Sloppy Craftsmanship at Zanduco

Not a happy customer. I am writing my review now because what they did was so wrong and i believe that people should know the good and the bad. I bought a stainless steel kitchen table. For some reason the caster wheels were not available from them so i went elsewhere. The table arrived and i opened it up and started putting it together and the realized that it has borne some very serious impact. I contacted them and never heard back from them. Now that I want to add an additional shelve on it, i realize that to do so would not be wise and would be dangerous. What is evident is that someone did a really bad job re-welding that bent corner of the steel lip of the table. A sloppy job really. It is clear that this happened before it reached my place, and certainly the shipping people did not do this. Again, this is not standard factory craftsmanship and they refused to return my emails, even after i sent them photos, which I would like to post here. So beware. And the CSR was Eva Lorena.

Hi Rangdrol,

We are very sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, after thoroughly checking our records, we are unable to find any past or current orders under your name, nor has Eva received any correspondence from you.

We also want to clarify that all of our tables are brand new, direct from the factory, and we absolutely do not perform any re-welding on our products. While structural imperfections can sometimes occur from rough handling during transit, it is difficult to determine the cause without having had the opportunity to inspect the damage. Because these details do not align with our standard quality control, we are eager to look into this further to see exactly what happened.

Please reach out to us directly at sales@zanduco.com with your order number, business name, or the email address used for your purchase, along with pictures of the packaging and the product so we can properly investigate this and see how we can assist you.

Best regards,
The Zanduco Team

IceCreamMakers.ca doesnt seem to be a real business…

Well, my bank refused this transaction. So it seems that this might be another company running a scam, which is why the transaction was terminated. They say they do business also as griddle ca, but i was wondering why they were selling a machine for 425,00 and only charging 20$ taxes, because i live in Quebec province, taxes are usually more than that…So, stay away, They also have NO PHONE NUMBER. What kind of business has no phone number??? And NO REVIEWS???? Well this is scary.

I Never received a product—Fake tracking and non-working phone numbers.

I never received the watch I ordered from GardPro. The day after my purchase, I contacted them to cancel. They told me I could simply refuse delivery when the shipper arrived. However, no delivery attempt was ever made, no one rang my bell, yet they claim it was delivered.

The logistics company they used, Emile XPress, appears completely illegitimate. I tried for five days on four different browsers to enter my tracking number on their site, but the space provided does not function. This is a tactic used by shady businesses and is called input-blocking.

Their listed phone number is invalid and does not exist, and they do not reply to emails. Their "chat" option is entirely unresponsive.

GardPro is no better. Their supposed phone number in Holland does not work; it is actually a masked VOIP line routed through Alabama, USA.

Their customer service replies are entirely automated, and they refuse to honor their policy to refund my money. This entire operation relies on non-functioning contact methods to avoid accountability. Be very wary of doing business with them.

EMile XPress doesn’t have a phone, and doesnt respond to emails…

It is a scam company. I dont even think they are a real company. I think they are in cahoots with several other scam businesses in Asia.

First i never got my watch. GardPro dot com sells watches that I thought were great but i need a cell phone and as a monk I dont use cell phones. I dont need it, and its just another technological distraction.

So i contacted Gard Pro to tell them to cancel, as it had not yet shipped, the day after my purchase. They said I could refuse delivery when the shipper delivered it. He/she never showed, but they claim they made the delivery.

Then i tried to enter my tracking number, and contact the shipper, but two things happened. One, is that we cannot enter tracking numbers on the space provided on their site. I tried for five days on 4 different browsers. Then I tried calling them, and the phone number is not valid. It’s not real, it doesnt exist.

They did not answer my emails, for a week now, and their supposed CHAT option isnt a chat at all, and they ask you to wait for 2 hours…wow. That says it all.

The same thing with GardPro, supposedly based in Holland. The number they have doesnt work. The email they use is part of a sophisticated system called Ghost Shipping, and is all part of the larger « Drop-Shipping White-Label Scam » also coined a "Phantom Logistics" or "Ghost Shipping operation, employed, in this case, but GardPro.com.

So, does GardPro really exist…I guess they do because for some bizarre reason many consumers have let positive experiences and reviews here. But if you go online you will find many who have had similar experiences as I have, and those are not on Trust Pilot, for whatever reason.

Another fact, when I call them in Holland, GardPro’s supposed base, their phone number doesnt work. Though I was told two different occasions that i could refused the package delivery when it was made, no one ever rang my bell and I don’t believe they ever made a delivery.

I dont think Emile XPress exists. Why dont they have a phone number that works? Why dont they have a CHAT that works? Why dont respond to my questions? Who does that??? And the same with GARDPro. They answer via a suspicious scam system that is really an AI csr system, so I’m I never talking to real people. They have refused to honor their own policy and refund me my money, and others have dealt with similar issues from them also.
In fact, the phone number in Holland is actually a VOIP phone system phone, based in Alabama, USA. And their phony packaging and other USA business account in the US is also not a real storefront, but a FRONT, all part of the scam.

So, we dont have a choice, do we, selecting shippers. At least I didn’t, but I would be wary when you check companies out, especially when its not a company you know, or have every done business with. Do not let the pretty picture fool you.

i have to say i was impressed when i first created my own health app in replit. however, there were many issues and fixes, for a very simple medical app i was going to use to monitor my health issues. Replit charged me what i thought was a one-time 20.00 CAD fee, but then they came trying to get more money, and when i notified them they still are trying to get money from my account. BEWARE. During the app design process the AI was helpful but i couldn’t get replit to ex-lain thrift procedures to me—it was impossible to get a hold of them. They also encouraged me to “publish” the app, even before the kinks had been worked out, no doubt there were fees when and if i did that—but I didn’t. Also, i considered putting the app on theApple Store but also couldn’t get hold of that site—some tech issue. In the meantime, i realized this app only had value for me, smd wouldn’t sell on the Apple store, and i had to pay a $100-199$ CAD fee on the Apple Developer’s site. It wasn’t worth it, and so i just dropped the whole thing. Now Replit is still attempting to withdraw money from my credit card—even after I told them i didn’t want it and had cancelled it. SO BEWARE.

However, I was checking my statement and noticed they had also charged my account an extra $68.67 CAD. I promptly wrote them within 24 hours and told them i had NOT selected the “coach” and asked them to refund my account. They said I would not be billed any more money but I am still waiting for a refund and will most likely have to go to my Bank…

Another scam, another counterfeit Chemex Hand blown carafe

This is the first time I’ve ever purchased anything from this company. I purchased a month or so ago a 5 cup, handblown Chemax carafe. I was so excited to get it as I’m a bit of a klutz and I have broken at least four or five of my previous regular glass carafes so I was looking forward to getting this.

I got it and in the course of a few weeks using it I kind of thought something was weird —it didn’t look like handblown glass and didn’t have the heft or weight of a handblown carafe, but looked like the regular, plain glass carafes I had purchased before.

So eventually I contacted the Chemex corporate office in Chicopee, Massachusetts, which happens to be my home state of MA, though I have been living in Montreal for a few years. I asked them if there was any way I could tell if this was really a hand blown carafe, and how much it should weigh, etc. but I got no answer from the customer service rep at Chemex, they remained anonymous. I guess it’s sort of the going thing lately, where customer service reps don’t sign their names, so that you’re talking to the wall basically. So I tried with a couple emails but didn’t get anywhere except that at one point whoever was talking to me said I had not purchased it from an authorized dealer/seller. I didn’t know what that meant but I’ve since learned that some people go out of their way and buy products from a different part of the world or you know buy older stock, and they don’t have an established relationship with the maker of the product, and in that kind of situation, the end user—me—gets shafted, warrantees are not honored.

So I sent Anthonysespresso.com an email telling them wha had happened but didn’t hear from them…After a month I sent another email and I did hear from them: they said that they would investigate and be back in touch with me. That was a couple weeks ago and I have not heard back from them.

I did send them another email, more a legal notice earlier this week. Today while in my email, I got an email asking me to write a review about the product. And so I went and filled out the review telling them what I’m basically telling all of you right now, and then as I hit SEND, the web page suddenly failed, sending me a WHOOPS error message. “Sorry we cannot process your review now “ —probably because I gave it a one star. I took a screenshot.

I have since learned that a 5 cup hand blown carafe should weigh 700 grams, on average, however my carafe weighs under 600 grams. It also does not have the telltale signs, like a greenish tinge to the glass.

I also noticed they say they are a US company but they are actually Canadian company and they have 2 or 3 ,ovations/addresses in Ontario.

Chemex—Hand-blown or not?

ive made many purchases from Chemex Coffee Makers which is a Massachusetts company. I have bought at least 5 carafes and when I asked them how to tell if my carafe was handblown, they said that i had not purchased my carafe from a verified Canadian seller. When I asked how much a handblown carafe (5 cup) should weigh, they gave me this reply: “ We are unable to provide any further information without authentication.”

How can I authenticate my purchase if they wont provide clues to help me authenticate it? Also, Chemex is one of those businesses that remains anonymous when providing customer service, so we cannot know who is responding to our queries. That is not good business practice, and shows no respect for consumers.

I feel like a fool

I feel like a fool. I have been using my PC Card at Pharmaprix in my hood for the past 10 years…maybe longer…I realize that even though I am there weekly that I never have any points…then for the past 3 years I got 5 miles away from my hood to a really great Provigo, that’s a Canadian chain supermarket. I go there because it’s for the wealthy, and they have things that we don’t have in my run down immigrant Metro supermarket. Things like fresh scallops, seafood, all the things I cannot get near my house. So when I go there I spend mucho money, as food in Montreal is like so much more than food in Boston which is where I was for several decades. In any case, when I go there they tell me that my card doesn’t work—but they can’t help me. Either the manager is not there, or some excuse. So I’ve lost out on at l east $500 worth of points….and that bites. So today I signed into my PCOptimum card, but it wont accept my password. I click on the FORGOT PASSWORD linke and it should send me a code or something, but after trying it six times or more, nothing happens. And yes, I checked all my folders. Then I try to get help but there is no way to get help to do so other that to work with their BOT and this has got to be the dumbest AI I have ever me….and the only way to reach them is to call but my VOIP phone is down..its been a rough month…So, I have been missing out on points for more than a decade. I can’t even get the bot to understand that the password log in thing is a factor…and no way to reach out any other live agent. This is a poor way to run a business. Oh, and now they want me to give them a cell phone, but I don’t have or want a cell phone. I’m grateful that I’m no addicted to cell technology…but seems that everyone is conspiring to get us all the buy cell phones…and cell plans…

I’m a bit worried

I’m abit worried. I’ve dealt with this company years ago and purchased some things. However, I placed an order around the 13th or 14th of February 2026, they billed me the 16th, and they still haven’t shipped anything. They are supposedly in Eugene Oregon but people on Reddit who live in Eugene Oregon say that the store closed during Covid, 2020-2021.

I’m worried because I got an email from them saying when I asked about my products and they said they had had a snowstorm and would ship stuff the 23rd but when I checked the weather for Eugene Oregon, there were no snow storms for the past two weeks —may be in the mountains, but not on the valley floor, and they haven’t shipped anything as of 27th.

Given that people say they closed, and that there is no reviews at all for a company that’s been in business for a number of years, that’s just really strange. I don’t understand that at all. Sadly, I’ve been scammed a few times and something isn’t adding up.

Grab and go plus.com an American company selling cellular subscriptions in Quebec.

Grab and go plus.com may be an American company but they’re doing business in Montreal, Quebec. I wonder why they have not a one review???
I was stunned: I had ordered a Lucky Mobile prepaid SIM phone card via amazon.ca, and was expecting a $25 card, not a card from Grab and Go Plus.
So it’s not a “prepaid” card—well, for the first month it is—but then they force you into a monthly plan— which is what all Canadian cellular providers want you to do…now. Except for a form)any called Good2Go.
As a Buddhist monk, my needs are not comparable to those of a householder, a business guy, or student at uni. I have lived many decades without a cell phone, and I am happier for it. In fact I only need one because my bank is telling me they will no longer send verification codes to my email. Sadly, Canadian banks are quite old-fashioned so they have no alternative means of sending codes. They won’t accept VOIP phones (but they think SMS is safe?) and BMO has no alternative technologies. In the US, banks routinely use Yubikey, a secure hardware that could easily handle these sorts of transactions.
Canada has already stopped using prepaid cards in the manner we have used them for the past two decades. They will still be sold—but won’t be used in the same manner, instead, they are now part of the “subscription trap”. This is another arm-twisting venture Canadian cellular entities are using—forcing— on its customers, just like the banks are doing when they decided to alter their verification code guidelines, forcing us to have to buy cell phones if we want to use online banking.

It seems that for juicy SMS the most important thing is getting a potential customers email address so they can bombard us with notifications and sales pitches etc. I just d/c them. I am very certain that his company is a remake of thei old business. A couple of years ago I ordered a product and it took some time but I never got it so I had to bug them for more than a month to get my refund. Then I came to trust pilot and I found hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of complaints about that particular company not chefsupplies though.

Then several months later I was on the Internet looking to buy some thing— cookware— and I came across this and I thought this is bizarre. This looks exactly like the other website and I’m pretty sure that is the design it is exactly like the previous site. It’s a monumental website and it takes a lot of work to create but they already had a site— They simply changed the names and some of the design.
NB: they are supposedly in Windsor. That’s Windsor Ontario. Windsor Ontario is the same place the old company was at.

I had even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Windsor Ontario. I had also called the police department in Windsor, and they told me that they “had heard of them.“

I also launched another complaint with some Canadian organization. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of that old company but I will look to see if I can find my original review on trust pilot.ca. Just now I realize that there is a trust pilot.com and a trust pilot.ca. Thank you.

Just beware —I’m pretty sure that this is the same same company where hundreds of people had filed complaints.
