We loved being a taster maker.
Three cats, each a total different experience, interesting to observe.
One can't be fooled, (Simba) always the bowl on the right side first, no matter the contents.
The other ( Momo) wolfed everything down super fast to then try stealing from Cat number three. (Samiah) who also liked both receipes equally.

Thank you for your trial. I wish I could hear about the results of the difference in receipe and which ones will be on offer.

I was dissapointed with my first degusta box. Items are not worth that money spent at all, considering I ticked that I am vegetarian and having received pork pops. I also got two tiny packages of sweets twice. Not sure I'll carry on, have postphoned next box for several months to make up my mind.

It is time to give feedback after having tried various truestart coffee:
The "red" is perfect, proper coffee taste with no unpleasant tastes. I preferred the red to all the others. Quite an investment compared to Pact coffee who roasts on demand. But as an occasional treat I shall order more.
Instant? I shall only continue with the decaf for a quick cuppa in the evening. I tried green and yellow but it tastes no different then othe instant coffees, which for me is no coffee at all.
The iced coffee is absolute fabulous for a quick fix with my oat milk when I don't have cold coffee self brewed at the ready.
I shall order more too.
I still have to try the water filtered coffees though

Superfast service. Ordered by 11pm, arrived next day afternoon. Well impressed again. Since Peeko took over the delivery cost is much more reasonable and I'm happy to have spotted a few bargains again

Once again I can't praise Marro enough.
Besides excellent food source ( I left reviews before) Well organised and thought through packaging I can't fault them.
The communication is outstanding. Especially when just over two weeks ago one of my felines passed away I was overwhelmed having received their condolences. Throughout steady email contact over the last two years since I joined my boy was known amongst the staff. I felt less alone throughout this heartbreaking journey.

Since take over I have good email contact which is very helpful. Hard to have yo pay so much for free delivery though, buying more then intended

All my felines love MARRO, but it is more sparse for them during the summer, (I need some ice cream space) unless someone will donate an extra Marro freezer for Simba & co.
I feed alongside dry food otherwise I would have to starve.
If you know how to communicate to Fin the robot properly, you'll get through to the human Marro team too.
Once that happens, the team is always super accommodating and helpful.
To rate a team member one will see their photo too, which is a nice touch.
I have been with Marro now for - I think - two years, after "Katkin" changed their receipe and it was aweful.
I hope Marro keeps it as is!!!
The new flavours go down extremely well too. Only turkey mine don't seem to like any longer.
It is a bit tough for my vegetarian stomach to have to deal with, heating the pouches with hot water ( not in microwave as sooo bad) and serve.
But a servant I'll remain.

Reading lots of the 1/2 star comments it seems some people don't understand what needs to be done to not repeat orders if unsatisfactory. Nor how to serve the very fatty beef in a better way (I can't stand that one either, but learnt to let it warm up in hot water longer for the fat to melt, no problem then and using a knife to make smaller portions) Maybe those aspects could be addressed in marketing as well as highlight more prominently that freezer space is needed.

Superb as every single coffee I tried so far (10 in total as taster boxes) I just couldn't resist to gift myself plus a friend this limited edition. Yes, arrived just in time and I already indulge in on Friday 13th.
Full of promised flavour.
This company I can whole heartely fully recommend.
So unasuming, no fuss I look forward to continue getting other flavours to try.
I just wish I would have gotten different tasters when ordering 3 taster pack of four each, after my initial two orders.

Every single taster coffee was a delight to drink. Rich, full of flavour, no acidity.
I have tried various companies before but... the very fact Tank gives just 80g as tasters to try
for the same price as other companies subscriptions you will in fact get 320g as they come in packs of four, rather then 250g.
The waterfall project was the bees knees!

I can't fathom that there has not been a single review on trust pilot for a company being active over a decade. I guess someone has to start.
I only have seen approximate 3-6 reviews of various coffees on the actual website.
Regardless, I decided to give their coffee a chance.
I appreciate the idea of being able to purchase 4×80gr sachets, enough to have several goes in trying out various flavours.
I absolutely loved the special edition of the waterfall project and I hope by the time I tried all eight varieties (yes I did order the tasters twice) it will still be available with the limited days of discount offered.
I have also tried the AA Kenya, superb too and the Decaf.
Very excited to try and compare the rest.
The reason I gave 3 stars is for lack of email communication as well as calling. ("Someone will call you back", but that never happened)
I did not give up as I really appreciate where the coffee is sourced and the companies comitment to the sellers.
So I tried Facebook as a last resort, which I generally avoid using.
Promptly I was heard and courteously dealt with. Thank you.
And needless to say, my cats have a ball to sleep on the delivery boxes. I created and shared two videos as well, having tagged the company on YouTube.

Advent calender coffee tasting:

Here a rather lengthy feedback, of course as it was 25 days.
In a nutshell, winner up by far was ‘Farenza Reis’ – I had not bought before due being so much more expensive, but what a special treat it was indeed. 10 stars if I could have done so.
The calendar was my X-mas gift to myself and my friend, so we could indulge in comparing our daily treats – or sometimes share the disaster. In general it was a great joy to first smell the beans, already getting an idea what the coffee might taste like, then smell the ground coffee and finally very slowly (Hard for me as I have an asbestos mouth and need to drink coffee hot) trying to first detect the nuiancing flavours and tastes. I miserably failed most of the time but certainly spotted the chocolate enhanced ones a long way off.
Some coffees tasted the best while hot. I always left a bit to get cold, therefore I tasted some coffees were really nice cold too while others found the sink.
My friend is such a great coffee connoisseur to share coffees with he made a point looking at the beans first (we both only looked after tasting it what coffee it might be though) to see how to precede with grinding and temperature to brew. This is far too much for me, I just made sure I just measured the beans the same every time (less then was in the package).
We both mostly had the same experience - for liking darker coffees.
I was surprised that one of the light ones actually hit my palette with joy.
Some were almost less then one star and I am glad this was a good way to taste different coffees before buying a bag.
I certainly would like to buy some of them again to add to the list of my so far favourites I have tried in 250g or even 1kg bags.

I won't mention the 0 star or a few 1 stars.

Terras Atlas was great, I had bought before already.
This concludes the indulgence, now I have to return to ‘normal’ coffee for months on end as the calendar robbed me off my savings, but it was the indulgent sharing pleasure that stays in memory!

Smell on opening: not like (fresh) coffee at all.
Smell after grinding: sightly improved.
Taste: mediocre "2" - can't detect the so called flavours.

Day 2
Taste: Pleasant 4-5 (Terra Atlas, bought before)

Day 3 (Recanto)
SO: 4
SA: 4
Taste: wao! Perfect, alongside Bourbon

Day 4 (Colombia)
SO: 5 like marzipan
SA: 4
Taste: very pleasant, 5

And so it continued.
Great fun!
But next time I rather buy a kg of the highlight and enjoy the plentiful Fazenta Reis

Can't fault the company for their service. Excellent replies in offering satisfactory solutions when received coffee tastes less then adequate.
I meanwhile learnt, although the idea of receiving and drinking coffee as soon as it's roasted (unlike supermarket coffee that could be months old) some beans need to release their oxygen for a while before they taste better.
Having said that, some coffee taste and smell marvelous on arrival, such daily treats.
The advent calender way over my budget limit,
(But I bought it anyway as a gourmet Xmas present to myself) yet a good idea to try out different tastes without needing a whole bag.

I, well, my 4 felines, love Marro.
Especially one of them eats like lightening - the fish and chicken. Beef is good too, no fan of turkey.
As expensive to feed four cats on this super nutricious food I do supplement with good quality dry food in the morning being added. For the evening meal I feed something else to keep costs at bay.
I really appreciate the good quality, yet sometimes I'm concerned when electricity fails and my freezer is full up with Marro.

I personally would prefer, not to have to communicate with Fin the robot, although I understand more and more company's di so as being very busy.

Six weeks "maturing" turned a vile smelling and tasting "La Energia" into quite a palpable experience.
The reason I buy and love Pact coffee is that I can make a divine brew two days after it has been roasted, unlike supermarket coffees which are often a year old.
Obviously this La Energia as been taken to its limits did not work that way.
I suggest maybe make a "maturing" time known in the discription.

After rececent disappointed with "La energia" I indulged into the new flavour of "Sitio De Jaja". Yes!!! The delicious coffee scent of newly roasted when first opening the bag this morning...perfect taste of full flavour, no acidity. Perfect again, just like the House expresso and Bourbon was.
Excellent customer service after my recent unsatisfactory coffee experience.
As promised I received a complimentary different coffee of my choice to make up for the one that was plain terrible.
So far I always liked the dark roasts and the new
"Sitio De Jaja" hit my pallet in the right spot.

Regards "La Energia Filter"
I thought I treat myself to buy this extra expensive edition. Never smelled a coffee that "vile" the only way to describe it upon opening the pouch. It did not smell of coffee at all, neither after it was ground. Accordingly it tasted terrible too.
Slight improvement with full fat milk (usually I don't like it, prefer semi skimmed).
I experimented with both versions, filter and expresso, also interexchanged both as filter and or mocca pot brew.....
However...
Leaving beans for a week after arrival, taste improved, smell still not like coffee but a hint of something....
I'll look forward to my next order of Bourbon coffee which I absolutely love.
UPDATE.
The review was for above mentioned coffee experience, therefore I can't give a better star, but will give a new review for excellent service rectifying the disappointment. It was very much appreciated and well received. Thank you.

Thank you for actually knocking on the door, appreciated. I was not fast enough to answer. Good it did not rain, otherwise if I were out, parcel would have gotten wet

Sadly I don't like the smell, to me it smells very artificial - the cleaning sprays.
The actual bottles are fabulous!

Glad to be able to subscribe the dry cat foods in intervals to my boys' needs.
They only eat the dry, I tried Harrington's wet which unfortunately was rejected with no glance at all
