🚜 We closed out our Go Green Week with a day away from the office at FarmFun in Bocholt! Our AvioBook team competed in small teams for a mix of fun (and slightly chaotic) challenges between the cows and tractors, enjoyed a delicious BBQ from 't Barbeknoeierke, and wound down with an interactive walk around the domain. Nothing like stepping outside the daily routine to reconnect as a team. A big thank you to our AvioBook family for the energy and dedication you bring to building AvioBook, every single day. Weather shifts, a GNSS interference warning pops up, turnaround times change, and the cockpit and the OCC often end up working from a different version of the same flight, with crew piecing together several tools to keep up. Last week, our AvioBook team took a break from cockpits and checklists to focus on something just as important: our footprint on the ground 🌍 Working in aviation means being closely aware of our industry's environmental footprint. It's a responsibility we take seriously, and one we try to act on wherever we can. During Go Green Week, we dedicated five days to doing just that. ♻️ Gave old laptops and monitors a second life, raising an amazing €11,350 to donate to charity 🚲 Chose greener ways to get to work: biking, carpooling, public transport... 🥗 Learned how to make spring rolls from "forgotten" vegetables, thanks to our beloved Chaleerat N., who taught us how to turn leftovers into a delicious, zero-waste meal 🧤 Cleaned up litter around Hasselt with Mooimakers 🎯 Closed the week with teambuilding (and a BBQ!) at FarmFun Small actions, but a shared impact: less waste, a lower footprint, and a team that came together for a good cause. Turnarounds are where airline schedules are won or lost, and where operational data has traditionally been hardest to trust. In a new post on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Machine Learning blog, we share how AvioBook's Connected Analytics puts generative AI to work on the ramp. Two role-specific AI agents, built on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, giving airline management and OCC dispatchers evidence-based answers on delay causes, procedure compliance, and disruption impact, in real time instead of after the fact. This is what happens when the operational data already captured in the cockpit and on the ramp finally gets put to work, not to replace human judgement, but to sharpen it. And we're not done yet: this is still very much a work in progress, and we're continuing to build on it. There's a lot of data sitting on every aircraft after a flight. To analyze incidents, improve efficiency, or troubleshoot a defect, airlines need it, straight from the source. For most fleets, that still means sending someone out to retrieve it in person. AvioCast removes that step.
