Please be assured that we have not instructed Royal Mail no to deliver your parcel. On checking the tracking this does appear to be an issue within Royal Mail and the parcel was scanned as Item retention and delivered 2 days later.

I have raised this with Royal Mail from our side and it may be worth you also doing the same.

I am pleased to hear you find our service amazing and welcome the opportunity to discuss the issues you are having with one item.

Unfortunately, it does appear this issue is caused by a stock issue with the item in question.

When a prescription is received, this enters the dispensary. At this point if an item out of stock is identified then our purchasing department contact the multiple supplies to obtain a time frame of when this will be available again.

Once we have this information then this is communicated to yourself. If the prescription has additional items we also give you the option to split the out of stock item from the rest of the items to enable them to process for you.

There are lots of reasons why medicines may be in short supply, including problems with making the medicine, delays while batches are checked for quality, problems with the transportation of the medicines, or shortages of key ingredients. Sometimes there are problems with medicine prices going up significantly, or there may be a higher demand for a medicine using up all the supplies in the chain for a while. All UK pharmacies are working hard to minimise the impact of these shortages on our patients.
