7 ,a bonus if the laptop had worked properly but this just reflects the lack of any proper checks ,i noted the above errors within 10 mints of opening the package .
How does this fit with the promise of up to 100 checks?, professionally refurbished???.
I have to say the return process was good ,i submitted images of the faults and the return process was prompt and refund appeared in my account within a few days.

The one star should be for this company who has no respect for its customers but Back Market should not be dealing with a company that has such low standards , it reflects on Back market ,this is my first and last purchase from Back Market .

I purchased a mobile from back market, last July 2026. It worked really well, until last update, (last week) and since then, it hasn’t had any mobile data, on the phone it’s self. I phoned up my provider, and all was ok. Went to iPhone shop, everything on phone was working ok. But, they couldn’t understand why no mobile data, they sent me to Vodafone to see if they could work out why there was a problem?
I am telling you this, as it’s been hours and hours and hours of trying to work out why, there is a problem? In Vodafone I found out finally why my mobile wasn’t working. It was BLACK LISTED. So, I came home, expecting to receive customer service from Back market with apologies that this has happened…..BUT NO.
it’s THEIR POLICY not to really give customer service. From what I discovered today. I only have ONE mobile which I need for work, and as it’s NOT MY FAULT, ITS BLACK LISTED….. why should I have to pay for yet another mobile from them? I either have the choice of returning my mobile, AND GOING WITH A PHONE, FOR A WHILE…. OR PURCHASING A DAY ONE.
I HAVE ALSO BEEN TOLD I DO NOT QUALIFY FOR NEXT DAY DELIVERY. The service is awful. I am going to be writing to the omnibus about this as well. Why should I go without and have all this trouble and anxiety when it’s their fault.

Fantastic service from ordering to delivery. Refurbished iPad perfect for our requirements. This is the 2nd iPad purchased from BackMarket and not disappointed.

I do not recommend this company.
I bought a refurbished phone last year and after 3 weeks a green line appeared on the screen. I sent photos and a video of the faulty phone.
It still worked but I messaged customer service who said to send it back I explained to them that this would leave me without a phone and I need it for work. As it still worked I carried on using it, even though the line was annoying. Eventually the screen went completely blank and the phone was unusable so I messaged them and explained. I was one day over warranty and they said all they could do was offer a measly 10% towards repair costs or a new phone. I explained that they sent me a faulty phone in the first place and could have offered a replacement phone while my phone was being fixed rather than leaving me without a phone at all. They apologised but still said they can only offer me 10%.
So they send me a faulty phone and now I’m the one that has to pay 90% of the cost of a new one. How is that fair?

Had 2 2nd hand phones so far an s23 ultra and an s24 ultra, the s23 ultra was purchased in fair condition and was in very good condition, the s24 ultra iv just bought i got it at a great price and i checked the excellent condition box and im pleased to review its like a brand new phone even the charger was in the wrapper still as new. I purchased an excellent phone from this company. Phone appeared to be fine, if I was not an expert I would have missed the subtle signs.
The phone is not even worth quid.
The second time I have almost been scammed by the fraudulent compamy.

The timing of the purchase and delivery was urgent. The iPhone was competitively priced, and the overall service was perfect. I would definitely recommend Back Market as a choice for an iPhone purchase. The iPhone delivered was in excellent, premium condition and fit the description supplied.

I bought a device that was meant to be above 80% battery health.
It was in the 70s
I returned the battery, and they said they would repair it. After a week without a phone, they returned it with a used battery that only has 82% capacity. When talking with support, they said that is acceptable... I suppose I'll be returning the phone again in a few months when it falls below 80%. Certainly wasting everyone's time
